I Am Hades, The supreme GOD of the Underworld!

"But," Europa whispered, "the time has not yet come."

She softly stroked her abdomen, a maternal warmth glowing in her gaze, so tender that it was almost blinding.

Indeed, even in the chaotic world of the Greek pantheon, the birth of a child stirred a mother's pure affection. No matter the circumstances, this maternal love was unwavering.

Europa caressed her stomach gently and walked away with a serene smile.

Although Europa was now the Earth Ruler of the Underworld, her involvement in her duties was minimal outside of routine tasks.

This was not unusual. Just like Aether, the Ruler of the Astral Realm, she only needed to step in if something went wrong with the realm's functioning. Otherwise, it was far more important for each ruler to focus on their steady personal growth.

In fact, the Astral Realm and the Earth Realm didn't require constant attention from Aether or Europa.

This was due to the presence of the World Tree within the Underworld, the true core and essence of the realm's power.

The Mythological World, unlike the Underworld, lacked sentience. It was like a machine following fixed rules, operating without intelligence or emotion, executing its functions step by step in a rigid, formulaic manner.

This automated nature of the Mythological World was precisely why Gaia's schemes had been so successful; it lacked the intelligence to recognize or counteract such maneuvers. 

The Underworld, on the other hand, was different. Hades meticulously managed every aspect, ensuring that no such vulnerabilities existed.

Given this, could issues arise in the Underworld?

Obviously not. A simple consideration would reveal that, while the Mythological World operated mechanically, the Underworld was under Hades's wise and deliberate oversight, creating an immense disparity between the two.

Consequently, the Underworld did not require constant intervention from its rulers like the Astral and Earth Realms, as such maintenance was unnecessary.

Europa returned to the Earthly Underworld, a sub-realm within the Underworld that emerged upon her ascension to God-King status, awaiting the birth of her child in peaceful seclusion.

As for managing the Earth Realm itself? There was no need to worry. Such matters would be naturally handled by other deities of the Underworld.

The duties would be distributed among Underworld gods, filling in without fuss—this was a minor matter in the grand scheme.

In Elysium, Hades sat on his throne, deep in contemplation.

Persephone entered through the Underworld gate and took a seat beside him, speaking softly, "My lord, giving Europa the position of Earth Ruler—does it leave Hypnos and Thanatos with nothing?"

Persephone pondered this thoughtfully. Originally, the position of Earth Ruler had been considered for one of the twin gods, Hypnos or Thanatos. Now, however, Europa had been appointed to this role.

In truth, Europa was indeed the best candidate for the position. In the world of gods, what was given by a higher authority belonged solely to the recipient, with no room for argument.

However, despite the Underworld's reputation as an unfeeling realm, it was still a place where bonds held significance. Actions like this were rare, and Persephone wondered if it was the right choice.

Hades responded calmly, "There will be greater roles for Hypnos and Thanatos; there's no need to be concerned."

"Very well," Persephone nodded, reassured by her husband's words.

It was true. In other realms, such as those ruled by Poseidon or Porus, there would be no hesitation: whatever was given would be taken without question.

But in the Underworld, things were slightly different. The twin gods, Hypnos and Thanatos, had contributed immensely, deserving recognition. Persephone's sense of justice was part of what made her beloved by all the deities.

After all, not just any god or goddess could earn such affection.

This loyalty towards Persephone highlighted a truth about the Underworld. Its deities, often proud and high-spirited, held her in genuine respect. With her kindness and wisdom, Persephone inspired trust among both ancient demon gods and primordial gods of the Underworld.

Her unique status was undeniable.

The atmosphere returned to quiet. Hades closed his eyes, while Persephone reflected thoughtfully.

Little by little, the Underworld's five God-Kings were being assembled. With the Ruler of the Astral Realm and the Ruler of the Earth now in place, who would be the next God-King to emerge? And what events would follow?
