I am Harry Potter's Cousin, Big D

Chapter 65: Chapter 65: I, Dudley, Love to Say "NO" to Self-Righteous People

"Good question!"

Why they ended up here was something Dudley also really wanted to know. He was one hundred percent sure he had followed the exact route they had taken to get here, and there was absolutely no way he could have made a mistake.

On the one hand, it was because Dudley was confident in his memory, and on the other hand, this was the one and only staircase leading from the trophy room on the third floor to the Gryffindor common room.

It was very clear that when the few of them entered the trophy room, the position of the staircase had changed. The staircase that originally led to Gryffindor had been moved directly to the corridor on the fourth floor, which was restricted.

"Want to go over?"

Although Harry was asking, in reality, he was itching to go and investigate. Ever since Dumbledore mentioned this place, he had been very curious about it, and had only given up because he hadn't had the opportunity. Now that they just happened to be here, if they didn't take this corridor, they probably wouldn't be able to get back to Gryffindor, right? Could this be fate?

Curiosity killed the cat.

Well, lions are also felines.

Fate, my foot!

Dudley scoffed. Where in the world are there so many coincidences? Dudley would not fall for such an obviously problematic situation.

Turning his head, he said to the others, "Come with me to the Slytherin common room." Anyway, there were enough rooms in the Slytherin dormitory, and adding three more people was no big deal. And the Slytherin common room was downstairs; they just needed to go back the way they came, taking the stairs downwards.

"Look, the way back is gone?"

Malfoy's panicked voice sounded from behind them, and the few of them quickly turned to look, only to see that the bottom of the stairs was empty, the end of the staircase was already suspended in mid-air, and there was no way back.

Dudley: "..."

If they didn't consider taking the corridor on the fourth floor now, then they could only wait for the stairs to slowly turn and connect to other places, but they didn't know how long they would have to wait, maybe it wouldn't change until dawn.

Dudley smiled disdainfully: "No matter what the purpose is, but I, Dudley Dursley..."

"...most like to say 'NO' to those who think they know it all!"

"Hermione, hold on tight."

Hermione: "?"

Accompanied by a low growl, Dudley wrapped his right arm around Hermione's waist, quickly stepped onto the edge of the stairs, pushed off with his feet, and leaped up, and amidst Hermione's screams, Dudley jumped directly onto the nearest staircase to them.

The entire process was very smooth, taking less than three seconds.

Having done all this, Dudley jumped back like an ape, and Malfoy, Harry, and Ron were brought onto the stairs by him one after another, like carrying little chicks.

It seemed like a simple jump, but in reality, the two staircases were at least a dozen meters apart.

"You scared me to death, tell me in advance next time."

Hermione's face was slightly pale, and she complained very dissatisfiedly, hitting his chest with her little fists.

Ron was also badly frightened, his face even paler, but you couldn't expect him to complain to Dudley, he certainly wouldn't dare.

That was exciting!

Harry and Malfoy were slightly better, but they were also scared, but after the excitement, the two of them were vaguely a little thrilled.

"Now we can continue."

Dudley clapped his hands and motioned for the others to continue towards the Gryffindor common room.

Harry looked back at the corridor behind him with a little regret. Honestly, he personally really wanted to go and see.

However, they had already reached the stairs on the fifth floor, and no matter how the stairs changed, it was impossible to get to the fourth floor, unless they actively walked down or the stairs turned around.

"Meow~ ~"

Just as they were about to pass through the corridor, a sudden meow directly sent Harry and the others' hearts into their throats.

A bone-thin, dark gray cat appeared at the end of the corridor, walking with elegant steps. It was watching the few of them with its bulbous eyes like light bulbs.

"Bad! It's Mrs. Norris!"

Ron cried out in surprise, obviously recognizing the cat's identity. There was only one such cat in the entire Hogwarts, and that was the one kept by the caretaker, Filch. Mrs. Norris being here meant that Filch was definitely not far away, and as soon as the cat called out, Filch would rush over very quickly. They would definitely be caught!

"It's over, we're dead this time!"

Ron let out a desperate low growl. He didn't know if it was his illusion, but he seemed to see Mrs. Norris's mouth slightly raised, smiling. It was actually smiling! Was it mocking them for being about to be caught? It must be.

"We can go back and find a place to hide on the fourth floor."

Malfoy's reaction was faster and calmer than Ron's, and he immediately thought of a solution. Even if Filch was nearby, it would take some time for him to hear Mrs. Norris's meow and rush over. As long as they seized this time gap and took the opportunity to return to the fourth floor, there was still hope of finding a place to hide. As for whether it was restricted or not, it didn't matter now. For their current situation, not getting caught was the most important thing.

Hermione was also a little panicked, nervously gripping her wand so tightly that her knuckles were turning white. She kept thinking about what spell she could use to solve the current problem in her mind.

Give it a Full Body-Bind Curse?

Just when the other young wizards were at a loss, Dudley made another unexpected move. Not only did he have no intention of running away, but he also bent down, waved gently at Mrs. Norris, and even made strange sounds in his throat.

Because they were some distance apart, Ron didn't hear too clearly, only feeling like it was some kind of... purring?

Has he gone crazy?

However, a jaw-dropping scene appeared. Not only did Mrs. Norris not call out to Filch immediately, but under Dudley's call, she quickly ran to his side and began rubbing herself against Dudley's trouser legs back and forth, seeming to be... perhaps... trying to please Dudley?

"Ten pieces? You're too greedy."

Hermione, who was closest to Dudley, vaguely heard him seem to be whispering something. To Mrs. Norris?

Talking to a cat? How is that possible?

This was Hermione's first reaction. However, after a second thought, they were in the magical world, so what was impossible? Cat-speakers, although not many were recorded in history, did exist.

When Malfoy and Ron saw that there was a turn for the better, they were so excited that they were about to embrace each other, but just as they were about to touch, they suddenly reacted, bounced away as if electrocuted, and began to retch while holding onto the staircase railing.

Soon, under their gaze, Mrs. Norris, who was aloof, sinister, cunning, and rotten to the core in the eyes of other young wizards, and who never accepted any young wizard's feeding and only followed Filch, actually lay directly in front of Dudley, rolling back and forth on the ground, constantly making 'purring, purring' sounds in her throat, and even exposing her soft belly.

This... was this acting cute?
