Family is overrated
Ouroboros Omniscia, or the Imprisoned Arsenal, is... how should I say this? A God Slayer made by the Italian fascist.
Well, only the mechanism came from the Italian, the frame is composed of two different Reclics and a God Slayer.
Pandora's Box, for its seemingly infinite storage space. And Sisyphus' Bedframe, the thing that trapped Thanatos, the Personification of Death.
Together, Ouroboros Omniscia was created. Inside this coffin is a myriad of weapons, not just missile launchers, spears, or laser guns.
From my testing... there is also chainswords, chains, guns, speakers, and all sort of things unrelated to combat.
And of course, the intimidation factor.
Sitting opposite Mitsuki, who is brewing tea for me for a ceremony. I can feel her tensing up, occasionally taking glances at me to view my expression.
She is unstable, this isn't the cheerful girl I came to know.
"So, what brings your mood down so much?", I asked her, changing my sitting position since this seiza pose is inconvenient for me, crossing my legs while leaning against the coffin.
"Well...", a sad smile replaced her face, "It's a problem with my family... I can't talk about it, since it's a private matter—"
"You know what type of person I am.", I cut her off, glaring at her intensely with my azure gaze.
"I don't care about culture, I don't care about traditions. Let me give you a piece of my mind. Those concepts are nothing but chains created by older generations, ghosts of the past keeping us from breaking free. I dislike them, I never respected them. I know what you are going through is a ceremony of sorts, a blood sacrifice to your deranged great-grandmother—"
Hmm, she drew her sword and pressed it against my throat, but the edge was dull. Mitsuki didn't want to hurt me.
"STOP! YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO KNOW IT!!", she screamed out, clearly unstable. Her eyes are shaking.
"Why did you call me for help if you don't want my support in the first place?", I grabbed the blade and shattered it, keeping myself calm.
"I... I don't know what came of me—", she quickly sheathed her sword, breathing out cold breath of air haphazardly, "I... I just wanted some— some advice... your mother, The General... I wanted to know how you deal with your family..."
I closed my eyes and sighed.
"Frankly, I don't have a very good relationship with Abigail. I rarely call her my mother for that matter. We are... more friend than family.", I still view her as my guardian... but the fact that she mingled with Sinclair made me feel kinda disgusted.
And with Deliah too... she ghosted me for a while now, but I'm not that disappointed. I am a sociopath, someone who can feel little emotions, so I seek them. She is a psychopath, someone who feels no emotion, and deceives people with her masks.
We don't get along that well.
Oh, on the topic of family... Enna might as well be my bulliable sister.
So yeah, family advice is something I cannot give.
"I can't help you with family problems. But stopping a skinwalker is fine."
"Can you... actually kill her? She doesn't even have a real body...", Mitsuki was being skeptically.
She should be, since from her perspective I must've pulled that line out of my ass. Well, I just read books, which is inside of me.
"I know a lot of things, like your entire history from birth to today.", not sure about the future though, at some point in the near future, the rest of her book was blacked out.
Definitely not foreshadowing anything, no.
Oh hey! The light bulb above my head gave Mitsuki four shadows, neat.
"That's a bit creepy.", Mitsuki looked down and gave it thought, then she stared at me with curiosity, "Are you telling the truth?"
"Okita Mitsuki, daughter of Okita Yoriko and Fujiwara Takeru, was born on December 17th, 2002, on a strange snowy night. At the age of three, you held your sword for the first time, the same one you are using now. You receive training to become a Demon Slayer at the age of six under a man named Sasaki Iori. Your favorite food is ramen with extra spice, and have a general dislike towards cold deserts—"
"Okay! Okay! That's enough! You know a lot, I get it... so you know 'that' too, right?"
If she's talking about how her great-grandmother murdered Mitsuki's mom due to the incompatibility, then yes. I nodded.
"That's way too personal, Charlotte.", she frowned. I guess she doesn't appreciate me reading her entire history in the form of a book, I don't care.
"The only boundary I respect is my own.", I stated proudly.
"That isn't something you should be proud of!", Mitsuki exclaimed, "And it's rude for you to be prying on private information! For the gods' sake, please be more sensitive!"
"But I'm an Atheist.", none of that god stuff will work on me.
"That isn't the point!! The point is you can't just look into my past!! If someone were to look into your past without you knowing, what would you?!"
"Break their spine and leave them in a vegetable state.", that is the only reasonable response.
"O-Okay", she was taken aback, "that's extremely violent but you get the point!! Would you like to be at the receiving end of your wrath?"
Well, I get what she's going for. But I like to be stubborn and dense.
"Then do you want to beat me up?", I asked.
"Yes— no— ARRGGH!!", she held her face, looking frustrated, "I don't want to fight you— but I do! You are good at everything!! Except for being nice!"
I giggled, "Well, I'm always ready for a challenge."
I stood up, stretching a bit.
"I want to test out this God Slayer a little more if you don't mind."
"Another one?! Don't you have, like, two already?!", she was surprised.
I nodded, "Four, counting this coffin.", I pointed at Ouroboros Omniscia.
"That's overkill.", I saw her smile, she was edging to go and fight me, to test herself against a weapon made by the evil of humanity.
Then the door slid open, and Klara walked in with heavy bags under her eyes.
"I don't allow fighting inside the temple!", she threw a piece of paper towards Mitsuki, "Here! An investigation request!! You two talk it out while hunting for the ghost!"
And she closed the door.
"I NEED REST!! STUPID BIRDS!!", I heard her screaming as she got further and further away.
"Do you have any ghost-hunting equipment?", Mitsuki asked me.
I snapped my finger, "Section 11: Occultic."
The coffin behind me opened up the sides, revealing various Talismans and spirit-related weaponry.
"Section 12: Holy."
The coffin closed and the sides opened again, revealing all sorts of marble white weapons, holy weapons.
"Damn, how many weapons can that coffin fit?"
"An amount so large calling it infinite wouldn't be so much of a stretch.", I confidently proclaimed.
"Damn... how did you get your hands on that?", Mitsuki went around me to check Ouroboros Omniscia out.
Then she snapped away, hearing the seductive whispers coming from the coffin.
"WHAT WAS THAT?!", she screamed, putting her guard up.
"You just heard the voice of the coffin, I talked about it before, all God Slayers have their voices."
"Don't you ever go insane from hearing the voices?", she furrowed her brows.
"I just filter them out.", that's how I avoid the annoying factor. However...
It is true that I can use all God Slayers, but there is a major problem. I can use them doesn't mean they accept me fully as their master.
Except for Fallen Starlight, whose malice for the divine matches mine, none of my other God Slayers can show their true potential.
Like with Ars Goetia, the emotion that I need is hatred and anger. I don't plan on becoming a berserker soon. But I could summon the Demons of Ars Goetia if I went all the way.
But no, I don't plan on changing my method of fighting. Unlike a certain Solo Leveler.
I stood up and picked Ouroboros Omniscia up, a light tug made it close.
"Let's get going, I want to see how this Demon Slayer business operates."
=0=0=
"...so the Michael Jackson-looking Demon was the reason for the unification of all Demon Slayer Organizations across Japan, forming the Demon Slayer Union."
Mitsuki went on to explain the history of the Demon Slayer Union as we made our way to the haunted house.
It's always fun letting someone geeking out their knowledge as if I don't already know everything.
Anyway, she looted Klara's Talisman stash and healed herself right up. From the way she dived in, it wasn't the first time she had gone through the Miko's stuff. So she is fine, only a little bit traumatized by Avalon.
"Ah! Charlotte, I have been meaning to ask!", she turned towards me, "Why are you wearing a haori?"
"Because I stand out too much.", I stated.
She just gives me a blank stare, then she looks at the coffin I'm carrying.
"I thought you like standing out?", she asked.
"Yes, I do. Me changing outfit didn't change anything, so I am always in the spotlight. Nothing can rob the spotlight from me.", well, except for Sinclair. She is me so does that count?
"Anyway!! We are here!", she changed the topic real quick.
We are standing right in front of a house... yeah, it's haunted alright. Like, It is suspiciously darker than any other house in the area, as if there is a veil over the entire house.
"Hm...", I tapped the coffin, "Section 9: Research."
Both sides opened up, revealing various research tools displayed. I took out the Geiger Counter, which was already beeping quite a bit due to the radiation in the air.
Then I yeeted the Geiger Counter into the house, beyond the gates.
BeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeepBeep
The Counter went crazy.
"Uhhh... is it broken?", Mitsuki looks at the house with concern.
"The more it beeps, the more radiation is present, or something", I explained to her, "And there is a lot of it here."
"Is it safe to enter?", she warily asked.
"If we spend, like, less than an hour in there we will be safe."
"Okay! An hour time limit— wait, do we have to throw away our clothes?"
I nodded, while I retracted the Geiger Counter using the connected wire, "So either we go in there and get rid of our clothes... or..."
I pressed the first button, closing the coffin and opening the sides again, revealing the missile launchers.
"WE BLOW THIS SHIT UP!!"
