JOJO: Madness of Multiverse

Chapter 120: Chapter 121: Grudges Should Be Avenged on the Spot

"Still not used to fighting, huh, and also can't control that kagune properly."

After Amon rendered Fueguchi Ryouko incapable of moving, Mado Kureo pushed Hinami in front of her and commented.

His face was gloomy, and in his eyes was a burning desire to vent.

"A mother giving up her life for her child, really is… heh… disgusting to the point of reflux!"

"You ghouls even want to imitate human behavior?"

He kicked Hinami in front of Ryouko, raised his quinque, and calmly said, "Amon-kun, there's nothing more for you to do here. What comes next is my work."

"Mama!" Hinami cried bitterly and threw herself into Ryouko's blood-drenched arms.

"Hi…nami…"

Her daughter hadn't escaped, Ryouko was already in despair. She still wanted to earn Hinami a sliver of survival, but by now, her body was completely out of her control.

"Hehehe… absolutely wonderful!"

The scene before him made Mado Kureo laugh strangely, the hand holding his quinque even trembled with excitement.

"Let's use this!"

He pressed a button, RC cells instantly released, and the quinque fully transformed.

Looking at the familiar kagune of her husband, Ryouko's eyes filled with terror, shaking her head desperately, her lips trembling, "No… don't… this… kind of thing… don't do it…"

Mado Kureo advanced step by step, Ryouko's trembling voice only made him more delighted.

He said with a sinister grin, "Using the kagune of a husband to kill his wife and daughter, nothing could be better than this!"

"Wonderful! Absolutely wonderful! Grief… despair… hatred… that's the expression I want!"

"Let me see more of it!"

Hinami clung tightly to her mother, shaking in horror, already curled into a ball. The person before her was more terrifying than a devil from hell!

"Hmm, really hard to decide." Mado Kureo paused, rubbing his chin.

"Should I kill the daughter in front of the mother first, or the mother in front of the daughter?"

Ryouko held Hinami and begged, "Kill me. Please let Hinami go, she doesn't know anything at all."

"Oh my, oh my," Mado exclaimed, "Still protecting your daughter at a time like this, truly a great mother."

But in the next second, his face turned gloomy as he cursed, "You damned sow's fake sentiment makes me sick to my stomach."

"I've decided! Killing the daughter in front of your eyes is far more fun!"

He raised his sharp quinque without hesitation, slashing directly toward Hinami's neck.

"No!"

Ryouko's pupils shrank instantly. Her exhausted body surged with strength again, suddenly shielding Hinami behind her.

"Stupid! Then the two of you can go down together!"

This sudden change did not make Mado Kureo stop, on his thin, shriveled face, a flush of red appeared, as if he could already see the beautiful scene of blood splashing through the air.

To make ghoul blood rain through the sky, there was nothing more beautiful than that.

However, today, he was destined not to witness that scene.

Mado Akira had heard the sound, and naturally, so had Jotaro.

Just as the quinque was about to strike the Fueguchi mother and daughter, a huge force bounced the quinque back.

Mado Kureo's face was full of shock, the enormous power flung him to the ground.

All the investigators at the scene shouted in alarm, "First-Class Kujo!"

"It's First-Class Kujo!"

"Why is he here?"

Mado Kureo got up and looked at Jotaro, who was now standing in front of the Fueguchi mother and daughter protecting them, and asked in confusion,

"Kujo-kun, what are you doing? Harboring ghouls is a crime!"

"Or is it that you want to personally handle these two ghouls? If that's the case, I can hand them over to you."

Jotaro stood tall in front of the mother and daughter, hands in his pockets, and said calmly, "I'm not interested in bullying the weak."

"In that case, could you please move aside? Personally, I quite enjoy bullying ghouls."

Mado Kureo walked forward slowly, intending to push Jotaro aside, but unexpectedly, his hand was suddenly grabbed by Jotaro.

"Yare yare… didn't think you had this kind of fetish."

Jotaro's light green eyes looked down at him solemnly.

"Sorry. I don't like bullying the weak, and I can't stand seeing others do it either."

"So you seriously intend to stop me?" Mado's gloomy smile faded, his expression now hostile.

"Not just you," Jotaro said casually.

"Anyone who ticks me off, I'll stop."

Amon stepped forward and asked in confusion, "First-Class Kujo, ghouls are our CCG's targets for elimination. Why are you blocking us?"

"I admit First-Class Mado's actions may be improper, but summary execution of ghouls is our right as investigators. You have no right to interfere!"

The other investigators also stepped up, surrounding Jotaro and the Fueguchi mother and daughter.

They felt no sympathy for ghouls, to them, Mado's brutality wasn't excessive at all.

Mado Akira arrived late, confused by the tense standoff.

"First-Class Kujo? And… father? First-Class Mado? What's going on here?"

Mado Kureo coldly said, "Akira, First-Class Kujo is harboring ghouls, he's violated regulations. Obstructing our arrest operation adds another crime."

"Before eliminating the Fueguchi mother and daughter, arrest First-Class Kujo!"

Mado Akira stood with her mouth open, muttering, "Why would First-Class Kujo…"

Before she could finish, Mado's subordinates were already charging at Jotaro.

Jotaro closed his eyes, although he bore no personal grudge against them, he had no choice but to fight.

Several screams rang out, the charging investigators were instantly sent flying.

Some crashed into the walls, others hit the ground hard, but without exception, they all lost consciousness.

Jotaro had made up his mind to take the Fueguchi mother and daughter away, no one could stop him.

"First-Class Kujo, I've always respected you! And aspired to become someone like you."

"Only by becoming strong like you can I protect the things that matter!"

Seeing his comrades injured, Amon gripped his quinque tightly, ready to strike.

"But!"

"Why are you protecting ghouls! Do you know how much of a disaster it is for others when ghouls are alive? Do you know how many people die to ghouls every single day?"

Amon gritted his teeth and charged at Jotaro, his large quinque slicing through the air like a tiger.

Jotaro looked at him silently. At this point, no reasoning would reach him. Sometimes, fists were the clearest logic.

"Ora!"

Amon came in fiercely, but Jotaro's one punch twisted half of his face, his eyes rolled back, and he crashed to the ground.

Every day, people die because of ghouls, but likewise, every day, ghouls also die because of humans. And even more creatures die because of both ghouls and humans.

In Jotaro's eyes, there was no essential difference between ghouls and humans. Both were life forms that survived by destroying other living beings.

Perhaps most beings in nature were like this.

Ghouls relied on physical advantages to prey on humans. Humans relied on manufactured tools to hunt ghouls.

Even if ghouls didn't exist, humans would never stop their cold-hearted hunts.

Jotaro didn't want to obsess over who was right or wrong. It was precisely because ghouls and humans were similar that they had a chance at coexistence.

Those blinded by hatred couldn't see that.

After Amon, Mado Kureo was also punched flying by Jotaro.

When bitten by a dog on the roadside, if you don't settle it with that dog on the spot, but instead from then on hate all dogs, blaming every dog for your pain…

That's just venting your own incompetence and hatred on innocent individuals. That's the kind of person Mado Kureo was.

After his wife was killed by the Owl, unable to take revenge, he could only unleash his grief on other ghouls.

"Yare yare… if you have a grudge, you should settle it on the spot, First-Class Mado…"

Jotaro pressed down his hat, thinking what a pitiful man he was.
