Just dominate me queen

Chapter 6: [6] Harry Potter but real

The Ayre royal mage academy was something straight out of a fantasy dream—or nightmare, depending on how you looked at it. Towering spires of glimmering stone jutted into the sky, their surfaces carved with glowing runes that pulsed with an otherworldly light. The air was thick with the hum of magic, and even as a complete novice, I could feel its energy crawling over my skin.
Eris walked beside me, her usual stoic demeanor firmly in place. She didn't seem fazed by the towering structure or the swirling portals that floated in and out of existence near the entrance. Meanwhile, I was trying not to trip over my own feet as I gawked at everything.
"This place is insane," I muttered, glancing up at a hovering platform where several robed figures were conducting some kind of experiment involving a glowing orb. "It's like Hogwarts on steroids."
Eris gave me a sidelong glance. "You're not here to admire the architecture. Stay focused."
"Right. Focused," I said, tearing my gaze away from the floating platform. "So, who are we meeting again?"
"Dr. Viviana Embers," she said simply. "She's an old acquaintance of mine. If anyone can figure out how to send you back to your world, it's her."
I nodded, though the knot in my stomach tightened. I wasn't sure if I was ready for more magical weirdness, but at this point, I didn't have much of a choice.
We reached the main entrance, where a pair of massive doors swung open on their own, revealing a grand hall filled with even more glowing runes and swirling lights. A group of robed figures bustled past, their hushed conversations punctuated by the occasional spark of magic. Eris ignored them, striding forward with the kind of confidence that made people get out of her way.
"Dr. Embers will likely be in her research wing," she said, leading me down a side corridor that seemed quieter, though no less impressive.
"And she's...nice?" I asked, trying to keep up with her long strides.
"She's eccentric," Eris said flatly. "But she's also brilliant. Don't let her...behavior distract you."
"Behavior?" I repeated, but Eris didn't elaborate.
We finally stopped in front of a door covered in intricate carvings, each one glowing faintly. Eris knocked once, the sound echoing through the corridor.
"Come in!" a singsong voice called from the other side.
Eris pushed the door open, and I stepped inside, my jaw dropping at the sight before me.
The room was a chaotic mix of laboratory and boudoir. Shelves crammed with books and magical artifacts lined the walls, while a large desk overflowed with scrolls, vials, and what looked suspiciously like a half-dissected magical creature. The air smelled faintly of incense and something sweet, like honey.
And then there was her.
Dr. Viviana Embers was...something else. Her auburn hair shimmered like molten fire as she turned to face us, and her golden eyes locked onto me with an intensity that made my skin prickle. She was wearing a mage robe that hugged her hourglass figure in all the right ways, the neckline plunging just enough to make it hard not to stare.
"Well, well," she purred, her lips curling into a wicked smile. "What do we have here?"
"Viviana," Eris said, her tone clipped. "This is Alec. He's—"
"Mine now," Viviana interrupted, stepping forward and ignoring Eris entirely.
"Excuse me?" I said, taking a step back as she approached.
"Oh, don't be shy," Viviana said, her voice dripping with amusement. "You're fascinating. I can feel it from here—the magic coursing through you. You're like...a puzzle I can't wait to solve."
"Viviana," Eris said again, more forcefully this time. "Focus."
Viviana sighed dramatically, finally turning to face Eris. "Fine, fine. What's the story with this one?"
"He's not from this world," Eris said. "I was hoping you could help him figure out how to get back."
Viviana's eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas morning. "Oh, this is delicious. A visitor from another world? And you brought him to me? Eris, you shouldn't have."
"Just do your job," Eris said, clearly unamused.
Viviana turned her attention back to me, her golden eyes raking over me in a way that made me feel both exposed and slightly terrified. "So, Alec," she said, her tone teasing. "Tell me about yourself. Any strange abilities? Unexplained phenomena? Or are you just a helpless little lamb in need of guidance?"
"I...uh..." I stammered, not sure how to respond to her overwhelming presence.
"He's normal," Eris said firmly. "At least for his world."
"Normal," Viviana repeated, her lips curling into a smirk. "We'll see about that."
She stepped closer, and I instinctively took a step back, bumping into Eris. "Relax," Viviana said, her voice low and almost hypnotic. "I won't bite. Not unless you ask nicely."
"Jesus Christ," I muttered under my breath.
Viviana let out a delighted laugh. "Oh, I like him. He's funny. And cute."
"Viviana," Eris said warningly.
"Alright, alright," Viviana said, holding up her hands in mock surrender. "I'll behave. For now."
She turned and gestured toward a large chair that looked like a cross between a throne and a torture device. "Sit there, Alec. Let's see what we're working with."
I glanced at Eris, who nodded, her expression unreadable. Reluctantly, I walked over and sat down, the chair surprisingly comfortable despite its intimidating appearance.
Viviana pulled a glowing orb from one of the cluttered shelves, holding it up to her face with a look of fascination. "This will just take a moment," she said, placing the orb in front of me.
The orb began to glow brighter, and I felt a strange warmth spreading through my body. Viviana's eyes narrowed, her playful demeanor giving way to something more serious.
"Interesting," she murmured, her fingers hovering over the orb. "Very interesting."
"What? What's interesting?" I asked, suddenly nervous.
She didn't answer right away, her focus entirely on the orb. Finally, she stepped back, her mischievous smile returning. "Oh, Alec, you're going to be so much fun."
"That doesn't sound reassuring," I said, glancing at Eris.
Viviana chuckled, placing the orb back on the shelf. "Relax. You're perfectly safe...for now."
"For now?" I repeated, my voice rising slightly.
Eris sighed, crossing her arms. "Is he going to be a problem?"
"Not a problem," Viviana said with a wink. "A project."
I groaned, burying my face in my hands. "Great. Just what I always wanted to be."
Viviana's laughter echoed through the room, and for the first time, I realized just how chaotic my life had become.
Q: What do you think of Harry Potter?
