This world wasn't just what was visible to the eyes. In the founding story of Οριο, it is mentioned that once the whole world was full of mana and people could channel their mana in different directions to make miracles. 

However, as the saying goes nothing good comes without a cost. The monsters that invaded Earth were just as powerful and vicious as the people residing in it. It is unknown how and when the monsters come to exist. Some tales say that they come travelling from another planet, while others say that they were here from the beginning and we are the intruders.

 Old sayings say that even though the monsters existed, there was a balance. Sometimes the monsters were hunted and other times people were trapped.

 According to those sayings, monsters were commonly believed to be God's punishment upon those who accumulated evil deeds. 

Were it people all going evil or other causes

Balance was broken.

The day that this happened is widely known as the Arrival Of Hell or simply as people refer to it that day. This incident is similar to what technology people call WORLD WARS but just on a much larger scale. Between creatures from two worlds, actual worlds.

History records show that until that day ended, the population on earth dropped to one hundredth, and of that, remaining 1%, only 1% had their mana and memories intact. 

In the records that day is portrayed as such:

" Earth becomes hell, the devil had arrived."

Very unclear! All of the ancient recordings in her grandfather's grandiose library were like that. It is well-known that his library is even more complete than the one in the Academy of Mana, the largest academy in Οριο. Nothing out of the ordinary for he is the wolf king.

 The system hadn't changed, he would be the current ruler. Around, three or four decades ago, when the throne was to be passed to her grandfather(marital*) who is the eldest child of the late empress, he withdrew.

 Rumors say that it wasn't simply a withdrawal but as the peaceful times had come, people didn't need the leadership from the extraordinarily powerful royal wolfs which is why royalty was cast into the corner..

 All the same, monsters were SOMEHOW lured and trapped into where now are the lands of Οριο.

If you ask her opinion, they just found their lair and took credit. If they had that kind of power, why didn't they just cease the monsters from existence?

Lands of Οριο is located where dummies call bermudatriangel. Of course Οριο is no magnetic hole. That is a barrier and is very much excitable as well as enter able. The barrier is there prevent monsters from entering dummies fragile world, is written in the history. 

But where in this story is she you ask? Nowhere and everywhere.

Heiress to Glacies!

Glacies. One of the most prestigious and ancient families in the whole ancient lands of Οριο. A family full of powerful individuals. Genius merchants who are the invisible hands behind most of the Οριοs economy, and wickedly smart politicians with ears and hands in all of Οριο. The guardian angels of the norther borders of Οριο. Those with elfin blood. Known by their silver hair, aquamarine cold pupils and the power of water and ice. 

 A family with a faulty heir. A time limited heiress. A heiress that is good at making money and being pretty. A too powerful heir for her own good.

Owning power that is killing her painfully and slowly. Someone born with a broken body. The one who doesn't want to die and yet choose to fall in waters no one has ever survived. 

 Also, someone cursed to have a long dream. A painful dream full of health, a dream where she could feel her long longed pain. A dream where she was so healthy she could make plans for living in a forest and reading books for entertainment and not for the sake of finding a cure.

A dream that held her alive and killed her by suddenly ending.
