I Am Hades, The supreme GOD of the Underworld!

Time passed quickly, and the development of the continent of Europa continued unabated.

As time went on, Europa stepped down from her position as Queen of Europa. She left Europa City, relinquishing everything and choosing a quiet life within the temple.

Now, Europa is referred to as the Goddess Europa, no longer the queen.

However, with her abdication, everything began to change drastically. The entire continent of Europa entered a cycle of human development, and wars inevitably erupted.

This was no surprise.

For humanity, when a unifying figure steps down, war naturally follows. It was only logical.

Europa chose not to interfere.

She understood that this was a necessary path in human history.

Furthermore,

for humanity, the best kind of deity is one who doesn't interfere with their right to self-determination. This guarantees a devout faith. However, the moment divine intervention begins, everything changes, and even the most devout followers can turn volatile.

This is not to be doubted, nor is it a joke.

On the contrary,

it is a solid truth. By never interfering, Europa secured her lasting status.

Europa knew this well.

Now,

the once unified population of the continent had fractured into numerous city-states, each engaging in warfare.

However,

despite ongoing conflicts, the wars were gradually strengthening humanity across the continent of Europa.

"Humans…"

Thanatos observed the situation and couldn't help but murmur, "This is humanity! Greed and desire invariably lead to war, but it is also these very traits that drive human advancement."

"Indeed."

Hypnos agreed, recognizing that human greed and desire are undeniable forces for sustained improvement.

Humanity!

The innate "evil" of humanity.

Perhaps this reflects an inherent truth—that people are fundamentally self-interested. This isn't a joke, but a reality that, when considered deeply, seems entirely reasonable.

The twin gods shook their heads, letting the matter go. Their role was to monitor the continent of Europa, preventing any potential catastrophe from occurring.

Their main duty was to avert crises that could lead to annihilation.

This was vital.

With humanity, there is always the risk they could push themselves to the brink of ruin.

This is why

in the distant northern lands of Sparta, only Golden Age humans live and reproduce, with no later generations allowed to enter.

This is the core reason.

Golden Age humans, though flawed, have one key attribute: their faith is absolute, unshakable.

If Golden Age humans are loyal followers,

then

humans born after that era are an entirely different breed, driven primarily by pragmatism. As long as they find a deity useful, they are faithful; but the moment they don't need them?

Well,

they will abandon you without hesitation.

The twin gods knew this well, as did Hades.

For this reason,

the assistance they provided to the continent of Europa was purely out of obligation. Their true purpose was not grounded here; they were merely helping to fulfill the mythic world's agenda while planning to take Europa along.

More accurately, the priority was to take Europa, with fulfilling the mythic world's mission as a secondary concern.

This was the true focus.

Mephistopheles had already departed, scouring the mortal realm for suitable souls, capturing powerful spirits, and leading potential heroes into the Seven Deadly Sins to claim their souls.

At this moment,

Europa knelt in prayer, still in her prolonged state of pregnancy, hundreds of years in the making.

However,

her child remained unborn. Europa wasn't concerned; she knew her child was unique and required more time to develop.

Moreover,

she sensed that her child was missing certain elements, but that it was only a matter of time. Years of change had tempered her heart, so she accepted everything calmly, feeling it was no longer something to fret over.

Inside the temple,

the faint, spectral form of Hades appeared.

"My lord!"

Seeing the vision of Hades, Europa immediately bowed her head, her gaze filled with unwavering devotion and loyalty.

Hades spoke with calm authority, "Europa, your mission here is complete. It is time for you to leave."

"I understand."

Europa had no objections.

Even though

she had personally guided the continent of Europa from its infancy, it was no longer the same. Its people were like her children.

In the end,

her descendants had their own destinies to forge; it was no longer her role to manage them.

Europa accepted this with composure, understanding that her duty was fulfilled and it was time to depart.

"Let's go."

Hades opened the gateway to the Underworld, and Europa rose, striding confidently into it.

At that moment, the twin gods sensed the gateway open and Europa's departure.

They glanced back at the continent, now fully on its course, and departed. Their role was complete; there was nothing more for them to do.

And!

With Europa's entrance into the Underworld, the entire mythic realm trembled with what could only be described as a cataclysmic shock.
