I am Giovanni

Chapter 95: Chapter 95: An Unexpected Encounter

Chapter 95: An Unexpected Encounter

Three weeks later.

In a forest near Pallet Town, Giovanni sat on a large boulder, gazing at the distant area. This was perhaps the safest and most comfortable place in the entire world.

Why? Because the League's first Champion, Professor Oak, resided there. If another ten or twenty years passed, a new World Champion would emerge from this very town.

"Do you think Professor Oak is there right now?" Giovanni mused aloud. "Should we go meet this guy?"

Archer, panting from his own training, replied, "Logically speaking, he shouldn't be. After all, the League still needs him... stop! Primeape! Or I won't be polite!"

"Boss, let's not take that risk," Mars chimed in from the side. "You are the future leader of a dark organization. Going before a Champion... isn't that just courting death? Raticate, stop! I can't take it anymore!"

Giovanni thought it over and agreed. He decided against it. He looked down at the two unfortunate souls trying to tame their new Pokémon, only to be chased all over the place, and shook his head helplessly.

He waved his hand, and the sound of wings flapping came from above as his Beedrill slowly descended. Unlike three weeks ago, its stingers now glowed with a purplish-black light, looking highly venomous. Its aura was more solidified; its level had reached thirty-six, and it had learned the move Poison Jab. This speed was already very fast.

In comparison, the Persian, whose aptitude was gradually reaching its peak, had only gained three levels, now at thirty-nine. The Machoke and Nidorino had only increased by two levels each, and this was only because Giovanni had obtained some suitable loot from Tyson.

"Go help them both," Giovanni instructed his Beedrill.

Its aura soared, directly suppressing the Raticate to the ground. The Primeape still seemed unconvinced, but Beedrill's body flashed, appearing above it. Its twin stingers descended, and a Fury Attack struck the Pokémon until its skin was torn and bleeding.

Finally, it pinned the Primeape to the ground. The creature let out a miserable growl, finally remembering the fear of being dominated by Beedrill.

Giovanni lightly jumped down from the rock and waved to Archer, telling him to stand aside. He then slowly walked up to the Primeape, lifted his foot, and stepped on its head, pressing down hard and embedding its face into the mud.

The Primeape struggled, but what it got in return was Beedrill's increasingly heavy suppression. It whimpered miserably, looking pitiful.

"My patience is limited," Giovanni said, his voice cold, his killing intent flowing out unreservedly. "If you don't obey, I will kill you and get him another Pokémon. You are very smart, but you are not as sensible as the Fearow was.

You should understand whether what I'm saying is true or false. I'll ask you one last question: Do you want to die, or do you want to live?"

The Primeape was so scared that snot and tears streamed down its face. It frantically made sounds, continuously begging for mercy. Only then did Giovanni wave to Beedrill. It retracted its stingers and flew up lightly, shaking off the blood.

Giovanni lifted his foot and, without a trace of mercy, kicked the Primeape next to Archer. "Discipline it well. If it's disobedient again and dares to attack you, then just kill it."

"Yes, Boss," Archer quickly nodded. He bandaged the Primeape's superficial wounds. This time, the Pokémon was truly terrified. Its gaze towards Giovanni and Beedrill was like seeing a devil. Now, looking at Archer, it felt he was truly very good.

As for the Raticate, it had Primeape as a precedent. When Giovanni turned to look at it and Beedrill raised its twin stingers, it shivered and scrambled to Mars's side, constantly rubbing against his calf, trying to sell its cuteness on the spot.

Mars was somewhat at a loss. The two of them had struggled so much, yet they weren't as effective as Giovanni's two simple actions. Perhaps this was the difference.

After truly capturing their new Pokémon, Archer had successfully advanced to the lower ranks of senior-level trainers, while Mars had also reached the lower ranks of advanced trainers. "Thank you, Boss!" Mars said.

"Don't call me Boss when we're outside," Giovanni instructed. "Just call me by my name."

"Alright then," Giovanni said. "Let's go. Should we head to the dock first?"

"Yes." they both replied quickly.

However, just as they walked out of the forest, they encountered two boys, about ten years old, one in front and one behind. Their appearances... were familiar.

Giovanni's eyes narrowed slightly, a flash of killing intent appearing before vanishing instantly. Why? Because he saw a very robust Charizard behind the two boys, a head taller than usual, the flames on its tail burning like a torch.

There was no need for the power of Viridian; he could tell the terrifying power contained within its body just by looking.

Champion-level. Absolutely. This had to be one of Professor Oak's Pokémon.

The black-haired boy slightly behind shouted to the brown-haired boy in front, "Blue, slow down! I can't keep up!"

The boy named Blue turned his head disdainfully. "Red! If you can't keep up, hurry home! You're not worthy of being my, Blue Oak's, future rival!"

"It's me who's going to be the next League Champion!" Red, who was behind, shouted, displeased. "I will definitely defeat Grandpa Oak first!"

"You're dreaming! It's me!"

"It's me!"
