Chapter 48: Buying Service Car
The next morning, Matthew, Leo, and Saimon walked into Delgado Accounting & Associates, greeted by Lisa Delgado herself. They carried a mixture of excitement and nerves, knowing they were about to discuss something important—whether they could finally splurge a little from their hard-earned money.
"Morning, gentlemen," Lisa greeted warmly. "Come in, have a seat. What can I do for you today?"
Saimon exchanged a glance with Matthew and Leo before speaking. "Well, Lisa… we were thinking. Since we've got a decent amount in the bank now, we wanted to talk about, you know, buying something for ourselves. Like a car maybe?"
Lisa raised an eyebrow but smiled knowingly. "Ah, so you want to treat yourselves. I get it—after everything you've accomplished, it's only natural. But before we dive into that, let me ask you something: Do all of you have driver's licenses?"
The room fell silent for a moment. Matthew and Leo looked at each other awkwardly.
"Uhh… no," Matthew admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. "I never got around to getting one. I was too busy with school and now this whole business thing."
"Same here," Leo added. "I always thought I'd do it later, but… yeah, here we are."
Lisa chuckled softly. "Well, that's going to be a problem. You can't register a car in your name without a valid driver's license. Only Saimon would be eligible at this point."
Saimon crossed his arms and smirked. "Well, well, looks like I'm the only responsible one here."
"Hold on," Lisa continued, "I wouldn't rush to buy personal vehicles just yet anyway. Right now, your business expenses and investments should take priority. But if you're serious about transportation, I'd suggest something practical for the company—like a service vehicle."
"A service vehicle?" Matthew asked.
"Yes. Since you'll be traveling between your homes and the office regularly, especially once the business expands, a company van would make sense. It can be registered under Sentinel Systems and used for both business trips and employee transportation. Something comfortable but functional—like a Toyota Alphard or Lexus LM."
Leo's eyes lit up. "A Toyota Alphard? I've seen those—luxurious as hell for a van."
"Yeah, and the Lexus LM is even fancier," Saimon added. "It's like a moving VIP lounge."
Lisa nodded. "Exactly. It's an investment for the company, which means the purchase is tax-deductible. Plus, as you grow, having a corporate vehicle for meetings and events will be useful. You can always get personal cars later, once you sort out your licenses and tax plans."
Matthew exhaled in relief. "That sounds like a solid plan. Thanks, Lisa."
"Of course. Just make sure you stick to your budget. I'll help you manage the financial aspects once you've decided which vehicle to buy. Now, anything else I can assist you with?"
"We're good for now," Saimon said. "We'll check out the options and get back to you."
"Perfect. Keep me posted," Lisa replied.
Later that afternoon, the trio found themselves in a Toyota dealership, examining the sleek, luxurious Toyota Alphard on display. The vehicle's glossy black exterior gleamed under the showroom lights, and the sales representative enthusiastically walked them through the features.
"This is the 2019 Toyota Alphard Executive Lounge variant," the rep explained. "It comes with premium leather seating, captain's chairs with ottomans, and a full rear entertainment system. It's designed for maximum comfort during long-distance travel and ideal for executive use."
Leo opened the sliding door and peered inside. "Man, this thing is like a business-class cabin on wheels."
Saimon climbed in and settled into one of the plush captain's chairs, kicking back as he tested the reclining feature. "Okay, yeah. This thing's ridiculously comfortable. Imagine showing up to meetings in this. It's practically a mobile office."
Matthew examined the digital control panel on the armrest, which controlled seat settings, ambient lighting, and climate adjustments. "This would make traveling between the office and client sites a lot easier. Plus, it gives off a professional vibe for when we have partners riding with us."
The rep nodded, smiling. "Exactly. The Alphard is very popular among executives and companies looking to transport VIPs. It's reliable, spacious, and luxurious."
The trio took a few more minutes to explore the features before thanking the representative. "We'll think about it and let you know," Matthew said before they stepped out of the showroom.

Their next stop was the Lexus dealership down the street. A sales representative greeted them and eagerly introduced them to the Lexus LM, which immediately exuded a sense of exclusivity and luxury.
"This is the Lexus LM 350," the rep said, leading them to the sleek black MPV. "It's a luxury reimagining of the executive van concept, designed with privacy and comfort in mind. You have leather-trimmed seats, a premium Mark Levinson audio system, and rear cabin privacy partitions."
Saimon whistled low as he stepped inside. "Okay, this is next-level. This is like a VIP suite on wheels."
Leo sat down and tested the seat recline. "Man, it's got everything. I mean, the Alphard was nice, but this is on another level."
The rep continued, "The LM is built for executives who want more than just transportation. It's a statement of prestige. It's popular among high-ranking officials and company executives who want unmatched comfort and luxury."
Matthew gave a polite nod. "We're definitely impressed. Let's compare both options and get back to you."
After leaving the Lexus dealership, they grabbed coffee at a nearby café to discuss their choices.
"So, what do you think?" Saimon asked as he took a sip of his iced latte.
Leo shook his head, still in awe. "The LM is insane. But the price... It's probably double the Alphard's cost. The Alphard is already top-notch for where we are right now."
"I agree," Matthew said. "The Alphard hits the sweet spot. It gives us the functionality and luxury we need without going overboard. We'll have plenty of chances to upgrade in the future once we expand."
"Alphard it is, then," Saimon declared. "We'll finalize everything tomorrow."
"Sounds like a plan," Matthew said with a smile, raising his coffee cup. "Here's to Sentinel Systems and our soon-to-be company ride."
"To Sentinel Systems!" Leo echoed, clinking his cup with theirs.
The three friends knew the road ahead would be tough, but at least they'd be traveling it in style.
