Infinite Evolution of Kamen Rider

Chapter 43: Chapter 42: Ohma Zi-O

The contracted beast of Kamen Rider Ryuki—once known as Dragredder—is referred to in this world as the Wushuang Red Dragon.

But in this altered timeline, shaped by the overwhelming power of the Ohma Zi-O, history has shifted. The Riders of the past have been erased from existence. There is no Ryuki, no dragon knight. Only the Wushuang Red Dragon remains—and the only one who can control it now is the Ohma Zi-O.

The dragon, which had been silently tailing the two of us, didn't follow the Wushuang Red Dragon in haste. Instead, it came to a halt just a few kilometers ahead.

In other words, the encampment of the remaining survivors was only a short distance from the Demon King's palace. The King didn't annihilate them during his reign—and now they dared to speak of rebellion? Fools who didn't recognize blessings even when living in them.

The so-called "palace" was nothing more than a small pavilion—modest, unassuming. It seems the King had maintained Sougo's simple tastes from his earlier days. Throughout the play, he either stood to transform into battle or sat in quiet repose upon the "throne" inside this humble structure.

Of course, that's merely how I saw it. Realistically, this was likely no more than Ohma Zi-O' daytime "office." As spartan as it was, surely he lived somewhere more fitting for a monarch.

"Who's that?"

Sougo, just released from the dragon's back, gazed ahead. Through the curtain of the pavilion, a vague figure was visible.

"Let's talk about our dreams," the figure said softly from within.

"Dreams? What dreams?" Sougo asked.

"A dream I had when I was young... A world consumed by alien machines, where people died one by one—and I could only stand and watch."

Sougo's breath quickened. Tsukuyomi, beside him, turned her gaze toward him as well.

"And then," the voice continued, "a mysterious man appeared before the younger me. He looked into my eyes and said—"

"You will eventually become the king!" Sougo muttered the words instinctively. "Then… you're..."

The curtain lifted.

Standing behind it was an older man—aged, yes—but unmistakably Sougo himself.

The King of Time, grown old.

(Yes, of course he aged. Nothing unusual there. Basic operations. Let's not act shocked.)

"I?!" Sougo gasped.

"The Ohma Zi-O!" Tsukuyomi blurted out.

I observed from a distance. The old King indeed looked like Sougo, but… he wasn't the one I had hoped to see.

As a clever Easter egg in the story, Gao Yan Cheng'er—known as the "second uncle" and a suit actor who portrayed nearly all main Riders—was cast to play the elder Sougo. Fitting for a man who held all Rider powers.

"Surprised, are you? My younger self." The elder King laughed.

"So, I really did become the King of Time..."

"Still don't believe it?"

"This... This can't be real!" Sougo stumbled back in disbelief.

"It's real!" The older version declared, stepping down from his throne. His white hair shimmered in the light. "I merely dreamt of becoming a king—and eventually, I saved the world. You, Sougo, are me!"

"But I wanted to become a kind and just king—not one who destroys the world!"

"Exactly!" The old King thumped his chest. "I am the kindest and most righteous of Demon Kings!"

"Then I'll defeat you here and now!" Sougo shouted, producing his belt, preparing for transformation.

"Sougo!" Tsukuyomi rushed forward, trying to stop him. Was he really going to throw himself into a life-and-death battle with his future self?

"Out of my way!" Sougo pushed her aside. Seeing this, I stepped in and gently caught her, guiding her a few steps back.

The old King glanced at me but said nothing. He clearly sensed my presence from the beginning. No doubt the dimensional wall's tremor—through which I had entered this world—alerted him.

After all, he is the ceiling of Heisei. The one who, by his very existence, raised the power cap of all Heisei Riders. A true outlier.

"Relax," I reassured Tsukuyomi. "He won't kill Sougo. After all, it's still him. No matter what, the old King won't kill his younger self. So we won't lose him."

"Huh..." Tsukuyomi blinked. That… actually made sense.

"But wait, why are you even here?" she asked.

"The same dimensional wall you entered. Kamoyaji summoned it."

"The gray wall? That thing?"

"Yep. By the way, Kamoyaji's actually a good guy."

"You call him a good guy?" she looked incredulous.

"...He just likes stirring the pot," I replied with a small grin. Watching Sougo lunge at his older self, I added, "And if you don't believe that, what I'm about to say next will blow your mind."

"What now?" Tsukuyomi clutched her chest. Every time I opened my mouth, something shocking came out.

"It seems you're ready, so I'll tell you..." I inhaled dramatically. Tsukuyomi instinctively held her breath—

"But it's a long story..."

"Then make it short!!" she exploded.

"Alright!" I blurted it out in one go: "The old devil is a good man. Sougo is the one who destroyed the world!"

"Wh-What!?" she gasped. "I must be hearing things..."

"Nope. Heard me right. Want the details?"

She nodded, unable to resist.

"Here it is: you rebelled. Gates died. Sougo lost control, became the Ohma Zi-O—and destroyed everything."

She stood in stunned silence, the truth smashing down on her like a tidal wave.

Back to Sougo.

He had already transformed and wasted no time unleashing a finisher. Using the Fourze Ride Watch, he launched a barrage of missile attacks at the old King, engulfing him in a fiery explosion.

Honestly, I'd never seen Sougo fight this hard. Guess it's easier to hit yourself than a stranger. Must be something primal in that.

Of course, everyone knows one rule across every world: "Smoke doesn't mean death." And with that much smoke from the explosion, it was clear the old King had taken zero damage.

Sure enough, when the smoke cleared, the old King—now in his full gold regalia—stood unscathed, staring silently at his younger self with theatrical flair.

"How?!" Sougo looked at his Time Limit Gun (currently in sword-rifle hybrid mode), baffled. "Is this thing fake!?"

"Ah, the memories! I really used to be like this," the old King said fondly. Then, with a casual wave of his hand, an invisible force sent Sougo flying backward dozens of meters.

"Relax. Soon enough, you'll gain power beyond your imagination. True Demon King power."

"Shut up!" Sougo shouted defiantly, rising to his feet again.

📣 [De-De-De-Decade!]

📣 [ArmorTime!]

📣 [KamenRide!]

📣 [Decade~~!]

Sougo activated his Decade Armor Mode and called upon his sword.

📣 [RideHeiSaber!]

📣 [Hey! Kuuga!]

This was no ordinary weapon. Empowered by Decade, it could channel the abilities of every Heisei-era Rider.

And now… the real battle began.
