Chapter 3:
Chapter 3: Ancient Liuli Domain, Ye Family Ye Liuli, Chu Fan:
The Ye Family resided in the Ancient Colored Glass Domain, where immortal islands floated in the sky, surrounded by blooming flowers and a thick Immortal aura.
A massive “Ye” character glowed with golden light, exuding majesty and dominance. To an outsider, this place could easily be mistaken for the dwelling of immortals.
In an elegant chamber, a woman sat calmly by the pavilion, gazing out of the window. Her snow-white arms supported her delicate head, and her makeup-free face did nothing to diminish her breathtaking beauty. Her flowing black hair fluttered gently in the breeze, and her presence resembled a painting of an immortal goddess.
“Miss, you’re lost in thought again,” a voice called, breaking her reverie.
“Lingyun, you’re here,” Ye Liuli said, a faint smile gracing her lips.
Lingyun was the only one who had stayed by Ye Liuli’s side after she lost her supreme bone. While others had ridiculed or avoided her, Lingyun cared for her as always. Though their relationship appeared to be one of master and servant, they were more like sisters.
“Miss, are you thinking about tomorrow’s trip to the Emperor Family?” Lingyun asked.
A flash of killing intent swept across Ye Liuli’s eyes at the mention of the Emperor Family. Lingyun, feeling the oppressive aura, instinctively stepped back, her face pale.
Realizing Lingyun’s fear, Ye Liuli quickly reined in her killing intent and walked over to her, channeling Spiritual Qi into Lingyun’s body to calm her.
“I’m sorry, Miss. I shouldn’t have brought that up,” Lingyun said, her voice trembling.
Ye Liuli smiled and patted Lingyun’s head gently. “It’s fine. I didn’t blame you. Now get up.”
Lingyun stood and grinned. “I knew you were the best, Miss!”
Ye Liuli chuckled. “You mischievous girl. You’re always so lively.”
“Miss, since you just finished your Closed Door Training, let me give you a massage,” Lingyun offered.
Ye Liuli nodded, and Lingyun continued, “By the way, the young man you brought back has caught the attention of an ancestor in the family. He’s been accepted as a disciple!”
“Who is this young man?” Ye Liuli asked, her tone curious. “I’ve just come out of training and haven’t heard about this.”
“His name is Chu Fan. You met him during one of your expeditions. He said his family was destroyed, and he escaped with his younger sister. Back then, he was weak, almost useless. But after gaining a fortunate encounter, he started cultivating. He even helped you find the elixir you needed. Feeling sorry for his tragic life, you brought him back to the Ye Family. Who would’ve thought he’d turn out to be such a genius?”
As Lingyun spoke, a figure approached them. Distracted, she tripped over a stone underfoot.
“Ah!” Lingyun cried out as she stumbled, her face pale with panic.
“Are you alright?” A calm, gentle voice asked, carrying a comforting warmth.
Lingyun looked up to see Chu Fan. Though his features were unremarkable, his eyes radiated determination and strength. Her cheeks flushed as she quickly withdrew her arm from his grasp.
“Thank you, Young Master Chu Fan,” Lingyun said, bowing in gratitude.
Chu Fan smiled faintly, though a flash of greed briefly flickered in his eyes before disappearing. “Is Liuli here? I need to see her.”
“Miss is still in Closed Door Training and won’t see anyone until tomorrow,” Lingyun replied politely. “If you have anything urgent, you can tell me, and I’ll relay it to her.”
“It’s nothing urgent. And please, there’s no need to call me Young Master. Just call me Chu Fan,” he said, his tone light and friendly.
“That wouldn’t be proper,” Lingyun protested. “You’ve been accepted as a disciple by one of our ancestors, and your status is far above mine. I’m just a servant.”
Chu Fan stepped closer and patted Lingyun’s head reassuringly. “It’s fine. If anyone dares to give you trouble, I’ll handle them.”
As Chu Fan walked away, Lingyun muttered softly, “Big Brother Chu Fan is so kind and strong…”
Chu Fan smirked as he overheard her.
Thoughts raced through his mind. “Once I’ve subdued Liuli, gaining her and her maid will only make things sweeter. Why not?”
However, his thoughts darkened as he recalled the ancestor’s words.
Anger burned in his eyes as he whispered to himself, “The Emperor Family’s Di Tian? How dare you break off the engagement with Liuli! Tomorrow, I’ll settle this for her.”
The sword strapped to Chu Fan’s back seemed to hum in response to his fighting spirit.
…
Meanwhile, Di Tian emerged from his Great Hall, taking a deep breath of the fresh air. He couldn’t help but marvel at the pristine quality of the cultivation world’s environment.
As he stepped out, the Emperor Family’s servants bowed deeply, trembling in fear. Di Tian’s previous demeanor had been overbearing, cold, and bloodthirsty due to his uncontrolled Heavenly Demon body. His very presence had terrified those around him.
But now, he offered them a gentle smile and nodded. The servants exchanged confused glances as he walked away.
“Did you see that? Did Divine Son just smile? And there wasn’t any oppressive aura!”
“I thought I was imagining it too. This is unbelievable!”
“Enough gossip! Focus on your duties. The Divine Son is our Emperor Family’s destined one. He’s beyond our understanding.”
Di Tian made his way to the highest Great Hall, where a middle-aged figure sat on the throne. Shrouded in a veil of chaos, the man radiated an aura of supremacy. This was the Emperor, head of the family, whose very presence could shake the Divine Realm. He was also Di Tian’s father.
Below the Emperor, over a dozen elders stood. Each of them was a powerhouse in the Sage Realm.
Di Tian saluted them respectfully. “Greetings, Father. Greetings, Elders.”
The room fell silent in shock. The previous Di Tian had been domineering, showing respect only to the Emperor. The elders were stunned.
“Has Divine Son’s personality changed during his Closed Door Training?”
“As expected of the Emperor Family’s destined son. His ways are unfathomable.”
The elders exchanged thoughtful glances, their hearts filled with awe.
