Jackal : The Goddess Of Death

Alice was back in the school gym. She was sitting down, taking notes in her journal. She was lifting weights. She started out with 5 tons, and now, she's currently at 13. She bends down to pick up the barbell, but then felt someone slap her on the butt.

Instinctively, she spin kicked whoever was behind her. She was confident it wasn't Yoshi, since he would never even consider touching her without her permission. And she was right. It wasn't Yoshi. It was a very familiar-looking minotaur keeper who blocked her kick and flew back several meters from it. The minotaur detransformed, and it was none other than Belle.

"Damn, girl, chill! I just wanted a slice of that fine cake."

"What are you doing Belle?" Alice said while getting into position and beginning her squats.

"Ok, well, I couldn't help but notice you were doing deadlifts through the window. And I knew what you did next. Them juicy squats."

"Wait, slow down. How do you know my routine?"

"I've begun to memorize everything you do when we work out. You work out 4 times a week. You have an arm day, a leg day, a core day, and an endurance day. On your arm day, you start with curls. Then you go to deadlifts, then squats with the barbell. Though, those aren't technically arm exercises?"

"If they include me lifting something 158 times my own weight with my hands, it counts. Anyways why are you here? You don't work out of these days? Don't you usually start making new clothes for your fashion YouTube channel?"

"Me and Yoshi are going on a mission."

"Oh, yeah. Yoshi did kiss me goodbye this morning. Why are you still here though?"

"I had to do my hair and nails before I left. Duh."

"Oh for the love of... just go already."

"Don't worry, I'll return him in one piece."

Even as Belle walked away, Alice couldn't help but smile once Belle's back got turned to her. Whether she wanted to admit it or not, she was growing very attached to Belle. Despite her annoying nature, she was a close friend who would do anything for Alice, and she knew it.

She kind of felt envious while watching Yoshi and Belle set off. Between them, there was a half-a-meter space as they walked. She wished she could go with them, but she wasn't assigned and Taiyo voted against her going.

After her full workout, Alice hit the showers and left the gymnasium. She soon smelled something suspicious in the air. It was an overwhelming presence of evil, unlike anything she ever smelt before. She followed the scent and eventually traced it to Pinoy's room. She kicked down the door, making Pinoy turn back in shock.

He was on 3 different computers at once while on 3 different social media. Two were being run by AI, while the middle was being run by him.

"G-Geez, can you knock next time?" Pinoy said while turning back to his computers.

"I smelled something really bad."

"I hadn't taken a shower in 14 days, so it's probably just that."

"No, you musky, dusty, crusty boy. I meant I smelled an anomaly."

"..."

"Are you hiding something?"

Alice's nails extended as she walled closer to Pinoy. He started sweating and turned around.

"I'm just doing some readings."

"Explain..."

Pinoy sighed. Reluctant, he pulled up a new tab on his third screen. On it showed a digital globe with a bunch of red spots all over it. It had many numbers and letters on it and was far too complicated for Alice to understand.

"Talk to me like I'm Helen Keller because don't understand any of it."

"These red dots are tracking down an anomaly I've been looking for for a while now."

"What anomaly?"

"Do you normally ask a lot of questions?"

"Answer the damn question."

"The Cyber Demon. All these red spots are where the cyber demon hunts. The spots also indicate what social media apps he was on."

Pinoy was just searching for the Cyber Demon. Now, Alice was even more confused. Why was someone as weak as him tracking down one of the Japan's biggest threats? Shouldn't he be focusing on anomalies around his level? Also, how did he get this information?

"Why are you looking up information on the Cyber Demon? Aren't they zenith class?"

"It's none of your business."

"Actually, it is-"

Suddenly, the two got a phone notification from Willow and headed to her office. During the trip there, Alice stared at Pinoy, but he never said a word to her on the whole trip. He wasn't the best at talking to people, and it showed. They stepped foot into Willow's office, which was still as empty as the day Alice arrived. She looked up at the two of them.

"Pinoy, Alice, I want you to take care of an anomaly in the countryside. It's been terrorizing the residents."

"What is the anomaly exactly?" asked Alice.

Willow turned her computer screen around and showed them a picture that was posted on social media by one of the citizens of the town.

"This is awful." Willow said. "The public cannot know about us. Thankfully, the Skyfall Dance organization has the full support of the government, not just in Japan, but in every country around the world. The post has already been deleted and the government is actively tracking down people who saw the post to wipe their memories..."

"Wait, why can't they know about us?"

"Because it would cause more harm than good if humans knew an organization like ours existed. This is an echo class anomaly. I'm sending Pinoy with you because this is his hometown."

Alice looked over to Pinoy, but he refused to look at her in the eye. It was almost like he was ashamed of his hometown. The two couldn't refuse it, since it was an order from the school principal, who was one of the higher up in Skyfall Dance. As the two were walking out, Alice felt herself being weighed down by gravity. It was the same power as Rose. At first, she got concerned that Rose found her. But in the next moment, she realized the one holding her down was Willow.

"Pinoy, leave, Alice stay. I have some questions for you."

Pinoy left without saying a word. Alice sighed and turned around. Willow got up and began to inspect her.

"Did you know Yoshi never told me you two were together? I only found out when I saw you two making out in the art room. I really don't know what he sees in you. Yoshi has never even shown me his face before. That was the first time in 5 years since I've seen his face."

"I wonder why..."

"What the fuck did you just say to me?"

"I said I wonder why. Considering how hostile you've been to me in our few interactions, I could only imagine why he wouldn't tell you he's dating that same girl. Really, it's a shocker."

Willow up the gravity and Alice was brought to her knees before Willow. Alice couldn't get up. The pressure was just too great.

"Understand me, you literal bitch. Yoshi is my younger brother. My father adopted him as an investment, not as a fetishization object for a hussy like yourself. Yoshi is a tool meant for war, not for a third-rate fleabag like yourself."
