I Suddenly Became Rich, But I Have No Idea How to Spend the Money

Chapter 38

The second day in Macau began.

Today, I had two new companions.

They were among the things I had bought in my shopping spree yesterday.

One was a Fendi clutch bag.

Since I’d be moving around a lot within the hotel and heading to the casino, I wanted something that would elevate my appearance a little. I already own more small, easy-to-carry bags than I can count, but you can never have too many of these things.

It was a Selleria clutch bag, boasting a surprising amount of storage despite its compact look. I could tell it would come in handy.

The other was a Louis Vuitton mini wallet with a black monogram pattern.

Apparently, these are quite trendy these days, and I figured it’d be more convenient than carrying around a bulky wallet, so I picked one up.

The Portefeuille Brazza was just too big.

This mini wallet, however, was quite well received.

When I sent a picture of it to Hitomi via LINE, she responded with a compliment: “That’s cute.”

Of course, I had bought it immediately.

I packed my Selleria clutch with my phone, my bulky wallet, the mini wallet, cigarettes, and the cash that wouldn’t fit in my wallet, then headed for the club lounge.

Breakfast was the goal.

Compared to the main restaurant, the club lounge breakfast was a little more extravagant and had better service. After enjoying my meal, I set off for a different casino than yesterday’s.

This time, it was The Venetian Macao.

Walking from the Galaxy to The Venetian takes about 20 minutes, which is a bit much, so I decided to take a car.

I had the front desk call a taxi for me and made my way to The Venetian Macao.

Upon arrival, I was struck with excitement at its grandeur.

Rather than feeling overwhelmed, I was genuinely thrilled—perhaps my experiences at Bellagio and Caesars Palace were paying off.

As expected from a casino bearing the name “Venetian,” it was surrounded by canals.

In fact, The Venetian Macao has the largest casino floor in the world, so such extravagance is to be expected.

Even I was a little intimidated when I stepped inside.

The sheer opulence of the ceiling, walls, and everything else was overwhelming.

For a moment, I felt out of place, but I quickly reminded myself: Today, I was here to take The Venetian Macao for everything it had.

Shaking off my hesitation, I had a casino membership card made and entered.

Almost immediately, a manager in a black suit appeared and guided me toward the VIP room.

“Good afternoon, Kirishima-sama.

I am Fan, the manager.

We’ve already heard about your grand victory at the Galaxy Casino yesterday, so we would love to have you in our VIP room.

Also, we’ve been informed by Daniel from Las Vegas.

Morton has also told us about your stay at our sister hotel, The Palazzo.

We truly appreciate your patronage.”

“Thank you.

I had no idea this was a sister hotel.

If I had known, I would have stayed here instead.”

“If you’d like, we can prepare a room for you right away.

At this moment, the owner’s exclusive suite is available, so we could arrange that for you.”

Fan said this with a playful smirk.

“If I win enough here to buy out the casino, I’ll take you up on that.”

Matching his humor, I replied with a joke of my own as we arrived at the VIP room.

As expected of a VIP area, the minimum bet was absurdly high.

There were even chips worth 20 million yen apiece.

The moment I stepped into the VIP floor (which, despite being called a “room,” was an entire dedicated floor), a murmur spread through the hall.

“It seems some of the guests here are familiar with your exploits from yesterday, as well as your time in Las Vegas.”

Fan commented.

Now that I thought about it, it made sense.

After all, I had been raking in an absurd amount of money over the past few days.

It would have been strange if word hadn’t spread.

Being known as one of Daniel’s acquaintances probably earned me some leeway here as well.

To be fair, I had been spending quite a bit of my winnings in the surrounding areas, keeping the local economy moving—but still, I had won too much.

Today, however, I planned to earn even more than I had in the past few days combined.

Looking at the grand entrance of the hotel and the lavish decor of the casino, any sense of reservation had vanished.

“These guys have a serious bankroll.”

“I’m planning to play long today and win a lot, so please make sure there’s plenty of cash on hand.”

I said with a smile.

Fan also smiled back—but I noticed a single bead of sweat trailing down his neck.

Not many people would’ve caught that.

For now, I headed toward the game I was most confident in—roulette.
