Infinite System Inheritor Return From The Abyss

Chapter 377: It's one versus four

The wind around them suddenly changed.

Skywing, the falcon that had fallen limp just moments ago, began to glow—not with pain, but with power. Its feathers shimmered with green light, its outline crackled with electricity. Slowly, it floated upward, wings spread wide, glowing brighter and brighter, and then its eyes opened, glowing with a fierce green spark.

Electricity started snapping in the air—tiny bolts dancing across the ground and walls like the whole world was waking up with power.

The insect creature paused, its claws just pressing into Minseok's chest. It turned with a sneer. "Now what? Still trying, huh?"

It stepped harder onto Minseok's chest.

But before it could do more—

Skywing dived.

From above, the falcon became a streak of light, a bolt of green lightning screaming down through the crackling air.

And then—

Straight into the insect's chest.

Then it vanished—disappearing right after the impact.

The creature froze for a moment, then blinked, confused.

"…What was that?!" it shouted, brushing at its chest.

"Hah! Was that your final move?! Some bird tickle?! Hahaha! I felt nothing! Nothing!"

It laughed loud, proud—until something changed.

A soft thump behind it.

The sound of someone falling.

The monster froze.

Slowly, it turned its head.

And there she was.

Hannah.

Not stuck inside. Not buried in its back. But now lying on the floor—breathing. Eyes open.

The creature's eyes widened, completely shocked.

"No… how? That's not possible. I didn't feel her leave—I didn't—"

Its body twitched.

Something inside it shook.

Hannah sat up slowly, her face pale, her body trembling. But her eyes—they were awake.

"I'm done hiding," she whispered.

The creature gritted its teeth. "You… you're nothing without me—"

"I was never with you," Hannah said, her voice growing steady. "You used my pain. My fear. My memories. You tried to drown me in them."

The monster roared. "You can't fight me! You can't stop me!"

"I'm not fighting you with strength," Hannah said softly. "I'm taking back me."

And then, inside the monster's body—something cracked.

Not outside. Inside.

It twitched again, losing balance for a second.

The creature shouted, clawing at its own arms, its chest, as if something inside it was breaking loose.

"No—no—no! I own you! You're mine! You gave up!"

But Hannah stood up fully now. Her wings shook but were no longer bound. Her eyes glowed faintly, not with a monster's power—but her own will.

"You don't own me, " Hannah stood tall, her voice clear and strong despite everything.

"You're alone," she said, looking straight at the monster. "But I'm not. I have my friends. Minseok, Jinhyu, and Skywing. They're with me. Together, we're stronger than you."

The creature growled, its body trembling as the light inside it grew brighter.

"You can't break us," Hannah said firmly. "I'm taking back my life. And you... you will lose."

And inside the monster—her light began to grow.

Hannah's last words stayed in the air as the big monster got weaker and smaller. It slowly disappeared.

Hannah fell down, shaking from the fight. Jinhyu crawled over to Minseok. "Han Seojun…"

When Seojun heard this, their minds came back to their real bodies. Hannah looked normal again. Her wings were gone and her skin was smooth. Minseok and Jinhyu lay on the ground, both hurt and not awake.

"Minseok!" Nayoung shouted as she ran to them. Yoora followed close behind. They had been waiting, worried, after they heard what happened.

Jinhyu woke up slowly, feeling very tired. Hannah opened her eyes, weak but alive. Alexa quickly came and took off the ropes that tied Hannah's hands. "P-Professor?" Hannah said, surprised to see Alexa.

Alexa smiled softly. "You are back."

Jinhyu stood up slowly and ran to Hannah. He hugged her tight. Both of them cried. Then Nayoung shouted, worried, "Something is wrong! Minseok is not breathing!"

Minseok slowly opened his eyes. Around him stretched a wide green landscape bathed in warm sunlight. Soft grass covered the ground, small rivers wound through the land, and tall trees stood in the distance. He was standing under the shade of a large tree. Confused, he looked down at his own body and whispered, "Where am I?"

Suddenly, a familiar female voice called out his name. Minseok looked around, startled. The voice laughed softly and said, "Whoa! Are you really that insect?"

Minseok blinked in surprise, not understanding. Then the voice told him to look up. When he did, he saw Skywing—the gale falcon—flying above him, bright and clear in the sunlight. "Skywing? Is that you?" Minseok asked, hope rising in his voice.

"Yes, it's me," the falcon answered.

Minseok almost lost his balance and fell to his knees. "You can talk? But how?"

Skywing gracefully flew down and landed gently on his knee. "All familiars can talk," she explained, "but before, our bond was too weak for you to hear me clearly."

She continued, "Master Seojun helped you increase your mana. Because of that, I can now reach out and use some of my true power. That is why you can hear me now."

Minseok was still confused but listened carefully.

Skywing sighed softly and said, "Every beast is very strong on its own. But when they become a summoned familiar, their power becomes smaller—matching their master's strength. How strong I am now depends on how strong you are."

She looked at him with kind eyes and added, "Before, your bond with me was too weak. That's why you couldn't hear my voice or feel my full power. But now, things are different."

Minseok sat quietly as Skywing looked at him with soft eyes. "You really pushed your limit," she said with a gentle voice.

"Even though you are blind, you still controlled me well. I'm impressed by your strength—and by the strong friendship between you, Hannah and Jinhyu. That kind of bond is rare."

She smiled, a little proud. "We will talk more later. But for now, you should go back. They are worried about you."

Minseok suddenly stopped her. "Wait!" he said quickly.

Skywing looked at him, curious. "Can we only talk here? Where is this place anyway?"

Skywing spread her wings slightly and explained, "This is my familiar space. When you unsummon me, I return here. From now on, you don't need a crystal to summon me. What you are now is enough to call me freely."

She looked at him warmly. "And yes, for now, we can only talk here. But as you grow stronger, we will be able to talk even when we are not here."

Minseok thought for a moment, then asked worriedly, "Wait, how about you? Are you okay? You were hurt, right?"

Skywing laughed softly. "Don't worry. Master Seojun will heal us both. Also, this familiar space has healing power inside it. I will heal here—but slowly."

She nodded to him gently. "Goodbye, Minseok. Rest well. Don't worry. We will see each other again soon."

With that, Skywing's bright form shimmered, and Minseok felt the warm calm of the familiar space around him.
