Chapter 95
Chapter 95. Rodan In The Wilderness
The merchandise has been decided. It’s cassava.
Returning to the inn from the Verierro Company to make plans. I won’t be able to sleep for a while anyway.
…Even though I just caused a ruckus yesterday…
Now, about cassava. Imagine it as a large, elongated yam or a natural yam. It’s quite large, weighing exactly 2kg each. If you understand that the cassava coming out of the SHOP is about that size, that’s good. Imagine filling a large basket with them and it’s about 20kg.
Currently approved is Cassava (2kg) = ¥1000, so I’ll add two more.
Sack of Cassava (10kg) = ¥5000
Sack of Cassava (20kg) = ¥10,000
The sack is included as a service. Quite generous.
But is this price high or low?
When I asked Cherina, it seems that food prices have been skyrocketing since yesterday, so it’s actually on the cheaper side. Then it’s not a problem.
If Cherina’s company can produce them in bulk, the prices will surely stabilize. It would be troublesome if not…
There’s another reason I chose cassava. If more people consume cassava now, it’ll be easier to accept when we introduce it in Verierro shortly.
…Well, I don’t expect to sell that much, but maybe some savvy merchants will buy a reasonable amount.
Should I increase the selling price by about 30%?
One cassava for ¥1300. It’s quite large, so whether it’s considered expensive or cheap depends on the customer. If one person buys one, even with a bonus of ¥100 for a symbol, it’s a profit of ¥200. If I sell to my target of 100 people, that’s ¥20,000. Cherina said we don’t need to pay for the stall, so it’s almost all profit. Even if I use ¥20,000 for Yararai, it’ll disappear… well, it can’t be helped. Let’s hope some customers come by luck.
The remaining matters will have to be prepared while consulting with the responsible person tomorrow. Anyway, I have to rely on SHOP.
That said, let’s advance some of the pending agenda items a bit. One of them is organizing the containers. The containers are a mess right now because of things like firearms stored in them.
And another thing. There are a lot of “sets” being added to the SHOP list.
Every time I change the composition of the luggage and put it in and out of the containers, the sets increase endlessly. Today, I’ll organize this too.
Actually, these sets can be renamed or removed from the list. So I thought I’d sort it out eventually, but it turned out to be a frightening number.
The contents of the set are displayed while selecting from the list. I was deleting them one by one just to be sure. Most of them were sets where the contents of the carry bags were swapped, but I found such a set.
Set (Pet bottle (water 500ml)) = ¥71
Set (Pet bottle (tea 500ml)) = ¥71
Set (M4 magazine (30 rounds loaded with lethal bullets)) = ¥199,800
Set (M4 magazine (30 rounds loaded)) = ¥31,800
Set (SIG SAUER P229 magazine (12 rounds loaded)) = ¥5,184
Oh, right. I stored them with bullets in them. Yeah. Let’s rename each of them and add them clearly to the SHOP list. It’s irrelevant, but the P229 has one less bullet for jam prevention. It’s makeshift, though.
So, here’s the correction.
Pet bottle (water 500ml) = ¥71
Pet bottle (tea 500ml) = ¥71
SIG SAUER P229 magazine (12 rounds loaded) = ¥5,184
M4 magazine (30 rounds loaded) = ¥31,800
M4 magazine (30 rounds loaded with lethal bullets) = ¥199,800
I deleted the annoying sets. I’ve used up all the stun grenades, but I haven’t bought any particularly.
There are also additional items.
Disposable masks (60 pieces) = ¥838
First aid kit (large) = ¥1,980
Cephalosporin antibiotics (10 tablets × 5 sheets) = ¥11,200
Ibuprofen painkiller (12 tablets) = ¥648
Of course, I handed them over to Cherina. I explained how to use antibiotics and painkillers to her before giving them. The precautions are also written in this world’s characters.
And using the function of this set, I’ve upgraded the first aid kit.
Here’s what I renamed and added to the SHOP list along with the original first aid kit. The items marked with ● are the additions.
First Aid Kit (Good) = ¥31,188
●Suture needles with thread (10 sets)
●Surgical gloves (20 pairs)
●Cephalosporin antibiotics (10 tablets × 5 sheets)
●Ibuprofen (12 tablets)
●First aid kit (large)
●Disposable masks (60 pieces)

>Emergency adhesive plaster 100 pieces

>Tweezers (2 pieces)
Regarding this, I’ve made a promise to Verierro Company that if they want it, I’ll sell it to them at cost. Today, they asked me to sell about 2 sets on my way home. They want it to be used inconspicuously.
There’s another thing I’ve organized. I’ve actually been doing this from a while back, but I just didn’t specify it.
There are two medium-sized hemp bags with the following items inside. Don’t worry about the prices written. It’s just my personal memo.
>Salt (1kg) = ¥399
>Pepper (100g) = ¥720
>Cake flour (1kg) = ¥398
>Bread crumbs (100g) = ¥95
>Salad oil (1300g) = ¥295
>Tonkatsu sauce = ¥276
>Sugar (1kg) = ¥603
>Tartar sauce (12g × 10) = ¥252

>Ponzu sauce (500ml) = ¥700
>Miso (750g) = ¥285
>Wasabi (tube) = ¥145
>Kombu dashi (granules 1kg) = ¥1257
>Bonito dashi (granules 1kg) = ¥1040
>Katsuobushi (4.5g × 5 bags) = ¥190
>Green seaweed = ¥331
These also change each time I cook, but please think that they are mostly in two bags. I delete the list when it increases.
Furthermore, I made another set.
Hard Candy Set (Small Hemp Bag) = ¥900
>Strawberry hard candy × 5
>Lemon hard candy × 5
…Don’t ask who it’s for. Most of it is for the bag cost… Occasionally, adding candies and keeping them should be fine.
After much consideration, I decided to buy a rifle again. I didn’t expect to be involved in such a situation again, but it’s not certain that another huge buffalo won’t appear. There seem to be griffons too. Although it’s completely unknown how effective it will be with just a carbine… A lightsaber seems like overkill… But I’ll definitely use it next time I’m attacked by a buffalo. Yeah.
So, I bought various things, and the remaining amount changed. It decreased by about ¥258,618.
Remaining balance: ¥4,482,543.
At this point, I thought about the opinions regarding the sets. And then…
Approved. Sets will no longer be automatically created and will all be manual from now on –
Oh. It worked out well.
Now, sets won’t increase every time the contents change a little.
Since the organization of the SHOP list is like this, I organized the containers this time. There were many times when the number of containers was tight and I had to stuff them into carry bags.
While organizing the containers, I noticed that the name of the homemade symbol I had from the beginning had been changed to the Original Symbol (Merchant God Melhes).
This is not displayed on the SHOP list.
I tried buying the symbol (Merchant God Melhes) = ¥100 on the list and compared it with the original, and indeed, compared to the original, it was neatly shaped and beautiful. There was a world of difference between the original, which had fingerprints all over it.
As a bonus, I also purchased the remaining 99 and the medium-sized hemp bag together with the symbols to keep 100 symbols together.
…Oops, I should have made the sets first.
Merchant God Melhes Symbol Set (100 pieces in medium hemp bag) = ¥10,000
…The hemp bag cost was included as a service. I lost money on the bag cost.
Remaining balance: ¥4,472,543.

55 Empty Containers
This is how I managed to organize it and secure 5 empty containers. On the flip side, you could say I only managed to secure 5 slots, but I’ll choose not to worry about that.
After finishing my bedtime smoke, I muttered to the symbol.
“Aren’t you actually a curse goddess?”
