Introverts Lifeguide in Apocalypse

Chapter 22: Shopping for an apocalypse!

[How long are these many going to last? {Toilet paper pic!}]

Sent! Done!

Ding!

Ding!

It was Lucas's and Dylan's phones. Both turned on their phones and, after a few moments, looked at me. Both had tired eyes.

"Did you have to show people how you bought a dozen toilet paper rolls?"

"Sis.., isn't it tacky?"

I send them death glares. What do they know? Is it their head that feels like exploding if they don't alarm people, or is it her head? She's the cursed one! Not them.

Even if I know, these illusions and feelings are just what they are and nothing more. I still have to make some effort to relay it to people, even if only on the internet. It lessens the guilt.

" Why did you two even follow me? It's uncomfortable, unfollow me! "

"But Sis, do we need this many things?"

As if awaiting someone to start about it, Lucas exploded.

"Are you going to open a restaurant there? You can be honest with us! You know what? Just tell me you are, or else I will be worried about your sanity!"

Dylan's and Lucas's questions were also mine. I don't understand why I did it either. This damned curse has messed up my brain...

When we went grocery shopping, I went crazy and bought enough food for at least three years. For example, I bought 100 bags of rice, each 10 kg, spaghetti, and pasta, 50 cartoons each, 10 packs of chips, and 10 packs of doodles, each with 20 large bags, and 100 packs of toilet paper each containing 96 rolls. In conclusion, I had bought everything you could find in a restaurant and more as if preparing for an apocalypse.

After grocery shopping, it was time for electronics. What happened there wasn't unexpected. I needed enough refrigerators, and there were also the articles on Lucas's list and the list I had made after Grandfather's call. I didn't forget to buy many solar cells. Just in case, I also bought water cells. At this rate, both of the men were speechless. Probably imagining how much of a countryside is the countryside we are talking about...

Then we visited a few more shops. We bought outfits for all weather, gardening equipment, seeds, seedlings, musical instruments, reparation equipment, reparation material, and locks.

Lastly, we went to load my things. I had thrown away most of the old pieces of equipment. There was just my gaming room equipment, books, and culinary equipment.

Just when we were done with loading; I got a message that my delivery had arrived. I had long forgotten about those. My living plan before all these happenings. The purchases that had cost me all my savings. Under the suspicious eyes of my passengers, I loaded the various-sized packaging of my deliveries.

And now, we are on our way to a farmer's garden I contacted earlier. We are going to buy live stocks, eggs, and fresh meat. On the road, we stopped by a restaurant. Was it hunger or the taste? All of us devoured our food to the last bite. The tender lamb kebab just melted away in my mouth.

Getting out of the car, the smell of livestock filled my nose. It wasn't bad, just enough to make me wanna throw up my meal. Looking at the boys stretching next to me, I distanced myself. Who knows if the one eating a family carbonara or eating eight double-padding hamburgers is about to throw up?

They both looked okay. Unlike my expectations, even Dylan, who had patiently sat in the car, was still lively. Why isn't his manager coming after him?

"Hey, the shame of all celebrities! Did your agency fire you? Why isn't your manager coming after you?"

Dylan looked at me with an evil smile. One of those smiles your siblings give you when they have won something over you!

"I said I'm coming with you~~ I got three months' worth of vacation! Displaying pity publically. The agency won't even dare come near me during these months! I'm a genius!! Isn't it praiseworthy?" he said in a pleased tone. Such a narcist!

I was in awe because of his shamelessness that someone said my thoughts out loud.

"Such a narcist! Shouldn't you be ashamed of using people?"

Luca's words made Dylan frown.

"Sis, why don't you send him to his parents?"

Why is he always so thoughtless?

"Dylan!" I said with warning.

Lucas looked into his furious eyes. Calmly.

"Cause they are dead!"

Dylan looked at me with guilt. I looked at him coldly. Get what you deserve! Feel it a bit more.

Taking my eyes from him, I looked at my phone. 18:00.

"Let's go. We have to depart before it becomes dark."

I opened the fence door. A middle-aged man was next to one of those big red buildings.

"Hello! Mr. Tim? I am Dawn!"

"Oh yeah, the one, buyer." Said the man with a unique accent. A pronunciation you hear in James Bond movies.

"This way!"

The man showed us chickens, chicks, ducks, ducklings, ships, and cows.

Dylan and Lucas were jumping up and down around the chicks and ducklings, praising their cuteness. I let them choose around twenty. The chicks and ducklings were quite different. Unlike the yellow ones in animation, they were different colors and patterns. Cute and organic. Thinking about grilling them made my mouth water.

'Will they be fine? We are going to eat them when they grow, anyway!' I thought, troubled by thinking of their future tantrums.

"Should I put food and water inside their fences? " asked the farmer.

"Yes, thank you!"

Lucas, patting one of the small ducklings, came closer.

"What about their housing? We will need one of those small houses and food plates too!"

'He is insightful. Unlike someone...' I thought as I looked at him and then at Dylan, who seemed to have bonded with a light brown cow. Alike!

"Mr. Tim, do you have anything we can buy? And could we get food for them, too?" I asked.

"Sure! However, the house has to be made on the spot. How much food would you like?"

"Enough for two seasons?" I said in an unsure tone.

"Got it! Anything else?"

"I also want fresh lamb meat, like three whole lambs. 10 cartoons of eggs, 10 chickens that lay eggs, and that cow if possible!" I pointed at the light brown cow.

Dylan's ears perked up!

"Sis, you can't do this to her!!"

Confused, I looked at him! I thought he would like the idea.

"Look at the baby cow. We should bring him too!"

Lucas also added to his demand.

"We need a rooster too. The chickens might become depressed!"

Thankfully, the trailer has a ventilation system, but I wonder if the almost full trailer could place them inside.

"You rascals! Who is even going to take care of them?"

Lucas's eyes shined with determination.

"I will take care of the chickens! Just get the rooster too!"

Seeing this, Dylan felt his ego might get hurt.

"I, too, will take care of Mona Lisa and Moron!"

Expecting them to give up after a few days, I stared at them with suspicious eyes.

"I am taking you accountable for your words!"

Like that, the trailer became as full as possible and we started our journey towards the Villa.
