keeper of the realms

William was getting an unsettling feeling as he neared the village.It felt like something was not right .

As he got closer a familiar scent hit his nose.William was sure he could have not mistaken this scent since he had spent a lot of time in the black abyssal forest being surrounded by this scent .

It was the smell of blood.

William immediately broke into a sprint , he just hoped that it was nothing serious and nothing bad had happened to the villagers.

Even after they had treated him badly , he still didn't wish harm upon them.

The scene that greeted William when he got out of the black abyssal forest was horrifying.

Dismembered body parts filled the ground

"Oh no!" William couldn't help but exclaim when he spotted Essex on the ground drowned in his own blood .

For such a impeccable warrior to be brutality killed , this could only mean he was killed by a skilled person .

William remembered his parents and dashed uphill where their house was located,he just hoped that nothing bad had happened to them .

Losing them would mean he had lost everything important in this world

But as William neared his home , the hopes he had were quickly diminishing since there was only signs of slaughter in front of him.

Even at top speed , it took William a while to arrive at his house .His worst fears had become true .

A horrifying scene was unfolding before his eyes .A slim man with black daggers in both hands stood in front of my parents house and seemed to be enjoying a view of something.

Tilting my head a little to the side , i could now clearly see my parents headless bodies lying on the floor. Immediately after a more bulky man stepped out from the interior of the house , his body soaked in blood.

"There is nothing better that bathing in the blood of my victims , too bad this mortals were pretty weak " the bulky man said with a little displeasure .

" the dark lord ordered us to find a person in this dump , but their is no one who is strong enough that meet his description " the slim man said seemingly lost in thoughts.

" he he that is why I made sure to kill everyone " the bulky man seemed pleased with what he had done .

William could not bear to here the conversation any longer , his blood was boiling so much that it made his body tremble . This people couldn't be human ; no human could have ever done this .This was work done by demons .

William could not allow them to live .He charged with his rusty sword , very determined to end their lives.

but in the next instance William's body was sent flying like a rag doll and he hit a nearby tree which broke his back.

" Aah! " William didn't even have time to react .The attack was way too fast for him to react to. The instance the bulky man saw William approaching , he dashed towards William  and body slammed him.

"looks like one of them had managed to survive , but no worries this should be enough" the slim man said as he threw one of his dagger and it stabbed William where his heart was located. 

William started to feel a numbness spreading all over his body that started from his lower limbs . " mortal I know you have started feeling it , its my specialty ;my poison will eat you from the inside once you become all numb" 

" we shouldn't keep the dark lord waiting , let us leave this place " immediately the two men shot in the sky and disappeared in the horizon .

' i'm I going to die like this ?' William thought .he was regretful since he could not avenge his parents , the only people who really loved him unconditionally .His whole village was murdered and he could do nothing about it since he was to weak.

he hated being weak , tears started flowing out of his eyes ; William was truly frustrated.William's heartbeat diminished overtime until it stopped , he was now dead.

at that moment a foreign mythical energy started to circulate in William's body , it seemed to purify his bones as it passed and it also made them stronger . All the wounds present on William's body started to heal at a rapid pace visible to the naked eye. William's muscles and facial features became pronounced , it looked like he was being sculptured . 

William's heart started beating again but he was still unconscious . after an unknown amount of time William finally regained consciousness .

" what happened , wasn't i dead a moment ago ?" William was confused then suddenly he remembered the two powerful men he saw earlier . William rose quickly and was vigilant but to his disappointment the two men had already left .

now William had time to examine his body properly , he couldn't explain why he was still alive . William could feel an unknown yet familiar energy circulating inside his body ,he could clearly feel it pass through all the meridians in his body.

this surprised him greatly since only people with abilities were able to circulate an energy called mana through their meridians .But to William this energy felt different from what he heard people describe as mana .It felt familiar yet he couldn't quite comprehend it.

William tried to manifest this energy and he could feel it cover his body, he was immediately washed over by the feeling of having power .Immediately William got up and hit a nearby boulder with his bear fist , he was joyful to find that his assumption was correct ;this energy could act like a mana source for him and give him supernatural abilities. 

William suddenly remembered his parents and immediately dashed into the house .The regret he had been feeling before his 'death' resurfaced , he wished he had been stronger at that time or at least had this foreign power ;maybe he could have been useful.

the only thing William could do was bury his parents and take revenge for them .By the time he was finished it was already sundown but he couldn't stop there ,William still had to bury the rest of the villagers to show his respect and promise .

by the time he was finished it was already day break and now William had to get stronger or else he would never make good of his promise.
