I'm sorry love, I'm sorry

Chapter 8: Chapter 8

Juliette.

After a few hours I had to leave work and go to the hospital, as my son got worse, on the way I managed to call Nath and Joseph.

Now she was sitting in the hospital waiting for the doctor to come out, my mother was holding Nick who luckily he was asleep. A few minutes later I see Joseph enter, I get up and walk towards him.

"How is he? Have they told you yet that he has it?" He asks, hugging me. He sounds like a worried father.

It's my imagination.

"They're still checking it out."

"Calm down, he'll be fine" he tries to comfort me.

I nodded, stopped hugging him and turned to see my mother. Does she look tense and does she seem surprised? We both approach where she is.

"I'm sorry you have to meet him in this situation, but this is Joseph Beckmann, I'm dating him."

"Nice to meet you," she said without even looking up.

"The pleasure is mine, ma'am," she replied calmly. Nobody said anything, a few minutes later the doctor came out and walked towards us.

"Are you Nicholas Myers' parents?" Asked.

"Yeah, is he going to be okay?" Joseph asked, very worried.

"He has a cold," the doctor smiled. "I've given him antibiotics, he's going to be fine.

We both nodded our heads. "Can I come in and see it?"

"Only you, your husband, will have to wait," I announce, "follow me."

Wait, he thinks we're married? Oh my God. I could only nod and walk behind him. Now I could only think about my baby.

Joseph.

He was watching Juliett disappear down the hallway, and now all I was left with was this trash. We both look at each other.

"How did you find us? I made sure to leave no trace."

I looked back at him and said, "It was easy; you can't hide forever."

"I've underestimated you all these years," he laughed. "Juliett left out that little detail about you." He caressed my son's face.

"She never cared about my social class; I was the one who approached her."

"If she had known before..."

I interrupted her. "That's a cheap excuse," I replied angrily. "Only, no one should have gotten involved in our relationship."

"I know, does she know everything?" She asked, distressed.

"Yes, she was the one who discovered the truth," I replied. "Now you have to cooperate with me; does she understand?"

She nodded. "I'll go get some air" She got up, put Nick in my arms and left. I sat and admired my son, it's a perfect combination.

A few hours later, Nick was discharged, and we went to his house. Juliett's mother did not speak again, and when we arrived, she went to work. Only the four of us stayed.

Juliette.

She was looking at Joseph, who had Nick sleeping on his chest; that scene is really beautiful.

"That day I didn't want to know the result, but now I know I should know," she whispered. "What did you discover?"

She had avoided the topic since that day, even though he understood and kept bringing me food.

"You were right; they are drugging you. That caused the pill they gave you to affect your nervous system." Take my hand. "I'm sorry you have to know."

"It doesn't surprise me at all, since without my memories, she takes advantage of me and didn't want me to continue with my pregnancy. I can't trust her."

"You can trust me," she smiled.

"You're the only one I can trust." I smiled back. "Aren't you afraid of being here? This is who I am, and it's part of my life."

"Not a bit," she replied without hesitation. "You are for me.

He showed me something I thought I would never find: "love,” "understanding," and "respect.”

Ava.

Time passed slowly, and there were only two of us left. The new girl did the job well; she was perfect at this.

"You can go home; I'll close up," I told him.

She nodded, finished her homework and went home. On the other hand, she would wait for Sebastian. I heard the door open and smiled.

"You're late; I'll prepare your dinner for you to take home." I turned to see him and was sorry. "What are you doing here?."

Father.

The memories of the past came back to me. When would they stop tormenting me?

"I thought you were with your grandmother. Why are you here?" Asked.

"She died; that's why I came back," I responded with a broken voice.

"How long have you been back?"

She paled at my statement. "Because I did not know it?."

I felt vulnerable, like in the past, and it still hurt me a lot that he hated me so much.

"It's not that you care what I do," I questioned, annoyed, "that you kicked me out of your life; I needed you so much back then. It was easier for you to throw me away like trash."

"Just looking at you makes me sick, and I hear you..."

She interrupted him and said, "You have hated me since that day." She finished her sentence.

My mother had been murdered, and I had been a witness. Although she tried to protect me, she failed. I stopped talking, and my father and my brothers took it out on me. It was my fault; that's how I felt for years. Although my grandmother gave me a lot of love, she really missed my dad.

"Why wasn't it you?" That hurt so much.

"I always asked myself that question; however, no one can answer me." Tears started to fall. "You weren't there to know what happened and what they did to me." I ended up breaking down.

How could I tell him the truth without hurting myself more? Only I knew who the murderer was, and I was a coward for not telling the truth. The guilt was eating me alive; I was not happy.

"She protected you with her life, and thanks to her, you survived," he responded, full of rage.

I shook my head. "They let me live because they wanted me to suffer, and they tortured me. I live because I can't die. What do you know about pain?" My tears keep falling. "Mom was murdered in front of me, and I only received hate from you. I won't beg for love. Go away!"

I closed my eyes and wished this was a nightmare, but then I felt warm arms holding me tightly. "She's gone; calm down," Sebastian announces.

I open my eyes, and she is actually gone. "Thank you; please stay like this for a moment," I beg her, closing my eyes again.

However, a moment turned into an hour, and it felt good to be comforted.
