Isekai: The Eight Soul Fragments

After the match of Draxus and Ulysses, most of the members had already finished preparing. Draxus was still unconscious while being attended by Collin and Jacquinn. Oswald who saw how the battle unfolded had completely changed his perspective of Serkyrio's group. He asked a few questions to Serkyrio himself about the abilities. Serkyrio gave simple explanations to him as to why Draxus is able to pull off something like that. Ulysses however was clearly convinced that he lost the battle, there was no bad feelings but he clearly couldn't accept that it was a draw. Serkyrio, who knew exactly what was Draxus's intention, gave him a vague explanation without revealing it completely. The two ladies were interrogating Remuel and Arlesk. Remuel had a look of despair while Arlesk was grinning. Arlesk answered the questions that was given by Olivia and Celestine vaguely while adding [50 silver] and coughing in every sentence while glancing at Remuel. Because of that, Remuel's mind was pretty much down for quite a while.

About an hour after the mock battle finished, every single person in the mountain peak had already finished preparing. Begona, who they appointed as representative, came to report to them of their finished preparation. Draxus had woken up a little earlier and was given a training regime of hell by Serkyrio. "Geh! Aren't all of these meditations stances to improve magic capacity?!" Serkyrio simply responded in a calm tone while reprimanding Draxus. "It's your fault for passing out from overuse anyways, so you gotta start scaling up." Draxus frowned from the painful words that came out of Serkyrio's mouth. However, it doesn't end there since Serkyrio followed up a bit more. "Besides, we won't be doing much physical training when inside the carriages right?" Needless to say, Draxus, along with Remuel, had deadfish eyes until nighttime.

After finishing preparations, the two ladies started talking with Ulysses regarding his condition. Despite being a seasoned warrior, he had nice features on his appearance. Which is why Celestine tends to talk to Ulysses about the safety. Remuel and Draxus simply played chess to pass the time. Once it hit nighttime, they decided to camp on the place for the time being. The armored infantry took turns sleeping to guard the people around.

Serkyrio was sparring against Remuel, Arlesk stood as their referee while Ulysses and Oswald watched them. Draxus was sharing information regarding magic to the two ladies. They were talking about his hysterical laughter during the match which Draxus tried to avoid in panic. However, due to persistence, Draxus simply gave up and explained it bit by bit for Olivia and Celestine to understand. That explanation included his insanity once a certain music plays in his headset. It was a difficult thing to explain but the two ladies simply listened attentively. They gave a conclusion that it was a magic that only Draxus can use. Which is not entirely correct since others or the [People of Earth] also know how to play music through their earphones or such. After the attempt of explaining, Olivia was curious on Draxus's method of training. Having such power against her country's hero who went all out in the mock battle.

Draxus asked permission from Serkyrio after his sparring session with Remuel. He readily gave the permission to display his style of training. Draxus went around in an open area with Olivia, Celestine, and Ulysses who was interested as well to watch his standard training regime. Serkyrio came with them for the explanations.

"First thing is that, Draxus concentrates heavily in his mind to fully control the magic. He uses imagination and mana to create the object he desires. I never seen him use other kinds of elements so far aside from ice and wind, which he is specialized, electricity and earth which he's not the most proficient." Draxus was letting out a huge aura while making extremely smooth movements as if driving a sword around. A crystal sword materialized on his hand, which he swayed around gently before making rough movements. During those movements, multiple ice spikes come from different directions and landed on the spot in front of Draxus, as if aiming for and enemy in front of him. Suddenly, a pillar of ice was summoned from below and multiple ice spikes rose up from the ground as if jousting something in front of Draxus. "By the way, take a closer look on where he aims." Ulysses who noticed that realized the amount of dangers he was in during the mock battle. "A-All of it aimed at the joins and the neck huh...?" Olivia and Celestine who heard the mutter of Ulysses shuddered a little bit. Serkyrio who noticed them being shaken smile and gave them the explanation. "Most of his attacks will aim at the limbs to prevent certain movements. And once he locks an enemy, he mercilessly ends them in the throat." The three looked at Serkyrio who was watching Draxus. "When you push him to a corner, or threaten his friends, it won't end well. He will become extremely dangerous once somebody talks to him about his friends." Olivia who didn't understand the explanation at first, asked Serkyrio about the details. "Let's see, something like a close friend of his being taken away by some person? Or somebody planning to hurt his friends like that. In our world, he'd trash the person's face immediately. But in this world, I do not know what might happen but it could be amusing." Olivia sent a scornful gaze to Serkyrio while giving out an internal retort. Draxus's training continued on with high speeds of constantly summoning pillars and spikes and changing weapons. Ulysses wished for a rematch in the future which was accepted by Draxus immediately. After the training, most of the members had gone to sleep since it was midnight already. Celestine was sleeping back in the luxurious carriage while Olivia was talking to Draxus about his daily activities. He didn't really have a lot to share but both of them somewhat had quite some fun talking to each other. The topic somewhat shifted to Draxus's glowing eyes which Olivia was curious whether it's done by magic. Remuel who was wandering around saw Draxus smiling calmly while talking to Olivia. His instincts immediately moved to his smartphone. While chuckling a little, he took a picture of the two of them smiling as they talked. "Kukuku~... We have a nice topic for our tea discussion tomorrow~..." He immediately went to bed as he grinned at the two.

Olivia lied down on the grass and ended up sleeping there, the only one around was Draxus who noticed her falling asleep. "Shoot... Should I carry her to her carriage...?" He muttered to himself while thinking about what to do. In the end, Draxus took his bag and laid Olivia's head over it, giving her a soft pillow. "She's gonna be cold out here..." Draxus took off his jacket and laid it over Olivia. After ensuring that the princess won't get a cold. He used some fire magic to light up the campfire nearby and brewed some hot chocolate. When he looked around, there are some infantry men patrolling here and there. Those who passed by the campfire to warm up greeted Draxus casually. That was then he realized that the people of Quisterion aren't that bad. There may be some nobles that will pose trouble but he no longer had the stereotype on his mind. All of the members aside from Draxus and the patrolling infantrymen that are taking shifts are asleep. Draxus simply watched the moon as many thoughts of darkness came throughout the night.

The next day, not many people were awake yet. But Serkyrio, Arlesk, Remuel and Draxus were drinking tea very early. The sun just rose up but they were simply discussing various things like their plans for the future. "So you three, after the audience with the king, you guys are free to go around your ways and explore for the time being." Draxus immediately thought up of a question as to how long he should explore. "Timeframe?" Serkyrio, who received the question pondered for a bit while thinking up of a gameplan. "Let's say two months, we agree to meet on some place. Details of the location will be discussed on through phone conference." The three looked at each other and immediately agreed. "Great, now make sure that you guys don't neglect your training. Draxus didn't seem to sleep here and trained until I woke up. He played some Genshin on his laptop after I told him that you could charge your stuff with electric magic." Serkyrio looked at Draxus with eyes that are pressuring him to rest.

"Ah! Speaking of last night Serkyrio, I found something interesting." Remuel made a gesture as if highlighting the word interesting with quotation marks. Draxus and Arlesk also got interested as Remuel took out his phone. Afterwards, Remuel was grinning while manipulating his phone as if looking for some picture. When he showed the picture to the three of them, Draxus instantly choked on his tea. He set down his cup on the table and tried to take away Remuel's phone. "Oiiii!!!!!! That's not what it looks like!" Remuel was grinning widely as he distanced his phone from Draxus's hands. Serkyrio and Arlesk simply laughed at the reaction of Draxus being shown a picture of him enjoying his time with Olivia. The picture showed Olivia's hand brushing up the front hair of Draxus while they stare at each other's eyes.

"W-Well, you see! I see her as like a younger sibling! Because I had no younger siblings at home!" Draxus tried to make excuses but it was barely possible to even make one as Arlesk realized something. "By the way Drax, where's your jacket?" At that point, Draxus had realized that he left his jacket being laid over Olivia who is still sleeping soundly. Serkyrio made a proposal to the three while laughing a little bit. "Say, let's borrow Danielle's mahjong set so we can discuss this thoroughly." Remuel instantly accepted that proposal with a wide grin. "Great idea! We can then finally think of a ship name for our amusement!" Draxus who felt ashamed reflexively spoke Japanese towards Remuel. 'Shine! Remuel!"
