I'm a Chunin Teacher, But the System Thinks I'm Naruto's Classmate!

Chapter 32: My Fire Style Is Better Than Itachi’s

After school, Kitazawa left the academy and headed to Yuhi Kurenai's home. After knocking on the door and getting permission, he pushed it open and stepped inside.

In the living room, Yuhi Kurenai and Kurama Yakumo were sitting side by side. Neither wore shoes and two pairs of jade-like feet—one large, one small—rested on the floor.

"Teacher Kitazawa," Kurama Yakumo said softly. There was a captivating charm in her voice.

Kitazawa unconsciously relaxed, as if all the fatigue accumulated through the day had melted away.

"How is it?" Kurenai smiled and asked, "Feeling refreshed?"

"Indeed." Kitazawa came to his senses and said with a hint of emotion, "Yakumo's illusion talent is truly terrifying."

"She's from the Kurama clan, after all. They were once as renowned as the Uchiha," Kurenai paused, then asked, "You came just in time. What do you think we should name this sound illusion?"

The reason Yakumo's voice felt special just now was because she had activated a sound-based genjutsu—an illusion they had spent two weeks developing.

It was a D-rank technique. Its effect was simple: using sound to relax the target and remove fatigue.

"Name?" Kitazawa touched his chin. He was notoriously bad at naming things. When playing games, he could spend over an hour just choosing a name.

"Let's call it the Art of Speech Jutsu. What do you think?" Kitazawa suggested, a spark of inspiration flashing in his mind.

"Art of Speech Jutsu? Not bad. It suits the effect." Kurenai nodded thoughtfully.

"Thank you, teachers," Kurama Yakumo stood up and bowed slightly.

"You're welcome." Kitazawa patted her head and said, "If you become a psychological medical ninja, it'll benefit all of us."

"Yes," Kurenai agreed. "We might need your help someday."

She wasn't just comforting Yakumo. Among all ninja types, illusionists are the most vulnerable to psychological trauma. The reason is simple.

Genjutsu is rooted in Yin Release, a battle of mental power. A single misstep could cause lingering psychological wounds.

Take Hatake Kakashi, for example. He was struck by Uchiha Itachi's Tsukuyomi in the original story and fell into a coma for a whole month.

Of course, the unluckiest was Uchiha Sasuke. Every time the hatred in his heart faded, Itachi would use illusions to stimulate him, replaying the massacre scene like a VCR.

"Yes!" Kurama Yakumo said with resolve. "I'll do my best!"

"Kitazawa and I can only help with illusion training," Kurenai added after thinking for a moment, "Your real strength lies in your bloodline limit—you need to develop it well."

"I understand," Yakumo nodded. "Teacher Kitazawa has shown me the way. I'll use my brush to unlock its true power."

"Your bloodline is powerful," Kitazawa thought of Ido from the original story and reminded her, "Don't fear it. Accept it."

"I will," Yakumo smiled. "Besides, I still have you. There won't be a problem."

"There's plenty of time. Take it slow," Kurenai stood up and said, "Kitazawa, stay for dinner. I'll go cook."

"Alright." Kitazawa agreed without hesitation. In the past two weeks, he had eaten there many times. Their relationship had grown much closer.

"I'll help you." He followed Kurenai into the kitchen.

Kurenai put on an apron, then tied up her long hair, exposing her fair neck. With her hair up and a spatula in hand, she radiated the aura of a gentle homemaker.

After dinner, Kitazawa bid farewell and returned home.

---

A new day—April 30th—marked the monthly exam for Grade 1, Class A.

Kitazawa would be participating as well since he needed to complete his mission. Getting first place wouldn't be easy, but as the one who designed the test and oversaw the first grade, he already knew all the answers.

He's not Might Guy, and a teacher's cheating doesn't count as cheating.

That morning, Kitazawa arrived early in the classroom—the day's exam venue. He suddenly paused. He had spotted Uchiha Sasuke.

Unlike yesterday's sunny aura, today Sasuke looked gloomy as if a storm cloud hovered over his head.

"Sasuke, what's wrong?" Kitazawa approached and asked.

"I'm fine." Sasuke replied without raising his head.

"No, something's clearly bothering you." Kitazawa sat beside him. "If you don't tell me, how can I help?"

It related to his mission—he couldn't allow Sasuke to give up.

"You won't get it," Sasuke thought for a moment before answering.

He had seen Kitazawa's Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique. It was strong, but not as overwhelming as Itachi's.

Kitazawa frowned. Watch it, kid. I'll give you one more chance to rephrase that.

"Why not?" He asked lazily. "Have you seen me at my peak?"

"No… no." Sasuke was stunned. "Are you stronger than my brother?"

"Since you're this down, then it means you must've seen your brother's fireball jutsu."

Kitazawa sidestepped the question. "How big was it?"

"As tall as a three-story building, around nine meters!" Sasuke gestured. Seeing Itachi's technique last night, he had been struck by how vast the gap was—even between brothers.

"Nine meters, huh?" Kitazawa raised an eyebrow. "Not bad."

"Not bad?" Sasuke sat up straight, a flicker of hope returning.

"I can teach you to blow a ten-meter fireball," Kitazawa said seriously.

He wasn't exaggerating. The Fire Style: Great Fireball jutsu from the system came with full knowledge embedded. No one in the ninja world understood it better. As long as he had chakra, he could make fireballs of any size.

Yes, my fireball is very big—deal with it.

"Really?" Sasuke's eyes widened.

"Why would I lie?" Kitazawa patted his shoulder. "After the exam, I'll teach you."

"Thank you, Teacher Kitazawa!" Sasuke said gratefully.

"Focus on the test now." Kitazawa stood and moved to the podium.

As time passed, Hinata, Ino, Naruto, and the others arrived one after another.

"There's only one rule for this exam—no cheating. Anyone caught will have their scores voided." Kitazawa said in a serious tone.

At nine o'clock sharp, the theoretical exam officially began.

Kitazawa scanned the room. Sasuke and Shikamaru looked calm. Hinata was nervous like she faced a life-or-death battle.

Naruto scratched his head, staring at the test paper like it would grow him a new brain.

Other than Kitazawa's own class, the rest were fairly average. He withdrew his gaze, pulled out his own exam paper, and began to solve the questions.

But before doing that, he created two shadow clones and had them patrol the room.
