Chapter 74 - II
Outside the villa, Xie Qi placed Dan Huang on the edge of the fountain and warned it in a low voice, “Don’t move around. Dad will take some good photos of you.”
The sunshine that day was neither very good nor bad, and natural lighting improved the finished photos by several levels.
Xie Qi took a few photos of Dan Huang with his cell phone. Under the sun, Dan Huang raised his eyes, and the originally dark green eyes appeared like a magnificent gem, crystal clear.
Wearing a red hollow necklace decorated with orbs and gems, Dan Huang sparkled against the white scarf.
After Xie Qi finished filming, he moved Dan Huang to a different location and lay down on the grass to check the results.
The photo shoot had taken most of the day, and his phone was now full of cat photos.
He sent Qin Yizhi several photos of Dan Huang, but Qin Yizhi didn’t reply. Xie Qi didn’t take it seriously, knowing that he was probably busy.
Throughout the photo shoot, Dan Huang had been very well-behaved, not too lively or active, and seemed to understand the instructions vaguely. Xie Qi once again felt that Qin Yizhi’s gift of the cat had really touched his heart.
After Qin Jingmo left in the car, Xie Qi walked in with Dan Huang in his arms.
As expected, Qin Yizhi was still sitting on the sofa drinking tea. Xie Qi hugged the cat and sat next to him. “Dan Huang’s father, I have sent you a photo. Please take a look.”
His tone had changed subtly, with a natural sense of intimacy.
Qin Yizhi paused, picked up his phone, opened the chat box, took a look, and commented in a calm tone, “Not bad.”
Xie Qi said with some dissatisfaction, “Is that it? My shooting skills are very good. Haven’t you noticed? This composition is completely natural.”
“…” Qin Yizhi lowered his eyes and glanced at the big cat face staring directly at the camera on the phone, even the love-shaped nostrils enlarged, and said, “The composition is good.”
Xie Qi said a little proudly, “I am quite talented in photography.”
Qin Yizhi put down his cell phone, glanced at him, paused, reached out, and removed the grass blades from Xie Qi’s shoulders, twisting them between his fingertips. He whispered, “You are already 18 years old.”
Xie Qi replied, “Well, what’s wrong?”
“18 years old?”
Xie Qi said, “Yes, my family doesn’t have the concept of fictitious age. It’s like a fake…”
He almost wanted to roll his eyes. “I have a classmate whose family uses the fictitious age. She is the same age as me. To the outside world, they say she is 20 years old. They said she is already one year old since in the womb and counting her one-year-old at birth, so she is two years older than me.”
Qin Yizhi said nothing but looked at Xie Qi with a deep gaze.
Xie Qi felt it and suddenly said uncomfortably, “Why do you look at me like that?”
Qin Yizhi looked away and said, “I think we still need to make an agreement between us.”
Xie Qi asked, “? Three points of the agreement? You tell me.”
He put down Dan Huang, who had obediently lain down at his feet and rubbed Xie Qi’s instep.
Xie Qi’s attention turned to the cat again, and he sighed inwardly, thinking how beautiful it was.
Qin Yizhi paused and then said, “First, you must keep your distance from others after going to university, and you are not allowed to hook up with others or have any physical contact. Second, your home must have access control, and you must go home before ten o’clock in the evening. Third—”
He was silent for a while and then said, “Wherever you go and whatever you do, you need to report to me.”
Xie Qi reluctantly recovered from the cat, chewed carefully on the three points Qin Yizhi had mentioned, and was a little confused. “…Is this too strict?”
He could still understand the first point, but the second and third points?!!
Xie Qi said, “Isn’t it too early to go home at nine o’clock in the evening? University ends around six o’clock. Am I only allowed to stay outside for three hours?”
He was also quite confused about the third point. “I have to report to you wherever I go. If you don’t find it annoying, I do.”
Qin Yizhi said somewhat seriously, “It’s not safe outside.”
Xie Qi retorted, “How could the capital under the government’s feet be unsafe?”
He couldn’t help but complain, “Even your biological son might not necessarily abide by your weird rules. I am still your wife. We are not related by blood but standing equally in this marriage.”
“You can’t be too much like a father. I’m an independent college student. I can’t do this.”
“…” Qin Yizhi said, “If you follow these three points, I will give you an additional 200,000 yuan in pocket money.”
Xie Qi responded with, “…”
Xie Qi asked, “Are you serious? If you are serious, I will be serious too.”
He was a little embarrassed, but then he thought about it—he had already taken so much money from Qin Yizhi, so why should he be embarrassed?
Qin Yizhi replied, “Yes.”
Xie Qi coughed a few times and said somewhat reservedly, “Well, we are an old married couple, so there is no need to sign any contract this time. I know you will pay on time, and I will listen. Just say it, I can do these three things.”
He even knelt down, stretched out his hand to pat Qin Yizhi’s leg, and asked, “Is it just these three points? Don’t you have any other requirements? You want to give me 600,000 a month now, do you really have nothing else you want to request?”
Qin Yizhi watched his red lips opening and closing as he chattered incessantly. His whole body tensed up and then slowly relaxed, but his expression remained a little cold.
He was already 18 years old, which made him 20 years old in fictitious age, so he was no longer a child.
Note
The fictitious age is probably the Korean system age, they usually add one year from their birth age.
