I am Giovanni

Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Cleanse

Chapter 92: Cleanse

If he didn't have the strength, Giovanni would have to rely on his wits, on discerning the good and bad intentions of others with his power— but now, his Beedrill was the sharpest spear in his hand; a spear that allowed him to rely on no one.

"Do it," he commanded. "Fury Cutter."

Beedrill became an afterimage, a golden lightning bolt.

Pfft!

Just one strike. The Fearow's body was easily torn open by the sharp stinger. After a tragic cry, it fell heavily to the ground. Beedrill's crimson insectoid eyes then turned to the Golbat, and with a shake of its wings, it disappeared from its original spot again.

Tyson, knowing he was cornered, gritted his teeth. "Golbat, Quick Guard!" he shouted. The Golbat hastily crossed its wings, an energy shield appearing in front of it.

Clang!

The first strike was indeed blocked— but Beedrill's attack never ended.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The sound of cracking energy made Tyson's heart sink.

BANG!

The energy shield completely shattered. Beedrill's stinger pierced through the Golbat's body. The pale stinger was stained crimson, throwing the Golbat to the ground like trash.

Its crimson gaze then turned to the nearby Weezing, radiating a chilling, bone-piercing killing intent.

The giggling Weezing was startled, its body trembling— a drop of cold sweat appeared on Charlie's forehead; he could tell that even though his Weezing was high-level, it couldn't defeat this monster. He raised his hand and slapped himself.

"Sir!" he said, apologizing to Giovanni. "It was my own initiative! I wanted to earn your favor! I was wrong, my heart was clouded!"

Even Tyson on the other side was stunned. He looked at the Beedrill, which hovered like a god of war, and felt dizzy.

Giovanni did not accept Charlie's apology. His cold gaze slowly shifted to Tyson. He lightly raised a finger. "Kill him."

Beedrill turned its head.

Tyson felt his scalp tingle, a chill running down his spine. He knelt on the ground in terror, begging for mercy. "Wait, Lord Giovanni! I am willing to surrender to you! I can be under your command! Please, spare me!"

Giovanni didn't even blink.

Drops of fresh blood splattered, landing on Charlie's face. The warm blood made him shiver. Tyson's body was split in two, his face still bearing that terrified, pleading expression. His two halves lay on either side, a truly gruesome sight.

After killing Tyson, Beedrill did not pause. It flashed behind the Primeape, its stinger swinging, and sent it flying. The heavily scarred Persian glanced at Beedrill, showing no anger. Just as Beedrill was about to deliver the finishing blow, Giovanni spoke.

"Leave it alive. Go kill those useless ones. Just severely injure the high-level Pokémon."

Beedrill stopped its movements and flew towards where Archer was fighting. Of course, it wasn't Archer that was to be killed, but the Squad Leaders and grunts attacking him. The Persian, having had a moment's rest, also quickly ran over to join the slaughter. As for Machoke and Nidorino, they were exhausted and were recalled by Giovanni.

"You all retreat!" Charlie hastily shouted to the Squad Leaders and grunts who had come with him. "If they try to escape, then you stop them." These men retreated repeatedly, fearing being caught in the crossfire. After shouting this, Charlie smiled ingratiatingly at Giovanni.

Giovanni ignored him. He walked over to Tyson's corpse and, without minding the filth, bent down and picked up his Poké Balls. He collected the fallen Fearow and Primeape, locking their Poké Balls. He also picked up Tyson's backpack; its contents now belonged to him. Charlie only glanced at it, then dared not look further.

The screams from behind were all he needed to hear. That Beedrill was simply too terrifying. And that Persian... these are people, not Rattata— why do you bite off their necks and then shake them?

Limbs were scattered everywhere. Beedrill and Persian not only attacked the Pokémon, but they spared none of the Squad Leaders and grunts— all of them were killed.

They were drenched in blood, and their terrifying killing intent made Captain Ank's subordinates weak in the knees.

Archer was fine; he wiped the sweat and blood from his head, dutifully picking up the Poké Balls from the ground and collecting the severely injured Pokémon.

Mars, who had been so scared he was weak all over, saw Archer doing this and suppressed his fear, helping him with the grim task. As for Ank's subordinates, though they were envious of the spoils, they truly dared not move.

The scene was extremely eerie. The vast area had become a slaughterhouse, with only Beedrill and Persian doing the killing. Until there was no trace of life left.

This scene would be deeply etched in the hearts of these Team Rocket members forever. Almost single-handedly, while fighting above its rank, Giovanni's team had taken down one Senior Trainer, four or five Squad Leaders, and twenty or thirty grunts. This terrifying record, this scene of mountains of corpses and seas of blood, no one could ever forget.

Watching the terrifying Beedrill and Persian return to Giovanni's side, and seeing his cold and aloof demeanor, many people, while fearing him, also showed a hint of admiration in their eyes. They were a dark organization, villains, and they naturally yearned for the worst of villains.

Wasn't this Giovanni exactly what they aspired to be?

"Clean up the mess," Giovanni said coldly, glancing at Charlie, who was constantly wiping cold sweat from his brow.
