I was reborn into a fantasy world

Right now, Zenith, Paul, and I were standing in front of the door, watching the person who had just arrived.

"It's nice to meet you all, from now on I'll be your guardian. I'm Roxy, please take care of me," said the little blue haired girl in front of us.

She seemed to ignore their surprised looks because I think it was because they recognized that she was a demon.

"So, where's the kid who's supposed to be my student?" she asked, exchanging glances between Zenith and Paul.

"Oh yeah, here he is, Kiel," Zenith put her hands on my shoulders as she named me.

As a good boy, I smiled as sincerely as I could and waved, saying, "Hi."

I mean, seeing Roxy's face and hearing her mumbles right now was pretty funny, but I don't blame her, I'd be the same or worse if I was supposed to be hired by some people to teach such a young child.

"Don't worry, how about you see what Kiel can do first, before you decide?" - Oh? Without even turning around, I can imagine how Zenith is holding back the urge to answer Roxy for her mumbles.

Roxy, for her part, sighed in resignation and said in a low voice, "Fine, then let's go outside."

"Sure" - I nodded and Zenith and Paul seemed to agree with her.

So without further ado, Roxy and I went out and after being in a moderately free space she stopped.

"Okay, first let's do a quick review," - she said as she took more of a teacher's posture and began to explain the basics I should know as a magician.

Like there are 3 known types of magic which are attack magic, healing magic, and summoning magic. Each one is divided into 7 levels which are: beginner/elementary, intermediate, advanced, saintly/holy, kingly, imperial/emperor, and divine/god.

And then it was a blah, blah, blah, of all the basics about magic, how it exists in the environment and in our body, and how we manipulate it to cast spells.

"Did you understand everything I said?" - she asked me after finishing her explanation.

"Yes," - I nodded without commenting further, now for her I must only look like a child whose parents think I am a "child prodigy", for now I will stay out of the way and just be the child who can use magic at an early age.

I'm not even going to do silent magic or use magic circles, I'll just repeat what she teaches me.

Which by the way one thing I discovered is that I can now do silent magic for beginner-level spells, all thanks to leveling up.

"Okay, so now I'll do a demonstration of a spell so you can do it later, okay?" - she said as she prepared to do magic.

"Okay" - I nodded, then she nodded and began to recite the spell.

"Let the great protection of water be on the place thou seekest. I call a refreshing burbling stream here and now." - she began to speak slowly as if she wanted me to listen carefully and after finishing reciting the spell, she said, - "Water Ball"

A ball of water shot out with great force towards the front.

"How did you like it? Did you understand everything?" - she asked to which I nodded, then she spoke again, - "So now you do it, don't worry if you fail"

I nodded ignoring that last bit and took a step forward, raised my hand as I inhaled deeply and released it, not out of nerves, but out of the embarrassment I'm feeling for what I'm about to say.

In my past life, I was an Otaku, it's true, but I didn't go to the extremes of having no shame to recite something from an anime I watched.

But I shook my head and concentrated, then I began to recite the chant and when I finished I said, "Water ball" - And a ball of water shot from the palm of my hand towards the front with some force.

"Mmmm, well well, it seems they weren't lying, so maybe it wasn't a fiasco to have come," - I heard Roxy murmur and that made me wonder if she does it on purpose or if it's just that she thinks no one hears her, then I turned to look at her and she came back to herself.

"Well, you did very well, Kiel," she said as she nodded and looked at me as if she had found a diamond in the rough.

[Time later]

It was already night, after showing Roxy that I could do magic, she had a change of behavior towards me, not too big, but now she doesn't seem to talk to me as if I were just a kid who doesn't know anything and sees me more as a kid with the potential to be a great magician.

Well, anyway, after that we went back and at home Zenith, Paul, and Lilia had prepared a kind of welcome for Roxy, so today I didn't have to go through Paul's training.

Which by the way had started the day after he returned from looking for a magic teacher for me, for now he's just making me gain strength and endurance.

Making me run around the yard, swing a wooden sword, among other things, while showing me basic swordsmanship poses, although he hasn't made me do any yet.

Despite everything, it seems that he has certain limits in what he thinks to teach me even as a child, it's good, since it doesn't leave me so tired to study my grimoire at night.

Grimoire which by the way, yesterday I read something quite interesting and it is that it seems that the creator left something more than just spells.

The creator left some pages to explain a method that would allow me to enter my mental space, it is supposed to allow me to improve my memory and things like that.

You don't know how excited I was to discover that, since that would allow me to remember my memories about my past life, especially the knowledge I forgot about Mushoku Tensei.

That was a relief, since right now I only remember the basics and some things from the background of the world, but deeper details I don't remember anything, so those memories will allow me to prepare for future situations, assuming they happen, after all, some if not most of the things that happen in the Mushoku Tensei novel happen because Rudeus exists.

So I don't know how much will happen and how much won't, but hey, preparing for something that won't happen is much better than something happening that catches me off guard without being prepared.

So with that in mind I started to focus my attention on the method to be able to enter my mental space.

I mean that despite the fact that everything is well summarized and understandable in the grimoire, this is quite complex to understand for me.

I don't have much to say, just that in the ranks they change one thing and that is that now the mage rank is equivalent to an intermediate and advanced mushoku tensei mage and an adept mage is like a saintly/holy mage.

After that I will not compare one with the other anymore.
