I'm sorry love, I'm sorry

Chapter 5: Chapter 5.

I smile in front of the mirror. I have put on some jeans, a princess-cut blouse and some Converse. I hate sneakers; I try not to wear them as much. I finished putting on my makeup, then took my bag and my phone.

I leave my room to go to the kitchen; probably no one is there. That's how it's always been. As I imagined it for myself, it is already a custom. He took a cup and poured water into it. He was already dying of thirst. I'm about to leave when a voice stops me:

"Do I give you some advice? As soon as you can, go and leave your mother; she is bad," She says with a tired voice.

My stepfather and I didn't get along, and I didn't care either. We both ignore each other. Despite everything, she was not like Mom.

"And you're not?" I respond with annoyance.

"Yes, but I know my limits; she won't have mercy on you," he says seriously.

I know what she's talking about; my mother is totally selfish, and I know she would even hurt me. I looked into his eyes; he looked sincere, much more sincere than my mother.

I'm not going to fool myself with the fact that she is her daughter; I won't be the one to cover for her.

"My mother is mean, even to her own daughter. She no longer surprises me."

"It's not just advice; it's a warning," she says, raising her voice.

"So... Thank you" left me speechless. He didn't know what to say; it's strange that he came to warn me about her.

After all, I lived with him for a long time, but he never showed affection or even empathy towards me.

She doesn't even answer me; she walks out of the kitchen, leaving me confused. Will he know something that I don't? Now I have confirmed that it is true.

She is capable of harming me, even though I am her daughter.

I finish drinking the water and leave the kitchen. I walk to the entrance of the house, closing the door behind me.

Joseph is almost here for me. I see Joseph's car approaching, and I smile. He parks the car and walks over to where I am.

He smiles at me before taking my face in his hand. He kisses me delicately, and he pauses and looks at me.

"I've missed you so much; I was looking forward to seeing you," he confesses.

"It seemed like forever; I wanted to see you."

"Come on, honey, today we will have fun," he smiles, intertwining our hands.

Juliette.

For me, this thing about dreams was no longer new; I got used to it, or at least remembered a part of it. Mom didn't know that she was starting to remember more memories; she scared me of what she would find in the end.

She was ready to know the truth; she wouldn't take any of those pills anymore.

Mom was still upset with me, and when I went downstairs, I ran into her.

"So, that's your decision?" she asked when she saw me.

"You said I had to have to forget the past and move on," I replied, smiling. "I finally like someone, and they make me feel good.

Of course, I was lying; I would go to a doctor to evaluate my condition.

"You still don't understand your situation, darling."

"What should I understand?"

"There are bad people in this world, and that man is one of them," she said unpleasantly.

She seems like she knows him.

I looked at her, confused. "You say it like you knew her," I said, moving closer to her to confront her. "Again, you are hiding things from me; if I remember correctly, you said the same thing about the father of my children."

⇛that you happen to not like to talk about, perhaps because the guilt eats you alive. If you hide anything else from me, you have to tell me the truth.

She looked at me indignantly and angrily. "I took you out of that place because it was the best for you. The idiot who impregnated you left when he found out." I tried to get him to look at me, but he didn't. "You have to believe me."

"The problem is that I don't trust you; you don't look me in the eyes. That's a sign of lying."

I walked away from her to my children's room; they were taking a nap after a busy night for them. I ran one of my fingers along her cheek.

"You can go to your appointment in peace," he said behind me. "I'll take care of them."

I turned to look at her and said, "You know I love you, mother; please, let's not argue again."

She smiled. "I shouldn't impose myself on you; you've already been through a lot. You have the right to be happy."

I nodded. Her smile scared me for the first time. I knew there was nothing good about her.

Joseph

I was finishing dressing when Robert landed behind me.

"Are you sure to go?" She asked again, and since she knew she was going to pick up Juliet she hesitated a little. "She'll see you; what if she hides her again?"

He rolled his eyes at her. “She won't; she probably already knows I found her.”

He turned pale. "Do you think she told him your name?"

I nodded. "If that man is helping her, she probably wants Juliet to fall in love with him," he said. "But that won't happen because I ruined her grand plan. She trusts me more than her mother."

"You're right, I'm a little nervous."

I turned to him and said, "She is your daughter; she deserves the truth."

He nodded and left my room. While I headed towards the car where I would go to get Juliet.

Once I got to her house, she was already outside waiting for me. She looked beautiful.

She got into the car and gave me a chaste kiss on the lips. “Too late?” I asked for.

"Not at all; it was just a few seconds," she replied, which was important. "Where are you taking me?"

"There is a fair not far from here."

She looked like a little girl "really?"

"Yes, we'll do whatever you want."

He took my hand and said, "I haven't been out in a long time."

"I know, kids take up all your time."

"Yes, I don't regret having them." Her look was melancholic. "They are my everything; I would do anything for them."

"You are a good mother."

From this moment on, she would never have to do things alone; she had found her, and she is my life.

The rest of our date, I could see her big smile; she had a blast. This day was one of the best of my life, thanks to her.

"Can I ask you a favor?" I asked as we walked towards the entrance to her house.

"Of course, tell me."

"I need you to help me carry this medicine; I don't want anyone to know," she says, taking out a bag with a capsule.

She took the bag and put it in my pocket. "Why don't you want anyone to know?"

"Because I think I'm being drugged," she said without looking at me.
