Yuki sat alone in the quiet chamber, legs crossed, breath steady. His heartbeat echoed louder than ever in his ears—not out of fear, but something deeper. Something… pulling at him.

His training with Ren and the strange interactions with Himari had left him exhausted, yet strangely aware. Every time he closed his eyes, the void responded faster—no longer a chaotic storm, but something like a whisper. A presence. Watching. Waiting.

Why does it feel like I'm not alone in there anymore?

He tried not to think about the fight with that masked figure—the brutal training, the way his powers had surged and morphed in the heat of desperation. He hadn't meant to lose control. But when the void struck back… it had felt like someone else had guided it. Not him.

No, he thought, clenching his fists. I have to stay in control.

The floor beneath him vibrated faintly. Just once.

He opened his eyes.

"...What was that?"

Outside the window, the air shimmered. Barely perceptible—but definitely there. Like heatwaves rippling in the cold. Yuki stood, walking slowly to the window. The sky looked normal… but he felt something behind it. Like a second sky layered just above it, invisible but pressing.

He touched the glass.

Then flinched.

A vision—brief, like a flash—struck him. A massive silhouette standing in a sea of swirling black. Eyes glowing red. And a voice… cold and familiar.

"You're not ready. But you will be. Soon."

Yuki staggered back, falling to his knees.

"What the hell was that?"

His breath came heavy. But no one else had felt it. No alarms. No sounds. Just… him. Again.

Was that… the void? No, someone was inside it.

He looked at his hand, noticing the faint black shimmer dancing around his fingers before fading again. The void was changing.

Or rather—he was.

And somewhere out there… something was waiting.
