SWNOVELXO Chapter 6: Planning the First Fleet
" Our Empire need more resources to grow stronger. So one planet is not enough, we must colonize more planets and first secure our home system. In order to achieve this, I have decided to formed the First Fleet. This fleet will serve as my personal fleet and wil only obey my order. "
Hearing this, my Staffs relaxed a bit, relief that the new fleet was my personal one and did not increase the competition too much.
" I agree with your thoughts your majesty. " Rudolf bowed as he handed me a chip. He continues " Your majesty, this chip contain the map of our home system. Even though we have not focus in space the last century we have at least made a detailed map of the home system. But your majesty I suggest that you name the home system first. "
" Naming can wait, but we must form a fleet as soon as possible. This matter will be left to you Sarah. " I said while looking at her.
" Your command is my wish, your majesty. "
I nodded, then continue " The fleet configuration must be focus on the offensive and must have a strong firepower. So, I want 5 battleships, 20 cruisers, 50 destroyers and finally a dreadnought to use as my flagship. "
" Moreover as my flagship, the dreadnought must have thick armour and also a shield generator. I'm going to use it to mainly command and I don't want to get killed during battles. How long will it take to build a fleet of such scale, Sarah? "
" The shortest I can do is 3 years your majesty. " She replied.
" Stay, a little bit long can you build the fleet in 2 years? "
" That... It'll be a bit difficult but I think I can do it. " Sarah said reluctantly.

" Alright, my plan is to have as least 5 fleets by the end of the decade. So we will be in a rush. The first priority is to colonize the Red barren world and transform it to a habitable world. I believe that by the end of the century we will be able to control the whole system effectively. And the final step is to set up mining outposts in asteroids belt to mine resources. These steps are essential for the development of our Empire. And remember the dream of the Empire is to rule the galaxy not a small system. " I told them my plan and ordered them to make necessary preparations. Then they bowed and leave the meeting room.
After they left I begin to think about the events in my Empire. The slaves are rebelling and it seems that there is a big hand behind them. After all they have not rebelled for many years. But it seem that they are just a tool and the real target should be me especially my throne. And I feel that things are about to get out of control so I need to thoroughly beat them to the point that they never thought of eyeing my throne again.
