How Could I Possibly Have a Daughter After Reincarnating?

107. Oppai People

“Ugh! My head hurts!”

Ling Ning groggily woke from her sleep, feeling as though her head was splitting. Well, it made sense, considering she’d drunk so much in one go. It would be strange if her head didn’t hurt.

She got up and glanced out the window. It was already pitch dark outside, and she had no idea how long she’d been out.

Reaching out to feel along the wall, Ling Ning flicked on the room’s lights. The room was suddenly bright as day, causing her to instinctively shut her eyes. It took her a while to adjust.

Ling Ning glanced around the room. It was mainly decorated in white, with touches of pink. This was probably Zhou Xiaoxiao’s room.

She also noticed there were many figurines on the shelves nearby. Well, that wasn’t surprising. Zhou Xiaoxiao was a true otaku, and with a well-off family, it would be more surprising if she didn’t have figurines at home.

Holding her head, Ling Ning slowly got out of bed and approached the shelves for a closer look. She recognized a lot of the characters—like Madoka, the Tyrant, Saber, and even Li Yunlong… Wait, why was there a Li Yunlong?

Just seeing Li Yunlong made Ling Ning’s mind conjure up lines like, “Bring out my Italian cannon!” and “You damn bastard, I’ll curse you to death!” along with “That salted fish is really a character.”

While Ling Ning was inspecting the figurines, the door opened, and Zhou Xiaoxiao walked in slowly.

“You’re up? Feeling any better?”

“A lot better, but my head still hurts a bit.” Ling Ning sighed dramatically.

“Wait here.” Zhou Xiaoxiao spoke as she stepped out of the room, only to return shortly with a cup of hot water. “Here, drink some hot water. I’ll make you something to eat.”

“Huh?” Ling Ning looked at Zhou Xiaoxiao, shocked. She never expected Zhou Xiaoxiao to say something like that.

Zhou Xiaoxiao immediately grabbed a plushie beside her and hurled it at Ling Ning’s face. Just one look at Ling Ning’s expression and she knew exactly where her thoughts had wandered.

“If you aren’t hungry, I guess I can save myself the trouble of cooking.”

“Hungry, definitely hungry. I’ve been drinking all afternoon without eating much. I’m starving now. By the way, can I use your computer?” Ling Ning wasn’t lying. All afternoon she had been drinking, barely touching any food.

“Sure, go ahead. The password is one through nine.”

Once Zhou Xiaoxiao left the room, Ling Ning wandered around a bit more. Logically, a teenage girl should have some hidden secrets, right?

But Ling Ning wasn’t really in the mood to go snooping. Her head was pounding, and all she wanted to do was open the computer and check how her novel was doing. She hadn’t even posted today’s update yet. Thankfully, she had stored a draft on her cloud drive.

Quietly, she opened the laptop, typed in the password, and was greeted by a rather plain desktop wallpaper featuring an anime character. She ignored the numerous games on the desktop, opened the browser, and started updating her novel.

“What are you looking at?”

“Updating my novel~”

It was then that Ling Ning realized Zhou Xiaoxiao was standing behind her, holding a bowl—probably noodles.

Placing the bowl in front of Ling Ning, Zhou Xiaoxiao asked curiously, “How’s your novel doing?”

“Not bad, I guess… Do you want to read it?” Ling Ning asked softly.

“Nah, just seeing a wall of text makes me dizzy.” Zhou Xiaoxiao shook her head. She really couldn’t stand looking at long texts.

“By the way, what time is it now?” Only then did Ling Ning realize she had no idea what time it was, and she hadn’t called her daughter yet. She was in full-blown panic mode.

Seeing Ling Ning in such a state, Zhou Xiaoxiao smiled gently. “I’ve already called for you. Relax and stay here tonight. But you might have to wake up early tomorrow, since this place is quite far from our school.”

“No way!”

The thought of waking up early made Ling Ning’s headache even worse.

“What about my makeup?” Ling Ning pointed at her face.

“Just take it off. My parents are already asleep, so you can even take a shower if you want. As long as you’re out of here before they wake up, it should be fine.”

“Um, can I ask what time your parents usually wake up?”

“Six o’clock.”

“Just let me die.”

“Phew~”

After her shower, Ling Ning felt much better. Especially after getting rid of the binding around her chest; she could finally breathe properly again. Even the wig—removing it seemed to ease her headache a bit.

Just as she was about to head back to the room to sleep, she noticed Zhou Xiaoxiao still sitting in the living room.

“Why aren’t you asleep yet? Don’t we have to wake up early tomorrow?”

“How do you feel? Better after the shower?”

Zhou Xiaoxiao looked at Ling Ning, a hint of disappointment flashing in her eyes, though it quickly disappeared.

“Yeah, much better, but the shower kind of washed away my sleepiness too. My hair’s still wet anyway, so I’ll sit with you for a while.” Ling Ning touched her still-damp hair and sat down beside Zhou Xiaoxiao.

The two of them sat in silence for a long while before Zhou Xiaoxiao finally spoke.

“Um… Ling Ning, thank you for today.”

“…”

Zhou Xiaoxiao turned her head, only to find that Ling Ning had fallen asleep without her even realizing it. Staring at Ling Ning, Zhou Xiaoxiao let out a sigh. “Why can’t Ling Ning just be Ling Ling?”

At dawn, while Ling Ning was still off in dreamland, she was yanked back to reality by Zhou Xiaoxiao. She pulled out her phone to check the time—it was only a little after five in the morning. Zhou Xiaoxiao was already fully dressed and standing there.

“Hurry up, wash up. I’ve put some clothes out for you. I’ll wait outside, but you need to be out before six.” With that, Zhou Xiaoxiao turned and left the room.

After a while, just as Zhou Xiaoxiao was about to go back in to rush her, Ling Ning finally emerged, slowly.

“Why are you so slow?”

“Your clothes are a bit small, especially that bra. It feels just as tight as the binding I wore yesterday.” Ling Ning was wearing one of Zhou Xiaoxiao’s white dresses, but on Ling Ning, the originally knee-length hem ended up at her thighs. And as for the chest area, it definitely didn’t give off Zhou Xiaoxiao’s pure vibe—instead, it gave off a rather overpowering energy.

“I refuse to talk to an oppai person.” Zhou Xiaoxiao pouted, glaring at Ling Ning’s ample chest. Big breasts were blasphemy. Flat chests were the true rare treasure!
