Chapter 8: Hunting
According to Jay's estimated time, the system would take a few seconds to copy his uncle's hunting skill, and he couldn't stay away from him during the process.
Luckily, he moved quickly and felt relieved after the copying was complete.
"Hey... why are you in a daze?" his uncle asked, seeing his nephew, who had been quiet and now looked happy and surprised.
"Ahhh... ,uncle... I was just a little distracted," Jay replied again.
"Then hurry home. I'm giving your family a rabbit," the uncle replied again, urging Jay to return home.
"Okay, uncle, then Jay will take his leave, and thank you for the rabbit." Jay said his goodbyes and quickly ran back to his house, impatient to use the hunting skill he had copied from his uncle.
Watching Jay's quick departure, his uncle simply smiled and walked back to his house.

Upon Jay's return home, he greeted his family and hurried to his room.
"Mom and Dad, I'm back..." Jay greeted his family.
"Oh... are you home? What did your grandfather say?" his mother asked Jay.
But Jay, impatient, immediately said, "Mom, Grandpa said thank you, and I'm feeling sleepy," pretending to yawn.
Hearing Jay's answer, his mother quickly said, "Okay, you should go to your room and rest." His mother replied, feeling a little worried. Although she knew her son was fine, as a mother, she still felt worried.
"Hmm," Jay replied again and went into his room.
In his room, Jay quickly entered and quickly closed the door.
(System: Are there any side effects when merging skills?) Before Jay merged the skills he had acquired, he asked the system first.
He was worried that there might be side effects from merging the skills he had acquired.
[No side effects, host can rest assured.] The system replied.
(Good, then let's merge the hunting skills.) Jay ordered.
[Starting to install the hunting skills on the host.]
The skill has been successfully integrated into the host's body.] the system replied.
(Wow… no strange feeling, it's like I just closed my eyes.) Jay said in amazement.
(The system displays my status.) Then Jay asked the system to display his status.
[Status
Name: Jay William
Age: 15 years old
Strength: 3 / 1 normal adult
Agility: 2 / 1 normal adult
Intelligence: 2 / 1 normal adult
Height: 167 cm
Skills: Advanced running / Beginner climbing / Beginner farming / Master hunting.]
(Okay… okay… that's a pretty good status!!) Jay was quite satisfied with his current status.
(System, when will I have the chance to copy another skill?) Jay asked quickly.
[The host can copy the skill next week.] the system replied again.
(There's still a week to go, what a shame…)
######
The next morning, Jay woke up to the fragrant aroma of stir-fried meat.
"Ummm…it smells so good!!" Jay felt hungry as he walked into the kitchen.
"Mom…what are you cooking?" Jay asked his mother, who was currently busy in the kitchen, assisted by Nining.
"Oh, you're awake," his mother replied.
"Go get cleaned up, and let's have breakfast together later," his mother instructed.
"Okay…" Jay replied, heading to the bathroom in the backyard.
While cleaning himself in the bathroom, Jay saw his father busy watering the plants in the backyard.
Quickly cleaning himself, Jay approached his father and said, "Dad, let me help you. Hurry up and get cleaned up and ready for breakfast," Jay said to his father.
"Oh, are you sure? There's still half the garden to water," his father asked Jay.
"Don't worry, Dad. I can definitely finish it quickly," Jay said confidently. With his current strength, watering a garden that's only a few hundred meters wide was a joke.
"Okay, then let's go see," his father replied, but didn't leave immediately, wanting to see for himself how capable Jay was of what he'd claimed.
Knowing his father doubted his strength, Jay stopped talking and immediately demonstrated his strength.
He lifted two large buckets filled with water and quickly began watering his garden.
The father, watching Jay's actions, was both surprised and amazed, as he hadn't expected his son to be so strong.
In the end, the watering process was quick, and Jay completed it easily.
"How easy is that?" Jay replied, slightly arrogant.
"If I hadn't seen it for myself, I wouldn't have believed your abilities," his father praised Jay.
His father then said with a smile, "Then, since you're strong now, come work in the rice fields with me today," his father said with a smile.
"Ahhhh... Dad... I... I still want to rest for another day," Jay pleaded pitifully.
"No... you're strong now... let's hurry back home and have breakfast!" his father replied, dragging Jay back home for breakfast.
####
Under the blazing sun, dozens of people of various ages were busy weeding the yellowing rice paddies.
Among them was a young figure who seemed to move quickly.
He was weeding at a speed superior to some adults, which naturally amazed the others.
"Hey... what did your son Paul eat? Why is he working so fast?" a man in his early 40s asked Jay's father.
"I don't know either, but after he woke up, he seemed stronger," Jay's father replied in response to a question from another villager.
"Uncle, I'm done," Jay said quickly to a middle-aged man in his 50s who looked a little overweight.
"That was fast… let me check it first," the man replied.
After a few moments of checking Jay's work, he was surprised and exclaimed.
"You're really good, Jay. You work very fast. This is another strong farmer," the man praised.
"Since you've finished your work, you're free to do whatever you want," the man replied.
"Thank you, Uncle Rio. I'll be going now." Jay happily left the rice field.
"Hey… he's still so energetic," said the man Jay called Uncle Rio with a smile.
"It's only a little before 9, and look, Paul, your son, has already finished his work so quickly," the man Jay's father spoke to said helplessly and full of praise.
"Haha, haaa… don't think he's just a naughty kid. Can't he help his father after finishing this job?" Paul said in a dissatisfied tone, but with a wide smile on his lips.
"Hey... look at your smile, you're such a hypocrite, Paul," the man replied disapprovingly.
"Come on... come on... stop talking so much, Renald. We can't lose to that brat!" Jay's father said again, then happily continued his work.
Meanwhile, Jay, who had left the rice paddy area, immediately rushed back to the house to get some tools.
He had been impatient to go to the back mountain, but he didn't want to delay any longer after several delays.
Upon returning home, Jay saw Nining playing with some friends.
Seeing her brother return so quickly, Nining became curious and asked, "Why are you home now?" Nining asked, surprised.
"Ah... Nining, continue playing. I have something to do," Jay replied quickly.
Just as Nining was about to reply, Nining heard her friend calling out to her.
"It's your turn now, Nining!" her friend shouted at her.
