Chapter 113: “Sky Runway”
Since Melan would be the one walking down the runway, Aon felt that he needed Melan's opinion as well.
Melan, who knew that he needed topicality and a lot of challenges so that his rank could be higher, immediately proposed a dangerous idea.
"How about you just create a runway in the sky? Maybe connecting two buildings or something."
Anyway, he's not an ordinary model. He could do what many ordinary models couldn't do.
Aon's eyes immediately lit up.
"That's a good idea! But we don't have materials to build such a strange runway."
Aon felt that it was too outrageous to create a high-tech runway.
The best he could do is to create a suspension bridge made of wood.
But apparently, he was still not daring enough. Melan Cho Lie looked at Aon and shook his head in disdain.
"No, no, just making an ordinary sky runway is not interesting enough. You see, how about you set up the stage like this..."
Melan whispered to Aon, even turning off the nano microphone so that the audience couldn't hear his words.
Everyone was itching to hear what Melan said to Aon, but they could only see Aon's facial expression.
At first, Aon was calm, but then, as Melan talked more, Aon widened his eyes and almost shouted on the spot.
Crazy! This guy is crazy!! How could he come up with such an idea?? Did he not think about the consequences of his idea??
What if he failed?? He could have died!!
Aon wanted to refuse Melan Cho Lie's suggestion, but Melan looked at Aon with stern eyes.
"Junior, listen to me. We have to make the runway as weird as possible. Only this way can both of us stand out among other contestants!"
Don't think that just because they finally became official contestants they could relax.
This is a survival show where the contestants not only had to survive various missions but also survive the cruel natural selection of their fans and the judges.
"Your votes among the fans are small, right? You can't always rely on the judges' scores. Sooner or later, you will be eliminated because you're not popular enough!"
Melan Cho Lie's words hit Aon's sore spot and he couldn't help but question his own charm.
Why is his vote so low? He should have a lot of fans...but he survives solely on the judges' scores.
What if next time the judges disliked his works and he got low scores?
He would definitely be eliminated!
Thinking about this, Aon hardened his heart and agreed with Melan Cho Lie's plan.
"Okay, okay! If you want to be that extreme, I can't stop you. I'll even help you with your plan!"
Aon felt like he was burning with passion. He wanted to show the audience and his fans that he also deserved to have votes!
The audience who heard what Melan Cho Lie said about Aon's low vote counts immediately felt guilty.
[Ah. I didn't vote for him because I thought he would definitely win anyway...it's not because I don't like him, really!]
[AxolotlKingdom's_PrimeMinister]:
Your majesty! We have failed you! I'll summon all your people and vote for you!
[Do you hear that, guys? Aon still needs our votes!]
The audiences were motivated to start voting for Aon while Aon and Melan, plus his newly-hired assistant, were all discussing their great plan.
Aon: "Bob, do you know where is the best place to create this kind of runway? It's better to choose a place with lesser zombies— "
Melan: "I think it's better to find a place with a lot of zombies. Won't that be more unique? The more dangerous, the better!"
Aon: "You...a madman! But that's a good idea."
Bob: "Uh...male or female zombies?"
Aon: "Both! We can't neglect the male zombies!"
Melan also didn't object to his onsite audience having a few male zombies.
He's not a sexist who discriminates against men. He loved men and women equally, as long as they were his fans.
Bob thought hard for a moment and came up with an idea.
"I...know...a good place. There is also...a lot of...materials..."
No matter what, building a mini runway required materials, right? He knew a place with rich resources which was why there were a lot of zombies there.
"Let's...go...before...dark..."
Once it was dark, the zombies would be more aggressive, and he himself couldn't promise that he wouldn't suddenly attack his boss.
Just like that, the three people and one invisible cat went to the "blessed land" full of resources that Bob introduced.
Unfortunately, Aon and Melan weren't the only ones who could use the zombies to get information.
Melan's rivals, the models ranked first to fourth, also had their own ways to inquire about the "blessed land".
Even though each of them had a different clothing and runway theme, it didn't stop them from running towards the "blessed land" with their partners.
Aon and Melan were not so lucky because they were a distance away from the blessed land.
By the time they arrived after going through countless hardships along the way, the sun had already set down, and the other four competitors had already entered the blessed land ahead of them.
When Bob saw that the sky darkened, he quickly distanced himself from his two bosses while stammering,
"B-boss, it's time...to get off work...I-I...will go to find food...bye!"
Bob was afraid that if he stayed any longer, he would not be able to suppress his instinct of attacking the two humans.
Before Aon and Melan could respond, Bob had already disappeared like a small whirlwind, going somewhere in the dark.
The two people looked at each other and shrugged.
"Okay, let's just go and survey the terrain first."
Aon walked in front of Melan while Melan stood guard behind Aon.
The long-legged model couldn't help but mumble,
"Can my girls find this place? What if I don't get the clothes I need..."
Right after Melan said the last word, Aon's voice sounded from the front with a hint of surprise.
"Eh! There are people here!"
