I'm the protagonist, yet the girls can hear the villain's inner voice

Chapter 2: Chapter 2 : The Story Begins

Lingzhou City

Su Family Manor

At a table on the terrace, a young man with brown hair sat, casually nibbling on a slice of cake. His face wore an expression of deep contemplation. This was Su Ming, the son of the Su family—one of the three behemoths of Lingzhou City, a family whose wealth surpassed a hundred billion.

"Haaaa…" Su Ming sighed heavily, his thoughts far away. "It's been three days since I came to this world."

"F*ck you."

That's right. Su Ming had found himself bound to a system. Its function? To force him to follow the plot of a novel. Every time he stuck to the prescribed narrative, he'd be rewarded with money and points. His points could be exchanged for stats, property, and skills. But there was a catch—he couldn't access any of these rewards until he returned to his original world.

"Everybody else gets these amazing systems that help them become invincible, and they end up with harems full of beauties. But me? I get stuck with this kind of system?"

"I can't tell whether you're cheering me on or making a sarcastic remark with that monotone voice of yours."

"…." Su Ming sat in silence for a moment, the faintest twitch of annoyance crossing his face.

"Why do you even need me in this world if all you want is for me to follow some preordained fate?" he muttered bitterly. "Did I offend you in the past? Did you enjoy forcing me to watch those face-slapping scenes from the first seat? Or does your creator simply find my reactions amusing?"

"Forget it. You keep repeating the same thing this past three days."

<2 days and 19 hours, host.>

"..."

After a moment of contemplation, Su Ming relaxed and allowed his mind to drift back to the original plot of the novel. The story was called Descend from the Mountain, I Become Famous.

The protagonist, Chen Fan, is a genius doctor and martial art that learn from some old expert for 10 years. just like the cliche story, there will be alot of face slapping moment and he got a lot of beauties in his harem. of course, Su Ming won't remember every dialogoe, monologoe, or some weird poem, and any detail descrtiption in the novel. sometime He wonder how the f*ck does all the transmigrator in the novel remember every little thing.

" system, are you sure you don't have the original novel with you? it'll be easier if you give me the script and i just need to read it when i need to perform"

"Hufff..... Haa.... Patience Su ming, Patience. Great thing awaits you in the future"

"SHUT UP" with that shout and system silence, Su Ming found a great relief of his stress accumulation. after calming down, recalling the fate of the original Su Ming in the novel. He can't help but ask the system again

"Su Ming in the original story face an ending of entering mental hospital after countless blows from the protagonist, If i completed my role and come back to my original world, what would happen to this body"

after some silence, the system answer with it usual monotone voice

"Minor thing..." Su Ming muttered under his breath, the gears in his mind spinning rapidly as he pieced the puzzle together. "Does that mean there's something major that this world can't self-correct? Is that why you need me to fix the world order and make sure the protagonist ends up exactly like in the original story?"

"ASSHOLE, I—" Su Ming's words caught in his throat as a realization hit him like a bolt of lightning. He narrowed his eyes. "Wait a second... Why don't you just say 'access denied' when I ask for confirmation? Hold on—does that mean you know, and you can actually tell me everything about this whole mess, but instead you're feeding me that limited access crap?"

That response froze Su Ming in place for half a second. It wasn't the usual mechanical monotone, nor was it evasive. It was panicked—an actual expression of worry.

"You... YOU F*CKER, I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" Su Ming roared, his fists clenched, ready to punch the intangible voice out of existence if he could.

-----

After a few deep breaths, Su Ming sank into the plush sofa, his mind racing to process the information he'd just uncovered. This world's so-called predetermined fate or storyline was showing cracks—subtle disruptions that threatened to derail the original plot. Not only was he tasked with playing his assigned role, but he also needed to identify and fix these changes before they spiraled out of control. The system had mentioned a few "minor" deviations, but the root cause was still a mystery.

"Why didn't you tell me when I asked?" Su Ming's voice dripped with irritation as he glared into the air, as if the intangible system could feel his frustration.

came the system's nonchalant reply, almost smug in tone.

"..." Su Ming stared blankly at the ceiling, contemplating his choices, then decided it was better to save his energy than argue with the obnoxious system. "Looking at the time, today's the day the protagonist descends from the mountain. And, as expected of every generic storyline, he meets a heroine as soon as he sets foot in the city."

The heroine, Wang Yue, would, of course, get caught in trouble with some hooligans enchanted by her beauty. Right on cue, Chen Fan would step in, playing the gallant hero and saving the day. His handsome appearance combined with his laid-back charm would inevitably leave Wang Yue experiencing the classic case of love at first sight.

Clicking his tongue in distaste, Su Ming muttered, "As expected of a brainless novel. Any normal thing the protagonist does ends up raising the heroine's favorability. It's ridiculous."

the system quipped, its voice oozing mockery.

"Hmph. I don't need that kind of brainless woman falling for me," Su Ming snapped, cutting the system off before it could retort further. "If I remember correctly, my part of the plot starts tomorrow, doesn't it? That's when I'll meet the second heroine, the protagonist's fiancée, Feng Xueying. So, technically, I don't need to do anything today, right?"

"…F*ck. Are you telling me to become his stalker now?"

"You really see me as your slave, huh?"

"I'm just a normal human, and he's a martial artist. How am I supposed to follow him without being noticed?"

"Damn it. Are you sure you're not secretly a stalker system? Most systems help their hosts become invincible in one fell swoop without expecting anything in return."

Su Ming's eye twitched at the insult. "You're really talkative, aren't you?" he muttered, standing abruptly and grabbing his jacket. Without wasting any more time, he stormed out of the villa, heading straight toward the plot location.

"Let's just get this over with…" he grumbled under his breath.

------

After running and leaping tirelessly from the top of the mountain to its base, Chen Fan finally arrived at the city. His gaze swept upward, taking in the towering buildings that seemed to scrape the heavens. The streets were adorned with sleek cars of various shapes and colors, their engines humming in harmony with the bustling energy of the crowd. Countless people moved about, each immersed in their own lives, while the cacophony of voices, horns, and distant music filled the air.

For a moment, Chen Fan stood still, his chest rising and falling from exertion, his eyes wide as if trying to drink in every detail. This world was entirely different from the quiet solitude of the mountain. Even before his master had taken him in, he'd never encountered such a vibrant, overwhelming sight.

Excitement, curiosity, and awe shimmered in his gaze, a kaleidoscope of emotions lighting up the face of a young man who was experiencing the modern world for the first time. His lips curled into a genuine, childlike smile, and the sparkle in his eyes betrayed a heart brimming with wonder.

For a fleeting moment, Chen Fan even forgot the ache in his chest from leaving his master behind.

"Here I come," he murmured, his voice filled with determination and unbridled excitement, as if declaring his arrival to the entire world.
