Chapter 344: Perfect Clearance
"ROOOAAR!"
The Hydra's nine heads thrashed wildly, its ear-piercing screeches echoing across the ancient chamber. Each strike from the magical creatures Blake had summoned inflicted more pain on the beast, causing the ground beneath them to tremble.
Blake adjusted his stance, his wand held aloft. Sweat glistened on his brow, but his expression remained calm. He didn't fear the Hydra, not with his plan unfolding perfectly. "Time to finish this."
As the Hydra attempted to gather its strength, one of its heads reared back, preparing to launch another deadly spell from its gaping maw.
"Not this time!" Blake growled, flicking his wand. A surge of scarlet light erupted from its tip, forming a barrier of writhing chains. The chains shot through the air and latched onto the head, yanking it downward.
"Impedimenta!" he shouted, sending a powerful Stunning Spell toward two more heads. They snapped back, their movements sluggish under the weight of the spell.
The magical beasts Blake had summoned earlier—a Chimera, a Thunderbird, and a Nundu—took the opportunity to press the attack. The Chimera pounced, its claws slashing at the Hydra's vulnerable underbelly, while the Thunderbird unleashed a storm of electricity that crackled through the chamber. The Nundu prowled silently, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
"Keep it occupied!" Blake commanded, his voice cutting through the cacophony.
He turned his attention to the Hydra's central head, which was still struggling against the crimson chains. The creature's sheer size and magical strength were overwhelming, but Blake had an ace up his sleeve.
Taking a deep breath, he sheathed his wand momentarily and clasped his hands together. A wave of magic coursed through his body as he summoned one of his most powerful spells: Aikon's Avatar.
From behind Blake, dozens of identical clones burst forth, each one glowing faintly with magical energy. The entire chamber was soon filled with versions of him, each wielding a wand and emanating the same aura of raw power.
The Hydra hesitated. Its nine heads darted back and forth, unable to determine which Blake was the real one. Even the most intelligent magical creatures would struggle to process this overwhelming sight.
"Got you now," Blake murmured.
The clones moved as one, raising their wands in unison. Streams of scarlet light shot toward the Hydra, forming a web of chains that wrapped around its heads, necks, and limbs.
The beast writhed and roared, its struggles growing more frantic as the magical bindings tightened.
Blake's real body advanced toward the creature, walking confidently amid the chaos. "You've caused enough destruction. Let's see if this works."
From his pocket, he retrieved a gleaming silver orb— the Poke Ball.
Blake leapt onto the Hydra's central head, gripping one of its massive horns for balance. With a flourish of his wand, he activated the Poke Ball.
The sphere erupted in a burst of radiant light, enveloping the Hydra in a swirling vortex of magical energy. The creature roared again, its massive body twisting and contorting as it was drawn into the sphere. One by one, the heads disappeared, until finally, the Hydra was fully contained.
Blake landed gracefully on the ground, holding the now-glowing Poke Ball in his hand. His clones vanished, their purpose fulfilled.
The clearing fell silent.
Blake's magical beasts gathered around him, their postures relaxed now that the battle was over. The Chimera let out a triumphant roar, while the Thunderbird perched on a crumbling pillar, its feathers still crackling with residual electricity. The Nundu sat calmly, its piercing eyes fixed on the glowing sphere.
Blake examined the sphere closely. The Hydra's immense power still pulsed within it, causing the surface to shimmer and tremble slightly.
"This one's not going down easily," he muttered.
Placing the sphere in a specially enchanted pouch on his belt, he closed his eyes and focused. He channelled his druid magic into the sphere to prevent the Hydra from breaking free.
Under the dual suppression of druid magic and Poke ball. Hydera in the Poke ball finally stopped struggling.
[Ding! Congratulations, Host. You have successfully subdued the Hydra!]
The familiar voice of his system echoed in his mind.
[Ding! You have perfectly cleared the secret realm!]
[Ding! Rewards are as follows: fifty Hydra's magic scales, nine horns from Hydra's heads, one random magical beast egg, and one ton of Mithril.]
Blake couldn't suppress a grin as the system's interface materialized before him, listing his spoils. Each item was a treasure in its own right, and together they made this one of his most successful ventures yet.
"Well, well," he said, his grin widening. "Seems this trip was worth the trouble."
The chamber around him began to shimmer, the ancient ruins disintegrating into motes of light. Blake knew this signalled the end of the secret realm.
He dismissed his summoned beasts with a wave of his wand. "You've done well. Rest now."
As the creatures disappeared, Blake turned his attention to his companions outside the ruins. Cassandra and Fleur were likely anxious, having heard the battle but been unable to intervene.
Emerging from the ruins, he spotted the two girls near their makeshift camp. Cassandra's face lit up with relief when she saw him.
"Blake! Are you alright?" she called, rushing toward him.
"We heard all sorts of terrible noises," Fleur added, her expression a mix of concern and curiosity.
Blake held up a reassuring hand. "I'm fine. The Hydra's been dealt with."
He quickly dismantled the camp with a flick of his wand, gathering their supplies.
Although many magical plants were lost in this battle. But Blake had gained a lot. Enough to recover all losses.
Let's not talk about the large amount of precious materials. Let's talk about the Hydera who is alive and completely tamed. And that mythical beast egg that can be hatched at any time! Even if the reward is only this
Blake would have been content!
This reward could be said to be so rich that it doesn't look like a secret realm opened from a diamond treasure chest!
"System, are you sure this is really just the secret realm opened from the diamond treasure chest, not the secret realm opened from the supreme treasure chest?"
While Blake was cleaning up, he asked casually. But unexpectedly, the system actually answered this time!
[Ding! The rewards change with the number of participants in the secret realm.]
[Ding! The host is multiplayer entering the secret realm, so the challenge is a multiplayer secret realm, so the rewards and difficulty will also be adjusted appropriately!]
Blake was stunned, not expecting Cassandra and Fleur's unexpected intrusion. Is it still a good thing?
I have so many rewards this time. Is it because I just cleared a multiplayer copy?!
"Damn it, when you think about it, it makes so much sense...
"Although I think this secret realm is very simple, but..."
Blake remembered the wolves he'd met before, Ammut and all.
If it were someone else who came to break through the secret realm, they would have been torn apart long ago. Thinking about it this way, the difficulty level has indeed been raised!
Only a monster like Blake can completely fail to notice that the difficulty of the secret realm was wrong...Good thing he now knew what to do next time he drives out of the secret realm.
"We're done here. Let's head back."
As they prepared to leave, Cassandra's gaze fell on the glowing pouch at Blake's side. "What's that?"
"A souvenir," Blake said with a wink.
The three of them joined hands, Blake taking the lead as he activated the spell to exit the secret realm.
A soft blue light enveloped them, and in the blink of an eye, they reappeared at the mouth of a bridge in the French countryside.
Blake removed the Disillusion charm that had concealed their hiding spot. No sooner had he done so than an owl swooped down, dropping a stack of letters onto his head.
"Ow!" Blake exclaimed, catching the bundle before it hit the ground.
Among the letters was a copy of The Daily Prophet. Curious, he opened it and immediately froze.
Plastered across the front page were photographs of Cassandra and Fleur, alongside a sensational headline:
"Shocking Abduction! Two Heiresses Taken Hostage by a Boy Wizard?"
Beneath it, the article detailed their supposed "kidnapping," complete with exaggerated accounts and wild speculation about Blake's involvement.
Blake's jaw dropped. "Are you kidding me?"
Cassandra peered over his shoulder and gasped. "They think you kidnapped us?"
Fleur giggled, though her cheeks were flushed. "I suppose it does look suspicious."
Blake groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I save the day, and this is the thanks I get?"
As he scanned the reward amount listed for his capture, he muttered, "This might be enough to tempt me to turn myself in."
