Isekai: The Eight Soul Fragments

Chapter 240: Harold's Power

Draxus and Remuel went towards the Game Zone of the Entertainment District of Preeliance. They were playing a game of chess in a corner while talking about what their experience was on Harold's Simulated Universe.

"What did you see in that world...?" Draxus brought up the question first, but just before Remuel answered, Arlesk sat down on a chair at the side of the board. "So both of you are here?" "Well doesn't look like you had a great experience either Arlesk." "Yeah, it was definitely the worst experience. Harold having that much power, I wonder if he just decided to surpass us three..." "Do you think he has more power than Serkyrio now?" Remuel raised the question, considering what Remuel had faced inside the Simulated Universe. "Possibly, but it's still doubtful, unless they actually duel."

Silence came for a few moments, each one of them were in depth thinking about how bottomless Harold's power had become. "I heard that he could hold the Simulated Universe for a full minute on his own currently. Time inside that universe is greatly stretched, so if a person gets trapped there, they would have to survive about twelve minutes... Against some indescribable eldritch horror..." "So what did you both get?" Draxus finally brought it up again, wanting to know what they've been forced to fight against. "I got SCP-682..." "So you got one of the most terrifying ones huh...?" "You're read through the SCP stuff as well?" "Not much, but I do know you can never kill that thing at all..." Draxus felt somewhat empathetic, listening to Arlesk on what he had to fight against. "What about you Remuel?" "Scarlet King..." Both Draxus and Arlesk dropped their heads in the instant they heard what Remuel had to face. "I was wondering why you returned so fast... That explains things..." Now it was Arlesk who felt empathetic along with Draxus. They wanted to think what kind of power Harold has to be able to summon perfect copies of such beings. "What about you Drax?" "Me...? Ahahaha... I want to beat up Harold for sending The Weaver of all beings against me..." "Uwah... That's just pure trauma..." The two understood that Draxus had a certain fear of spiders. It was mostly because they have seen spiders that appeared around the castle on the floor that was burnt to a crisp. "Your natural warding doesn't work against something like that huh...?" "Y-You think...? An eldritch horror that's basically beyond my current capabilities be affected by something as weak as natural warding against spiders?" "Can we even count The Weaver as an eldritch horror?" "It is! To me at least!" Draxus raised his voice as he complained about what enemy he was forced to fight against.

The three continued to discuss about Harold's power while making some complaints here and there. Eventually the topic reached to the point where they want to confirm that only the orders have seen their states. "None of our fiancés have seen us like that right?" Remuel raised the question first, concerned with his unsightly appearance after the brutal training. "Don't worry, as long as you never told them about mine, I will never tell them about what happened to you. Deal?" The three reached a quick agreement to never tell the fiancés on what happened to each other. The agreement was done so quickly that they hoped that Harold and Serkyrio won't tell anybody. "I doubt they would do something like fan up anxiety to the ladies... However, our Orders may be in a different spot Drax..." "You're right, I better call them up after their sessions." As the three archons finished their complaints, the group went their separate ways after completing the chess game between Draxus and Remuel which ended in Draxus's victory.

Back in the simulation room, after the called up members have been tested within the day. Harold looked back and noticed that half of the containers have been emptied. "How much capacity did you gain from channeling all that?" Serkyrio brought up the tests and asked how much data was collected. "I can now hold a Simulated Universe for at the very least, five minutes from full capacity... And up to five for one minute." "Good, we're getting much closer now. You need to completely reach greater limits on your capabilities." "Your plan, or orchestration... Are you sure it'll be the correct choice?" "Yes, everything here is setup to ensure the survival of all worlds and universes." "Alright, I'll keep raising my limits. Refilling all of these would be pretty easy now." "Since you used up only half, we can go for another session tomorrow, this time we can tone down their opponents. Sending them SCP and World of Darkness opponents is entertaining and all, but we don't want them to be traumatized due to training. I'll DM you the selection later." "Got it, I'll continue doing some test runs on this later." Serkyrio then left while Harold checked around on the panel, fiddling a bit more thinking about what to do.

"I should turn this into my main staff soon... If I plan to use [Simulation Magic] more, I need to get to the point where I can guarantee enemy deaths using Simulation... I guess for tomorrow I'm going to try group simulations..." He muttered to himself on what kind of plans he had to practice his original magic.

Serkyrio returned to his office, none of the secretaries are currently around as they were out on a vacation back in Earth. "Now that Harold's power has been reawakened, let's get the full awakenings for the rest of the group." Serkyrio opened a cabinet on his table, bringing out a notebook with a checklist. He examined the names and titles of each member and crossing out a certain section. "Harold Cynfael, [Simulated God of Universes]... Is now awake, next one will be, Jacquinn Naeva, [Universal Overseer]..." Serkyrio closed the notebook and returned it on the cabinet before locking it.
