I Possessed the Heroine’s Teacher

Chapter 111

“So, you’re going to meet the miners’ union, right?”

“Well, since the Black Round Table isn’t showing any signs of appearing, I should start with the closest thing. Count Halstead is the most loyal vassal of the Crown Prince, so he should handle a problem like this.”

“By the way, the leader of that miners’ union is a completely crazy guy.”

Iris was unusually angry about something concerning someone she had never seen before. She hadn’t shown this kind of reaction recently… I guess even the protagonist can get like this when pushed? In the original story, Iris was always a kind person who would help others when they were in trouble. That is, until Werner’s death.

“I didn’t know you could get angry about things concerning people you’ve never met.”

“But it’s disgusting, isn’t it? Using your position to selfishly try to marry someone successful… People like that.”

Iris said this and then shot a quick glance at Glacies. A faint smile curved her lips at the same time. Glacies seemed to notice this and drew her magic sword.

“It seems that now that I’ve been treating you kindly, you want to die. If you want to finish the fight that we didn’t resolve back then, I’m fine with it…”

“I just said I didn’t like people like that. Why are you suddenly freaking out? Oh, is this what they mean by ‘the thief feels guilty’?”

“I’ve tolerated your rudeness so far, but now you’re really pushing your luck.”

“You think we’re friends just because we read a few books together recently? How lonely must you be to mistake that for friendship?”

But isn’t it the same for Iris? She has kids she used to play with in Bekem, but I wouldn’t call any of them her friends. Is it that “the enemy of the loner is the loner”?

“Today, I’m going to teach you some manners, you arrogant person.”

“Oh, then I’ll teach you what a ‘crushing defeat’ really is, you naive young lady.”

The two were clearly about to clash. Their eyes were sparking with intensity, and it seemed like they would tear the place apart any moment. It was at that point that Lorcha had to intervene.

“You two, that’s enough of the fighting.”

“This is none of your business.”

Iris and Glacies said in unison as they glared at Lorcha, causing her to frown in anger. It was clear that she was very upset.

“Haha… I’m about to get really angry, so stop now… Please. I really don’t want to get angry, so… stop the fight.”

But Iris and Glacies were ignoring Lorcha and continued glaring at each other. Being completely ignored, Lorcha couldn’t hold it in anymore.

“Hahaha… I was trying to let it go, but these little brats are disrespecting me…?”

A massive amount of mana began to swirl around her, and the atmosphere grew chilling, yet not in a way that felt like freezing cold; it was more like a strange, tingling sensation. The mana surrounding her felt almost moist on the skin. Once again, Lorcha was different.

Though her talent wasn’t as great as Werner’s, she was still a genius of the century. And even when Werner had fallen into despair, she had been constantly working to improve herself… It was natural that she was powerful. She had even secured a position as a Mage Tower Master at such a young age, which proved she wasn’t just any ordinary talent.

“Spirits of water, imprison these rude and arrogant ones.”

Water spirits surged around Glacies and Iris, and soon, huge water bubbles formed, trapping them. Both of them were clearly confused, not knowing what was going on.

Iris tried to break free using magic, while Glacies attempted to use her sword. But neither worked. The water absorbed magic, and no matter how much the sword slashed, it couldn’t break through.

“I’ve only imprisoned you for now… Should I fill that prison with water and drown you? Or perhaps release water spirits in the shape of sharks and turn you into shark food?”

“Lorcha…”

“Do I look funny because I’m saying this with a smile? This is why you kids…”

Lorcha was completely enraged and seemed ready to harm Iris and Glacies.

“Stop, Lorcha. They’ve probably reflected enough. Let them go.”

“Hahaha… This is just a lesson. What’s wrong with my teaching? We always did this kind of etiquette training at my house.”

“Stop it.”

“The ones who ignored my warning first were these little brats. So…”

Lorcha continued as if there was nothing wrong with what she was doing, but I couldn’t help but respond with a dangerous tone.

“… Stop it.”

“What’s that voice? Are you trying to challenge me or something?”

“If necessary, I wouldn’t hold back.”

“Why do you always do this to me? Back then… Back then, we…”

Lorcha, with a voice filled with frustration, couldn’t finish her words and turned her back. As soon as she turned, the water prison disappeared. Lorcha, still furious, stormed out.

“Hah, hah…”

Inside the water prison, the two were breathing heavily, likely overwhelmed by the massive amount of mana. It was clear that they were exhausted from the pressure of being trapped in a spell cast by a mage of the Mage Tower Master level.

“Iris, when Lorcha returns, make sure to apologize. It would be good if you, too, Glacies, apologize when she comes back.”

“But, Master…”

“Werner, I…”

I followed Lorcha out the door and said,

“No matter what anyone says, she is my recognized close friend. If anyone continues to treat her rudely… I will choose my friend over them and have nothing to do with those rude people.”

At least Werner held Lorcha as a precious friend. If it had been Lorcha in danger instead of Iris, Werner would have thrown himself into danger without hesitation.

And since Iris and Glacies were fundamentally kind people, I had no doubt they would get along with Lorcha, even though there might be some minor friction due to their personalities.

.

.

.

I began looking for Lorcha outside. But despite my efforts, I couldn’t find her anywhere. It was getting dark, and I had heard that the local security wasn’t very good, which made me even more worried.

Moreover, Lorcha was a beauty by nature, so there would likely be many scoundrels trying to approach her.

Damn, those punks could be dangerous. There was no need to worry about Lorcha herself. After all, she was a Mage Tower Master, so she wouldn’t easily be harmed. The real concern was that she was in a really bad mood, and she might kill someone just for talking to her.

Maybe the good-for-nothing punks who didn’t kill but lived by extorting people would die.

“Lorcha! I just want to talk to you!”

No response, no matter how much I shouted. Even though I had chased after her immediately, I couldn’t even see a glimpse of her. It was like trying to catch a ghost. I started running around the entire street, searching desperately.

During that time, I accidentally bumped into some people. Of course, it was my fault for running around, so I quickly apologized.

“I’m sorry. I was in a hurry because I’m looking for someone, so I made a mistake.”

But when I took a closer look at the person I bumped into… What the hell, are these bandits? What’s with their faces? They looked less like people and more like a bunch of gorillas. The one who seemed to be the leader of this gorilla gang spoke.

“What, you think you can just apologize after hitting someone? We’re people who live off our bodies, so are you going to take responsibility if we get hurt?”

What a bothersome bunch. But since I was in a hurry, I took a gold coin from my pocket and tossed it to them.

“Is this enough?”

But my expectation was wrong. As soon as the gorillas saw the gold coin, their eyes lit up, and they blocked my way.

“What, you think you can just wipe your mouth with a coin after hitting someone? Give us everything you’ve got. Or, how about you call your lover here to deal with us?”

These horny male gorillas…

“If you step aside now, I’ll let you go. So get out of the way.”

“Heh, has this guy lost his mind? Do you even know who we are?”

“Do you know who I am? You don’t know me, so how could I know you, you idiot?”

“I’m someone who holds an important position in the miners’ union. I can make you disappear without a trace, understand?”

So Count Halstead’s words were true. It really was these rotten people who were running the union…

This was also Count Halstead’s fault. He didn’t suppress trash like this and even approved their demands.

“What are you laughing at? Do you want to die today?”

The gorilla gang started pulling knives from their pockets. Gorillas using weapons? Looks like these bastards have evolved.

“Ha… These gorillas must be out of their minds if they want to die.”

As Charles Darwin once said, inferior species that don’t know how to survive are naturally eliminated by nature. Humans, too, evolved from gorillas, and through evolution, we became the humans we are today.

So, if I, a fully evolved human, were to kill these inferior gorilla bastards, it would simply be following the laws of nature.

To prove Charles Darwin’s theory, I would kill these bastards and award myself the Darwin Award.
