I Got Killer Queen in Hunter x Hunter ?!

Chapter 213: Hisoka VS Nobunaga

The area where Nobunaga and Hisoka faced off was cluttered with shipping containers—perfect hiding spots for Hisoka.

Nobunaga had already activated his En the moment his hand touched the katana hilt.

His En had a fixed radius of five meters—just enough to cover the warehouse entrance behind him.

Standing there meant that no one could leave the warehouse without him knowing.

This five-meter En wasn't just a detection range; it was also a self-imposed limitation, the furthest reach of his katana.

A vow and restriction, similar to how Joey had linked Weather Report's range to his En.

The difference: Nobunaga's En was permanently fixed at five meters, while Joey's expanded with training.

But in both cases, over time, their Nen abilities became more potent.

Within this radius, Nobunaga's swordsmanship reached microscopic precision.

Even a fly that entered his En could have its wings sliced off without harming its body.

This was why Nobunaga specialized in defensive counterattacks.

So Hisoka hiding in this environment posed no threat.

In fact, it was the situation most advantageous to Nobunaga.

And that's precisely why Nobunaga was pissed.

He knew what Hisoka was doing—deliberately hiding, knowing Nobunaga wouldn't move first.

It was a provocation.

A blatant message: "I'll defeat you in your strongest domain."

As former Troupe comrades who had once fought side by side, Hisoka understood Nobunaga's fighting style.

If he truly wanted a one-on-one fight, there was no reason to hide.

But he did it anyway.

Hisoka wanted to defeat Nobunaga on his turf.

And Nobunaga couldn't charge recklessly—not without falling into Hisoka's trap.

If he left this zone, Hisoka could escape the warehouse entirely.

So he stayed.

Waited.

Unable to pursue. Unable to act.

Only to wait for Hisoka's move.

This helplessness made Nobunaga's blood boil.

Hisoka's retreat and concealment had created immense psychological pressure.

Time passed slowly in the standoff.

It almost felt like Hisoka had already left.

But Nobunaga knew—this was a battle of patience.

Hisoka would break first.

He had to.

After all, there were still three other Troupe members in the warehouse.

If Hisoka delayed too long, he'd be surrounded.

Escape would be impossible.

But another concern crept in—

Was Hisoka really alone?

Could Joey be nearby, making this a two-on-one?

Even more?

There was also the one who could control insects and animals…

Judging from what Joey had shown, if he and Hisoka teamed up, Nobunaga knew he'd be overwhelmed.

"Is this really the time to lose focus?"

Suddenly, something entered his five-meter En.

Nobunaga reacted instantly—his blade flashed as he turned.

The strike landed—

But Hisoka, the one he sliced open, wore not a grimace, but a mocking smile.

What the—?

Before he could process it, a fist smashed into his back.

Another Hisoka?

A clone?

Nobunaga immediately thought of the lizardman.

But he'd already killed that guy.

So then—

Could Hisoka himself use clones?

It had to be.

With Hisoka's pride and love for combat, there's no way he'd allow a multi-on-one fight.

If the clones were involved, they had to be his own ability.

Rubber-like Nen—had he used that to make a double?

Nobunaga realized—Hisoka's retreat wasn't just mind games.

It was all part of his tactical setup.

Blood spilled from the corner of Nobunaga's mouth, but his blade was already slicing again as he spun.

Only—there was no Hisoka behind him anymore.

Even Hisoka's aura had disappeared from the En.

He had landed a blow… and retreated again, out of range.

What a pain in the ass.

And his timing was perfect—exploiting the brief rigidity in Nobunaga's body after every swing.

Nobunaga steadied his stance and eyed the "corpse" of the clone he had first cut down.

It didn't vanish.

It remained on the floor.

And it still had aura.

Nen from Hisoka.

A trap.

He instantly felt a force on his back—dragging him toward the fallen clone.

At the same time, another Hisoka entered his En.

He couldn't tell—clone or real?

Identical aura, outfit, everything.

Nobunaga realized the pull was from the Nen that Hisoka had left on him with the punch.

It was connected—one line to Hisoka, the other to the fallen "corpse."

With his sharpened eyes, he could now see it:

Nen strings connected from his body to the "corpse," invisible by In.

And the other end?

Exactly what he suspected—linked to the incoming Hisoka.

Nobunaga drew again—this time not a pure draw-slash, but an angled swing that severed the pink aura from his back.

Then, mid-swing, he unleashed an Emission-style slash at the charging Hisoka.

But in that same instant—another Hisoka appeared in his En.

This one aimed straight for his gut.

Nobunaga caught the smirk on his face—but his own eyes glinted as well.

The first Hisoka was likely bait.

By attacking, he was baiting Nobunaga to draw.

And once the blade was out—during that 0.3 second window of stiffness—that's when the real attack came.

It was clever.

Nobunaga respected the timing.

He couldn't have done it himself—not in the chaos of battle.

But now he saw through it.

So this time, when he used an emission slash, he followed it up with a Reinforcement-style slash.

Even if it was only half the power of his full-strength attack, it was enough to block Hisoka.

And if Hisoka was foolish enough to be the first one, then he'd eat that slash.

From Nobunaga's perspective—

He had taken back control.

Spurt.

Blood sprayed.

Nobunaga frowned.

The second Hisoka—just like the first—was cleanly bisected.

Another clone!

The first Hisoka was the real one.

Too late.

Nobunaga couldn't swing again.

And then—he saw it.

Just like with Joey—Hisoka sacrificed an arm to block the slash.

Blood sprayed.

And he was already in close.

With just his left arm, Hisoka drove his hand into Nobunaga's abdomen.

"Eh?"

Hisoka voiced surprise as he leapt back.

Even so, a thin, shallow wound opened on his chest.

"I missed?"

He glanced down at his wound, then at Nobunaga's blade.

"You hesitated during your second swing."

That was Hisoka's read.

Only that would explain how Nobunaga had just enough movement to adjust and counter.

But… why had Nobunaga hesitated?

"You really don't hold back," Nobunaga muttered, glaring at the severed arm.

Fury simmered in his eyes.

But before it could boil—

Hisoka waved.

A pink string of Nen pulled the severed arm back to him.

He pressed it against the bloody stump—

And re-attached it.

He flexed his newly restored arm, perfectly functional.

"What were you saying?"

Nobunaga's face turned pale.

His breathing grew ragged.

Still—he dropped into another iaido stance.

Hisoka smiled, lips curling.

"What a tasty one—even if a bit soft."

He walked forward—right into Nobunaga's En.

In that instant—light flashed at Hisoka's throat.

Nobunaga's draw-slash.

But Hisoka merely paused—then continued walking.

Nobunaga, unbeknownst to him, had already stumbled back—

Blood pouring from his mouth.

"I set something up inside your wound.

Your range is five meters, and your power depends on one-hit kill strikes.

So if I can use Bungee Gum to yank you back—

You'll never reach me."

"…Looks like I lost," Nobunaga whispered, wiping blood from his mouth.

Only frustration in his eyes.

"Yep~ I expected you to last ten minutes.

You only gave me seven.

That leaves me with eight minutes:

Five to catch up with Joey,

Three to kill you."

Hisoka now stood calmly in front of him.

"So Joey really is working with you… I just don't get it.

How does someone like you have allies?"

Nobunaga sheathed his sword.

His En disappeared.

"'Allies'? No, just mutual benefits.

You guys never should've messed with him.

Then again, the Troupe never listens to advice."

Hisoka shrugged.

A new clone appeared beside him.

The two bisected corpses on the ground also vanished.

Hisoka could only make one clone at a time—

But he'd added a layer of Texture Surprise to the surface.

So even when the clone died, the illusion lingered—making it look like a corpse remained.

The real Bungee Gum had been attached to the ground where the body fell, not the body itself.

Visually, there was no difference.

A minor trick, meant to confuse—so he could better set his traps.

Nobunaga stared at the ground—he'd finally caught the trick.

But he still didn't get how Hisoka gained clone ability.

Hisoka didn't bother explaining.

If Chrollo could borrow his comrades' powers, then Hisoka borrowing a clone ability to fight the Troupe?

That was just karma.

Hisoka's eyes drifted upward—to a hawk perched silently on a container.

So Joey was watching.

Just as Hisoka had guessed, the hawk spread its wings and flew into the warehouse.

"In a rush, are we?"

Hisoka chuckled, glancing back at Nobunaga.

Then—he and his clone attacked.

Joey watched from his phone screen, hand to chin.

As expected—Hisoka was making great use of the clone ability.

Joey himself had no real combat synergy with his clones.

Hisoka, meanwhile, was executing perfect feints.

Nobunaga's weakness was also more glaring than Joey had imagined.

Yes, his strikes were lethal.

But his five-meter range? A prison of his own making.

Against regular foes, he'd dominate.

But against someone like Hisoka or Joey?

He was caging himself in.

Joey thought of his own Weather Report.

Fifty-meter En.

If that was a cage…

He'd only keep making it bigger.
