I have a wildlife zoo

Chapter 244: People Looking Up, Horses Overturned

There were a total of two police officers who arrived here, Su Ning and his partner Hong.

After receiving the order from his superiors, Su Ning asked the surrounding onlookers, "Does anyone have a net?"

The people around looked at each other, shaking their heads, "No net here."

A person who looked like a shop owner said, "Hey, I have some woven bags in my store that I use for packing stuff. They're pretty sturdy. Can you use them?"

Having any tool at hand was good enough, and Su Ning quickly nodded, "Woven bags will do!"

"Okay, I'll bring them to you!"

The shop owner hurried back into his store and came back two minutes later with a woven bag, gasping for breath as he handed it over, "Good luck!"

"You got this! You got this!"

"Wishing the comrades of the police force success in your mission!"

The crowd cheered them on with waves and high spirits.

There was also a passerby in a security guard uniform, seemingly a security guard from a nearby mall, who enthusiastically raised his arm and swung it wildly, looking eager to try, "Comrade officer, let me join you in catching the wild pig. I'm sure I can be of help!"

If it was a regular bystander asking, Su Ning would have definitely refused without hesitation.

But seeing that this was a security guard, who also protected public safety, and considering that a security guard should have better physical fitness than the average person,

Pigs are very strong. Su Ning remembered seeing pigs being slaughtered in the countryside when he was a kid, loud squeals and struggles, requiring several strong men to hold them down. A wild pig might be even more ferocious.

Thinking this, he felt that just he and his partner Hong trying to catch a wild pig wasn't very reliable. Adding another person could make it more certain, so he nodded and said, "Alright, follow us then."

They asked the KTV owner to unlock the door, and Su Ning directed, "Once we're in, lock it back up so it doesn't run out later."

"Sure thing!" The KTV owner nodded quickly.

The three of them went in!

Carrying the woven bag, Su Ning's mind whirred, and he quietly discussed tactics with the two others, "Let's be quiet, walk softly, and see where the pig is without alarming it. The space in this KTV is quite small. We can prop the sack at the exit, and maybe it will bolt straight into it in a panic."

Hong nodded without saying a word, signaling he understood!

The security guard's eyes shone with excitement. He had once wanted to be a policeman but never made it. Now, by catching a wild pig, he could get a taste of the thrill of capturing a criminal. He whispered, "I've seen on TV that they always give operations a name. Let's call this mission 'Lure Pig into Trap'!"

Su Ning was speechless. If you're going to help, just help—why all this drama?

Not wanting to engage with him, he first checked the counter and then slowly pulled himself up to look behind it.

There was no sign of the wild pig, so they moved forward cautiously and quietly.

As they rounded the corner and peered out slowly, there was no pig in the hallway, but the door of one of the rooms seemed to be open.

Could the pig be in this room?

They walked over softly, sticking close to the wall, and Su Ning peeked inside.

Indeed! The wild pig was roaming inside, making "hrumph, hrumph" snorting sounds.

Just as he crouched down to spread open the woven bag, the wild pig saw them, got startled, and charged toward the doorway!

The pig charged with full force!

There's always a gap between ideals and reality. The wild pig leapt up, knocked Su Ning aside with a rush to the hallway, and the 'Lure Pig into Trap' strategy immediately fell apart.

The security guard excitedly positioned himself in front of the wild pig. His hobbies were watching TV dramas and football, and at that moment, he felt as though all the great goalkeepers in history had possessed him, with strength surging from within!

Leaning forward in a defensive dive, he shouted, "I'm on it!"

"Humph, humph!"

The wild boar accelerated and charged through, striking the security guard's right leg with a forceful blow. He instantly lost his balance, instinctively reaching out to steady himself against the wall. His body spun in mid-air, and the world whirled around him before he landed back on the ground with a thump.

He rubbed his leg and buttocks, wincing in pain: "Ouch!"

Hong and the guard had been trying to block the boar in the hallway, one to the left and one to the right. But he hadn't expected the boar to be so powerful, breaking through the guard's defense. Without time to think, he threw himself onto the boar, hugging it tightly.

"Aaaaah! Aaaaaah!"

The boar looked terrified, emitting a shriek like that of a slaughtering pig. It thrashed wildly like a fish out of water, managing to fling Hong aside, before kicking up its hoofs and dashing off with a whoosh.

The scene was simply chaotic!

Although it sounds prolonged, from the moment it noticed Su Ning until it broke through the line and escaped, it all happened in the blink of an eye.

"Quick, chase it!"

"Don't let it get away!"

Su Ning and the others picked themselves up from the ground and chased after the boar.

The crowd outside the main door, who had been enjoying the spectacle, stared through the glass door as they saw a wild boar race past, followed by police and security guards with gritted teeth and fierce expressions as they chased it out of sight, mouth agape in shock.

"How come capturing a pig feels so intense?"

"Whoa! This is even more exciting than 'Boruto'!"

The KTV manager suddenly smacked his forehead in regret, "Oh no, I messed up!"

"What happened?" the person beside him asked immediately.

"That direction leads to our kitchen! The back door of the kitchen is usually open, leading to the residential area."

"Ah, this..."

The alley in the kitchen was quite narrow, causing Su Ning and his group to slow down, unable to coordinate their chase properly.

As they reached the outside, they saw the boar dashing away agilely, leaping over the railing and into the greenery of the residential area.

In the residential area, a child swinging on a swing suddenly stretched out a little finger and pointed, "Mama, look, a pig!"

"A pig? How could there be a pig? Baby, you must have seen it wrong..."

The woman was still speaking when she saw a very fast pig rush by in front of her like a Black Whirlwind, grunting as it went.

Behind it were several police officers, shouting, "Stop running! Stand still!"

Her head buzzed in confusion: "It really is a pig? How did a pig get here?"

After running a few hundred more meters, the security guard was panting heavily with his mouth wide open, his pace slowing down, "Officer, you guys keep going, I've got no energy left..."

Watching their figures racing into the distance, he used his last bit of strength to yell, "Keep it up!"

Su Ning and Hong chased for a little while longer, but when they saw they couldn't catch up, Su Ning had a bad feeling and stopped.

Hong asked, "What's wrong, Su Ning, aren't we chasing anymore?"

Su Ning said morosely, "That wild boar is too strong. Even if we catch up, we won't be able to hold it, and what if it charges at someone while we're chasing it? Ah, we just missed the best opportunity. Let's wait for the zoo's reinforcement and just keep an eye on the situation from behind and manage the crowd. I'll make a phone call."

Finding that no one was chasing it anymore, and feeling tired from all the running, the wild boar slipped into a bush in the green belt and hid itself.
