"I Reincarnated in Boku no Hero but They Forgot to Give Me a System"

Chapter 32: Chapter 32– Body, Flame, and Science

Chapter 32 – Body, Flame, and Science

After the intense training and his conversation with Mirko, Aoi walked alongside the three heroines toward the headquarters of his company — Todoroki Industries.

The morning sun reflected off the building's elegant glass façade, bathing the group in golden light as they approached the entrance.

Ryuko walked calmly, her gaze occasionally drifting to the sky.

— "Are you okay after all that intense training? Don't you want to rest a bit before starting work?" — she asked gently.

— "I'm fine. With my quirk, a training session like that isn't enough to make me need rest," — Aoi replied, his voice calm and serene.

Midnight snapped her fingers, her tone playful as she walked beside him with a teasing smile.

— "Hmph. Looks like our future hero is really dedicated to his tasks. Just be careful not to overdo it, or I'll have to put you to sleep..."

Mirko snorted with a smile.

— "Calm down, Midnight. Our little brat here is strong. He can handle it. And if he feels sick, I'll drag him straight to a hospital. After all, I finally found a training partner — I'm not letting him go."

They entered the building and passed through sleek, futuristic corridors. When the lab doors opened, a wave of sterile air and the smell of chemicals filled their lungs. Aoi led the way into the main development sector — a large laboratory packed with state-of-the-art equipment, custom machinery, and dozens of labeled vials and devices.

All of it funded by the revenue from FaceHero and the new technological partnerships formed after the app's success.

Aoi moved quickly through the space, zigzagging between workbenches and analyzing data blocks. He stopped abruptly when his eyes landed on a half-filled vial — a golden liquid shimmering with pulsating particles. It was an experimental formula: Partial Regeneration Serum, a product that couldn't yet regenerate an entire body but was effective for regrowing lost fingers, repairing disfigured faces, and restoring small body parts. Aoi was working on this prototype before moving on to more advanced research.

He looked at the serum in his hand, still in the testing phase, and had a wild idea.

— "If I use this medication to train my internal organs... I could progress faster. Maybe I'll reach my goal of having half of All Might's peak strength by the time I enter school. And if I can strengthen my organs, I can eliminate one of the human body's biggest weaknesses — internal fragility."

His eyes narrowed. He grabbed a notebook and began scribbling furiously.

— "If I take controlled microdoses… and strategically stress the internal organs..."

He murmured as he wrote, his voice growing more intense.

— "If muscles grow stronger through stress and recovery… why not organs? Why not condition the inside of the body the same way we do the outside?"

He slammed the notebook onto the bench, continuing to jot down equations and dosage estimates.

— "Trigger microdamage, force regeneration, repeat. Internal cellular hypertrophy. Strengthening the organs. Building a core with no weakness."

At that moment, Ryuko entered the lab. She saw Aoi hunched over a set of test tubes, carefully examining the viscosity of a new batch.

— "Aoi… what exactly are you trying to do now?"

He didn't look up. He answered flatly, immersed in his work.

— "I had an idea. I'm training my internal systems. Heart. Lungs. Liver. Kidneys. I want the inside of my body to be as indestructible as the outside. That way, I can break human limits and become stronger and stronger."

Ryuko's expression shifted — concern, but also curiosity.

— "That's extremely dangerous. You're talking about interfering with vital and delicate structures. One mistake and you could end up dead or seriously injured."

Aoi finally looked up, his gaze intense.

— "Exactly. That's why only I can test it. I can't die. My body regenerates. If something goes wrong... I feel pain. That's it. Then it heals. I'll be careful, starting with small stimuli. If the plan doesn't work, I'll stop and forget about it."

Mirko's voice echoed from the doorway as she entered, stretching her arms.

— "Heh. You really are crazy. Training your liver like a bicep?" — she laughed. — "But hey... I admit it, kid. You've got guts. Even if it's a dumb idea, if I see anything even slightly wrong, I'm dragging you straight to a hospital."

Midnight followed, leaning lazily against the doorframe with a sleepy smile.

— "Aoi, you're already getting strong at an impressive speed. There's no need to take such risks," — she purred.

She slowly walked toward him, scanning the room with her eyes.

— "But I know there's no point in trying to stop you. You'd just try this crazy idea when we're not around. So it's better if you test it with us here to help in case anything goes wrong."

Aoi nodded.

— "Thanks for understanding. But don't worry. Every part of the experiment and every reaction is being recorded. It not only makes me stronger… it helps refine the formulas. I'm learning more from my own biology than any textbook could offer."

He turned and picked up a test vial — a small amount, barely a sip.

— "Time to test."

Without hesitation, he drank it.

At first, nothing. Then — a jolt. A tightness in his chest. His heart rate spiked, sweat beading on his forehead. His knees trembled for a second — and then...

Blue flames burst from within, wrapping his body like a living armor.

The pain vanished. His breathing stabilized. Regeneration kicked in.

He exhaled forcefully.

— "It worked."

Mirko raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms.

— "Only a crazy brat like you could come up with this idea... and actually have the guts to try it."

Ryuko stepped forward, calm but firm.

— "Just promise me you'll keep monitoring everything. Even a body like yours has limits."

Midnight leaned over a workbench and traced her finger along the edge of a vial.

— "I agree with Ryuko. Even though your idea worked, you can't overdo it. Take it slow. You still have plenty of time to get stronger — no need to risk yourself like this."

Aoi smiled, looking at the vials spread out before him.

— "I know. I'll be careful. I won't overdo this kind of training. You can relax."

Mirko let out a short laugh.

— "Well, looks like you've still got a little common sense in that head of yours. Just don't make us worry, or I'll beat you up."

Ryuko gave him a gentle smile, placing her hand on his shoulder.

— "Alright, I'll trust you. Just remember — we'll protect you. So there's no need to be so anxious to get stronger."

Aoi didn't respond immediately.

He looked at Mirko, Midnight, and Ryuko, all watching him with confidence.

He saw their smiles and realized how serious they were about protecting him. Aoi smiled too and said:

— "I'm counting on you… so, Ryuko, Nemuri, and Rumi."

Mirko grinned.

— "Leave it to me. None of those stupid villains will walk away in one piece when I'm done with them."

Ryuko nodded.

— "Yeah. You can count on us. You're safe."

Midnight added with a sly smile:

— "And if you want to sleep with me to feel safe… I don't mind, Aoi."
