Kashiwagi had mixed feelings upon hearing it.

"What do you mean, 'me too'?"

"It's the exact same posture as eating ice cream."

"In that case, why aren't you worried at all?"

Kashiwagi pursed her pink lips, hesitating whether to voice her thoughts. It seemed that beating around the bush was no longer effective.

The little girl in front of her might, like Kaguya-san, lack certain physiological knowledge...

"It's my brother," the silver-haired loli suddenly said.

"Huh?"

Reina took out her cell phone and showed a picture of a family of four. The parents stood in the back, while two children were in the front.

One was Reina, and the other was a boy with short hair.

"That's her," Amamiya Natsuki said. "So, the person we met at the arcade is your brother?"

"Yeah." The silver-haired loli spoke with a blank expression. "My brother sometimes likes to wear a wig and my clothes when he goes out to play."

Got it.

So, he's a cross-dresser.

This needs to be corrected in time, or he might bring home a boyfriend in the future!

"I see," Kashiwagi murmured, still a little hesitant. "But the posture for eating ice cream..."

"It's Mom," Aharen Reina said calmly. "Mom always eats ice cream like that, and my brother imitates her."

Kaguya crossed her arms. "Parents are indeed the first role models for children."

Kashiwagi: "..."

Very well.

At least he wasn't a middle-aged convenience store clerk or an evil teacher at school. It was just a false alarm.

Kashiwagi sighed in relief, looked at Amamiya Natsuki, and apologized softly:

"Amamiya-kun, Kaguya-san, I'm sorry for causing you trouble."

"Detective Kashiwagi, there's no need to apologize," Amamiya replied, slightly exasperated. "This is what we're here for."

"What kind of name is that?" Kashiwagi bit her lower lip and glanced at the darkening sky. "So, shall we leave now?"

Amamiya looked down at the silver-haired loli clinging to his leg and shook his head.

"Shinomiya-san and I still have things to do. You should go ahead."

"I understand." Kashiwagi nodded gently, waved goodbye, and said, "...See you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow."

"..."

After watching Kashiwagi leave, Shinomiya Kaguya looked down at the silver-haired loli.

"So, what are you going to do?"

She'd been holding him for a while!

Even if you're an elementary school student, it's unreasonable to cling to others all the time!

"Evil spirit." The silver-haired loli stood on tiptoe, leaned close to Amamiya's ear, and whispered:

"There's an evil spirit in the house. It's very scary. I'm too afraid to sleep. I want the evil spirit to go away."

After saying this, the silver-haired loli suddenly pulled out a prop and handed it to Amamiya.

Amamiya raised an eyebrow and asked, "What's this?"

"Rules."

The silver-haired loli's answer was simple and direct.

The so-called 'rules' are that there is no free lunch in this world. If you want to get help, you must pay the corresponding props.

[Item: Bunny Girl Uniform]

- Type: Clothing Card

- Defense: Weak

- Attribute: Instant outfit change. Store the clothing card in your inventory. When needed, it allows for an immediate costume switch. Usable repeatedly, with a cooldown of ten minutes between uses.

- Note: Time flies… the tale of the Bunny Girl Senpai is already five years old.

"This is the first time I've come across a costume item," Amamiya murmured, turning the card over in his hand.

Although it offered no attribute bonuses, the instant-change feature was useful and would likely be quite popular.

"Are you sure you want to trade this card?" he asked, looking to the silver-haired girl.

The girl nodded without hesitation. "Yes."

"Alright, then," Amamiya replied, slipping the card into his game inventory without further ceremony. "You're now a permanent member. Whenever you need to copy a skill, just let me know."

"Now," the silver-haired girl said, stretching out her hand.

Five minutes later…

"That should do it," Amamiya said, releasing her hand.

The skill transfer, 'Evil Spirits Begone', was complete.

"I'm heading home," the silver-haired girl said, giving a brief wave as she left.

Finally breaking her silence, Kaguya's voice rang out, clear and soft: "It's about time for us to head back too."

The sun was setting, and the birds were making their way home to roost. It was indeed time to leave.

"Wait a second." Amamiya called after her. "You still haven't done the most important task of the day."

"Huh?" Kaguya tilted her head, puzzled.

"Of course, it's this." Amamiya held up a coin. "Ready to flip?"

Kaguya bit her lip lightly, quickly steeling herself. "...Let's do it."

She hadn't yet used her random skill card, and if she wanted to maximize her gains, it had to be done, just like staking everything on a relic in a game. Rewards require risk—time, energy, or otherwise.

Taking a steadying breath, Kaguya took the coin. Though she braced herself, she didn't expect a favorable result. In theory, the coin should have a 50/50 chance, but her previous flips had shown a stronger bias toward the "tails" side.

'Plink.'

The coin landed on the back of her hand.

Kaguya's eyes widened in surprise. "It's… head?"

Catching her by surprise, the heads side had finally landed up. Quickly regaining her composure, she activated the random skill card, watching as it dissolved into starlight and merged into her.

"...Skill acquired," she said softly, a satisfied smile tugging at the corners of her mouth as her skill panel materialized.

Curious, Amamiya leaned in for a look.

[Skill: Shadow Walker]

- Type: Active/Permanent

- Attributes: Transforms the user into a shadow cat, allowing the user to slip into the shadow realm. While in this state, the user are immune to normal physical attacks, gain limited resistance to mental attacks, and have an increased movement speed.

- Weakness: Omitted

- Note: Since you've already tamed both 'Madam Cat' and 'Miss Cat', there's no need to revisit their weaknesses, correct?

"Not bad," Amamiya said, his eyes gleaming. "A solid survival skill."

Everyone knew how elusive a Shadowcat could be. If not for its low intelligence, capturing one would be nearly impossible.

"Want to try it out now?" Amamiya asked.

"Tomorrow." Although tempted, Kaguya shook her head. "We're in a park, and it's almost dark. I'll record the data tomorrow."

After all, learning a skill was just the first step; verifying its duration, latency, and specific effects required careful testing.

"Alright, we'll tackle it tomorrow," Amamiya agreed, standing up. "Let's head back."

"Okay."

Kaguya picked up her bag and walked alongside Amamiya, both in companionable silence, until they arrived at her villa.

"You're back, Miss?" Hayasaka materialized beside them in her maid attire, a lollipop in her mouth. "You seem in high spirits, Miss. Looks like the date went well?"

"It wasn't a date." Kaguya corrected her with a faint smile, though her mood was clearly lifted by her new skill. "I could go for a drink… or actually, some ice cream."

"Got it."

Without further comment, Hayasaka fetched an ice cream.

As Kaguya unwrapped it, a memory from the arcade flashed to mind, and out of curiosity, she mimicked what she'd seen.

Hayasaka froze. "M-Miss… has your chastity been lost?!"
