Chapter 2: ch-2
Chapter 2: Does the Company Have to Go Bankrupt to Spend Money?
"Now."
Upon hearing Henry Green's question, Andrew Carter didn't hesitate. He quickly pulled out his phone, found Henry's bank details, and transferred $400,000 to him.
This was the perfect opportunity to spend money, and Andrew wasn't about to let it slip away.
He then transferred $50,000 to Lauren Taylor as her legal fee.
Just as the transfers were complete, Andrew felt a subtle change in the system panel in his mind. Concentrating, he quickly observed the update: the original $1,000,000 in system funds had now decreased to $550,000.
The next step was clear—spending the remaining $550,000 wisely. Perhaps a visit to the company would reveal areas where money could be spent.
"Mr. Carter, you're a decisive man. I can see you're destined for big things," Henry Green praised as he checked his phone, visibly pleased with the transaction.
"It's still early. Why don't I take you to the factory to finalize the handover?"
The suggestion couldn't have been more timely. Andrew nodded in agreement, then turned to Lauren Taylor.
"Lauren, care to join us for a look at the factory?"
"That sounds fine," Lauren replied, nodding. She wanted to assess the company firsthand, ensuring there were no hidden problems. The legal fee she'd received was generous, but she hadn't done much to earn it so far.

At the Factory
Chengxi Industrial Park housed the Changfeng Garment Factory, a modest operation. Inside the factory, news of the sale had already reached the employees.
"I overheard the boss on the phone earlier. The factory's being sold, and the contract's being signed today," announced a young worker named Daniel Ross.
"How do you know that?" asked another employee, skeptical.
"I was in the office picking up the schedule and overheard him," Daniel replied.
His words caused a stir among the employees. Some were worried, others were resigned, but nearly everyone had something to say.
"Does it matter who owns the place? We'll still do the same work," a calm voice cut through the chatter.
It was Paul Bennett, a senior employee in sales.
"Easy for you to say, Paul. You're on Henry Green's team," Daniel retorted, rolling his eyes.
Paul sighed. He had known about the sale for days but didn't see any reason for alarm. The new owner had assured them that the existing structure would remain intact.
However, Daniel's next concern was harder to dismiss.
"What about this month's salary? Who's paying us—Henry or the new guy?"
Paul paused, caught off guard. Salary was indeed a gray area. Traditionally, the outgoing owner should settle wages before the sale, but Henry Green had skipped this step.
"We'll sort it out once the new boss arrives," Paul assured.

The Arrival
Andrew's car pulled into Chengxi Industrial Park, stopping in front of a modest factory building.
"This is the garment factory," Henry said, gesturing toward the property.
Andrew stepped out and surveyed the scene. His eyes lingered on the shabby company plaque.
The system didn't flag the idea of replacing it, which meant it was a legitimate expense. Perfect. A new high-end plaque would be his first investment.
Henry mistook Andrew's thoughtful pause for admiration. "If Mr. Carter likes it, let's head to the office first. After that, I'll introduce you to the employees."
Lauren couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "Is this your first time seeing the factory?" she asked.
"Yep," Andrew replied cheerfully, scanning the area for more opportunities to spend.
Lauren's expression darkened. She had assumed Andrew had at least visited the site before buying it. Apparently not.
"You're not worried about potential issues?"
"You confirmed there's nothing illegal going on here, right?" Andrew countered.
Lauren fell silent. So that was Andrew's threshold: as long as the company wasn't breaking any laws, he considered it a safe purchase.
Henry led them toward the factory building, which had peeling paint and a general air of neglect.
"The first floor on the left is the office. The employee dormitory is upstairs, and the workshop is on the right," Henry explained.
Andrew noted the rundown condition of the walls. Renovating the exterior would be another legitimate expense.
As they entered the office area, a group of employees was gathered in the hall, looking tense.
"What's going on here?" Henry asked, puzzled.
Paul stepped forward. "The employees have found out about the sale and are concerned about this month's salary."
Henry froze for a moment, then turned to Andrew with a sheepish smile.
"Mr. Carter, how would you like to address this?"
