I Choose In The One Piece Class, Do I Have A Choice?

Chapter 24: Supercilious!

Bogart almost choked on his food, desperately trying to hold back laughter. Who on earth has a grandson that puts his grandpa in such a tough spot?

Garp's face twisted in frustration, while Bogart struggled to keep his composure. Tashigi covered her mouth, shaking with silent laughter, and Nami burst out laughing uncontrollably.

Finn, with a seemingly innocent expression, urged Garp earnestly, "Grandpa, come on, say something! People might actually start thinking you're just here for the food and not the action!"

Garp's anger simmered just below the surface. If it weren't for the fact that this was his grandson…

No. Scratch that. If this grandson of mine wasn't so determined to become a Marine, I'd knock some sense into him right now!

But, recognizing that Finn was the only grandchild who shared his passion for the Marines, Garp swallowed his anger.

He turned to Cobra and said, "Yes, Your Majesty Cobra, the Marines will handle this. It's our duty!"

"Vice Admiral, but—"

"No buts! This is a serious crime! Kidnapping a princess is no small matter, and the Marines will see to it personally," Garp declared with finality.

"Yes! We've got this covered!" Finn chimed in.

Cobra realized that refusing further would only raise suspicion. Reluctantly, he expressed his gratitude, "Thank you very much."

Ding! The system's notification rang out: "Congratulations! You have received the following rewards: Byakugan (superior eyesight)! 10,000 bottles of 1982 Lafite! 10,000 Michelin three-star meals!"

As the notification echoed in Finn's mind, he felt a strange tingling in his eyes. The sensation passed quickly, leaving behind a flood of new abilities.

He now possessed three key powers:

Telescope Vision: By focusing chakra into his eyes, he could see up to a kilometer away.X-Ray Vision: This ability allowed him to see through solid objects and even observe the energy flow within others.360-Degree Vision: With no blind spots, he had a complete field of view, which was crucial for absolute defense.

Finn was thrilled, but… "System, I thought the Byakugan had more abilities? Where are the rest?"

The system responded, "Host, this reward is for a basic Byakugan, so only these three abilities are included."

Basic?

Alright then, basic it is.

Even so, these abilities were impressive. Particularly the 360-degree vision… and those x-ray eyes…

Finn glanced at Nami, who was eagerly devouring her meal, then at Tashigi, who was eating with much more decorum.

Hiss~!

This ability is amazing!

"Master Finn! Are you okay? You're bleeding from your nose!" Tashigi, noticing Finn's strange expression and the blood trickling from his nostrils, asked with concern.

"Oh, it's nothing~"

Though Byakugan's power was a secret that no one else could detect, Finn, guilty of using his new abilities, quickly looked away.

"Is it really okay? Let me check!" Despite her own preoccupation with the food, Nami was instantly by Finn's side, her concern evident.

Whoa!

Seeing Nami up close, Finn felt lightheaded.

"Ah! Master Finn, you're bleeding even more!" Nami exclaimed in worry, grabbing a napkin to dab at his nose.

Finn took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. "It's fine, really. I just need to get used to it."

This Byakugan is intense! Once I get the hang of it, I'll be fine.

However, to everyone else, his words took on a different meaning.

"Get used to it?"

The group exchanged worried glances. Is he really saying he needs to get used to… nosebleeds?

The looks they gave him were filled with concern, almost as if they were dealing with a troubled child.

"…"

Oh, for crying out loud! Finn realized he'd been misunderstood, but there was no easy way to explain it now.

After the banquet, Garp ordered the Marines to set up camp in Alabasta. He assigned half the force to assist in the search for Princess Vivi.

Finn, Nami, and Tashigi exited the palace together.

"Master Finn, I think we should help search for the princess too!" Tashigi, always driven by her sense of justice, suggested immediately.

"I agree! If we find the princess, King Cobra might be so grateful he'll reward us with a huge sum of money!" Nami chimed in, her eyes gleaming at the thought of Berries.

"…"

Finn rolled his eyes at Nami's relentless focus on money, but there was no denying her enthusiasm.

"You both make good points. But first, I need to eat something. I'm starving," Finn rubbed his stomach, which growled loudly in agreement.

Nami giggled.

Tashigi smiled politely, "But Master Finn, there were so many delicious dishes at the banquet. Why didn't you eat?"

"Yeah, I don't know if I'll ever get to eat such fine food again! I'm stuffed! Hic!" Nami added with a hiccup.

Now that he had 10,000 Michelin-starred meals at his disposal, Finn felt confident enough to explain.

With a grin, he shook his head slightly and said, "Because that food was actually pretty terrible!"

"Huh?"

Nami's mouth fell open in disbelief, her cheeks puffing out in a mixture of annoyance and confusion.

What the…

Here I am, completely stuffed, and now you're telling me the food was bad?
