Chapter 322: Theft (1) : Preperations.
Helena looked at Loki who was dressed lightly with a strange expression.
"Is there a problem?" Loki asked.
"Is that all you'll use? Do you not need anything else to protect yourself?"
Loki looked at himself, he was wearing a three-piece suit with a robe on top, holding a silver inlaid cane, the Ring of Harvest along with a few herbs and vials in case they'd have to perform a ritual.
He also had a gun, specifically an M1911 tucked away in a holster on his waist just below his wand holster.
Loki specially modified the gun to fire flaming bullets blessed by the Sun goddess to purify all evil. He only had six bullets though. Yet he thought it to be enough since each of them was as powerful as a flaring sun charm on its own.
'Well, it's not like I'll be using any of this anyway. It's only to fool Helena into thinking that I'll actually be using all of what I have.'
"Yes. I'm sure I can at least give myself the opportunity to escape if things go south."
Helena shook her head, "Fine whatever." and then handed Loki a silver strip with several ritualistic symbols on it that he easily recognised.
"A charm from the Darkness Domain? What does it do? Put a True God to sleep? So that I can waltz in there and steal the item and come back?"
Helena shook her head and explained without minding Loki's sarcastic remarks that he made because he was clearly still agitated about the task ahead.
"It will keep you hidden until you make the first move towards stealing the Beyonder Characteristics."
"So I was right, it will let me waltz into the domain of a True God.", Loki said surprised at the effect of the charm.
'How did she get this?'
'Not even me with all I've done for Salazar Slytherin can get 'Him' to bless a charm to such a degree.'
'Or am I just underutilising him?'
Loki frowned but then pushed the thought away to the back of his mind.
Having taken the charm Helena had prepared for him, Loki looked up at her and asked her, "What next?"
"Now we go to the entrance of 'His' divine kingdom. And last but not least, keep your eyes closed when I tell you to do so.", Helena said turning human once again as she grabbed Loki's shoulder.
With an almost silent *pop* Loki and Helena instantly vanished from their place, leaving the seventh-floor corridor silent as it had been forever.
Arriving on a glacier Loki immediately complained with his eyes closed since he didn't want to glance upon the figure of a god even by mistake, especially one that was corrupted by the Mother Tree of Desire, "Cold!!! It's cold!!!"
Helena gave Loki a side eye and spoke with disdain, "You're a wizard, use your wand or is that thing in your holster just a stick you use to stab others."
Loki nodded in spite of the chattering of his teeth and pulled out his wand. He tapped his head with the pointy end of his stick and cast a warming charm.
"Ahh~~ so much better. Thank you for reminding me about it. I don't do well with cold."
Helena nodded wordlessly as she looked into the distance, her gaze scaling the barren lands of the glacier they were on.
"When can I open my eyes?"
Helena's solemn gaze on the terrain in front of her broke and she pulled out a small box wrapped in a wall of spirituality from her pocket.
As soon as Helena broke the wall of spirituality around the box, Loki felt something extremely familiar eat at his intuition, there was only one other time he'd felt like this and that was when he was close to the Sorting Hat.
From the box, Helena pulled out a locket that seemed to be illusory, as if it didn't really exist but was somehow projected into existence.
She then put the locket around Loki's head.
Almost instantly Loki felt something interfere with his Body of Heart and Mind. He instinctively wanted to block it but remembering this was Helena's doing and his familiarity with the object he decided to trust her a little.
After the slight but constant interference with his mind, Loki didn't feel the necklace around him do anything else to him so he wondered if it was working but he stopped doubting it when Helena said, "Open your eyes."
Loki opened his eyes and became shocked.
Instead of seeing Helena as she was as a human, he saw a cartoonish representation of her. Like someone had stuck a piece of paper onto reality and painted her likeness like a child with crayons.
"This…"
"From now on no matter what happens, you'll always see every person higher than you in sequence as a cartoonish representation of themselves, even if they reveal their Mythical Creature form to you."
Loki still in his shock thought, 'This…is it so simple to avoid being corrupted?'
'Why aren't there spells that do this?'
'Ah…the Gods probably won't support such a spell would they…it would mean just about anyone could escape from being corrupted by their Mythical Creature form…'
Helena broke him out of his thoughts once again after she tossed a small ring at him. Loki quickly checked it with his spirit vision and saw that the item was-
"It's the Beyonder Characteristics of a Sequence 1 Abomination. If you keep walking deep into the glacier you'll eventually come across the true entrance to 'His' divine kingdom."
Loki caught the ring and asked, "Law of Beyonder Characteristic Convergence?"
"Yes. So make sure you bring this back. Otherwise I'll have to send you to bring it back once again."
Loki nodded and turned towards Helena to confirm his mission one last time, "You want me to bring out the Sequence 2 Ancient Bane Beyonder Characteristics being guarded by a Corrupted Chained God?"
Helena had a complicated look in her gaze but she nodded.
"Yes, if you do that I'll give you the location of my mother's most precious item."
Loki *sighed* and caused a puff of condensation to escape his cold lips as he looked out into the distance.
'A king of angels huh.'
'Well, I stole from an outer great old one once…what's wrong in stealing from a simple True God….'
Loki turned to Helena and asked her a question, "Where will you be waiting for me then?"
Helena looked at the horizon for a while and then spoke in a solemn tone, "I'll be waiting right here."
Loki nodded and began to walk away.
As he walked away he heard a soft, "Good luck. Activate the darkness charm when you can no longer see me." to which he just waved his hand and continued walking.
After a few minutes when Loki saw that he was out of Helena's sight, he kneeled on the cold ice floor. He then set up an altar and started a summoning ritual.
Within minutes, Loki entered the Sefirah castle and exited through the illusory door that had formed above the altar. He was dressed normally and not as the Error True God because he still hadn't accommodated the Error Blasphemy card into his spirit body.
'I can't use the card carelessly for now…'
'Especially since I'm more likely than not to lose control because I will gain divinity without any anchors…'
From his body, which was left in the awkward posture from the Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth ritual, he picked up the powerful Darkness pathway charm that Helena had given him, the necklace that showed him a cartoonish version of the world and began to float away towards the icy tundra after casting a warming charm and a charm to keep away the wildlife to keep hid body safe.
'Hope nothing goes wrong.'
'It shouldn't since I used divination before coming here…'
'But I guess I can't trust divination to much in this case…'
