Honkai: Man(Sludge) From Future

After getting what he wanted, Noldrei began to move.

He didn't actually know what Sirin thought of the new Herrscher. He had only learned of a snake lurking in the depths from this riot in Academy City.

But what did it matter? Who in this world didn't have a few secrets?

Just as Noldrei didn't care if this Sirin was the original Sirin or not, he still let her use Sirin's appearance.

An individual consciousness split from K-423's body. Whether she chose to inherit the original Sirin's past or to become a Sirin with no connection to the original, casting aside her past sins—none of that had much to do with Noldrei.

He only cared about one thing:

The sound of footsteps slowly approached. Sirin instinctively looked towards the source of the sound.

She was currently protecting herself with an Imaginary barrier, shielding herself from the astonishing cold emanating from the Fifth Herrscher.

The temperature was so frighteningly low that it almost reminded her of the cold times in Siberia.

Noldrei's voice came through, faint and ethereal. It was unclear if he was worried the Fifth Herrscher wouldn't understand.

He seemed to be using a method of communication beyond normal human comprehension.

Sirin felt a scene materializing in her mind, sketching out an unknown graphical structure.

"A Herrscher Core, a special gem structure containing Honkai factors. Within it lies the past memories of all its previous owners. As long as one's will resonates with it, one can obtain these past memories."

"It's an existence similar to a Stigma's will, essentially still a process of expressing genetic information."

"They are one and the same."

"To save your friend, simply modifying her life form is not enough. You must complete a new construction from the expression of her genetic information. And to complete this process, you must find a temporary container for her consciousness within the Honkai factors."

"Like a water tank. Consciousness is the water, the original body is one tank, and the new body is another. But during the transfer, there must be a third container. It is the channel for the consciousness, a pipe for transferring the water."

The Fifth Herrscher, Ana, stopped what she was doing. She had almost walked right into a trap.

Even as a Herrscher, the girl still retained a degree of innocence. Her past knowledge told her that what Noldrei said was correct.

Unfortunately, the current Ana couldn't speak.

She couldn't overcome the Herrscher consciousness that the Honkai had forced upon her.

"As a Valkyrie, you're not very good. Your resistance to the Honkai is even worse than Mei's, who gets bullied and emo all the time."

Noldrei's words made Sirin almost burst out laughing. If the situation wasn't so serious, she would have laughed out loud.

Ana felt insulted. The surrounding temperature dropped even further.

"Has your Herrscher Core crystallized yet? Hand it over after you're done saving your friend."

Noldrei's words caused a ripple of emotion in Ana, but she just lowered her head and continued to rescue her friend.

Shiina Mahiru had almost completely turned into a Deadwalker. Ana could only carefully seal her friend's consciousness.

At this moment, Ana couldn't be bothered with Noldrei's designs on her core. She didn't want it anyway; whoever wanted it could take it.

Sirin was completely at a loss for words. She never expected her newly born comrade to face such a cold and ruthless action from Noldrei.

Kiana, Raiden Mei, even Wendy—they all had faced the same.

He took what he wanted, without the slightest hesitation.

"Your will cannot control the core. You can only barely act as a filter for the Herrscher Core, allowing the Herrscher consciousness given to you by the Honkai to remain in your body, while your gem core will benefit the next generation of Herrschers I create."

"Hey, aren't you here to save people?!"

Sirin couldn't stand it anymore. She felt she had to at least pull Noldrei back onto the right track.

"She could have saved the person herself, but she insisted on using Honkai Energy to control her friend's body..." Noldrei sighed. "You can't use Honkai Energy directly. You have to use the material effects generated by the Herrscher itself to manipulate and change the body. That's how you minimize the Honkai corrosion on the patient."

"Just like how Tesla can't directly control people with Honkai Energy, but uses the ability to manipulate electrons that comes with her Honkai power to control people through those electrons."

"I give up... I wrote so many textbooks, has any of you even read them?"

Sirin froze for a moment, then covered her face and squatted down.

She hadn't read them. Her level of education was even worse than Kiana's.

As for Ana, it was even less likely she had read them, because what Valkyries learned was different from what Noldrei provided to the schools.

Who would teach people how to control Honkai Energy to save those corroded by it in a textbook?

Valkyries were taught directly how to kill Deadwalkers.

Ana's healing hands stopped. She hesitated, unsure of what to do.

She could only freeze her friend's body, which she had already been corroding for some time, and give up on the idea of continuing to save her herself.

Ana looked at Noldrei, hoping this person could save her friend.

Noldrei did not disappoint her.

He thought for a moment and came up with a solution that would kill two birds with one stone.

Noldrei extended his hand and asked, "Tesla is currently missing two children. Do you want to be her daughters?"

His words flew as an electrical signal to Tesla's ears in the sky.

The Lobster Doctor was a bit confused. She had no idea when she had become short two children.

"Wait, what does this mean?"

"Why am I suddenly getting two daughters?!"

A glowing blue-purple Tesla suddenly appeared on the scene, a ghostly sight that startled Sirin.

"How did you appear so suddenly? Weren't you in the sky?" Sirin carefully hid behind Bella.

"It's just an electronic projection, stop making a fuss!" Tesla shot her a look, too lazy to explain these things to an idiot.

"How did I suddenly get two daughters?" The Lobster Doctor had planned to create her own, not pick up two adopted ones off the street.

Noldrei pointed at Ana.

The girl was clad in black, so dazed she couldn't even form a complete sentence.

"If my observations are correct, the new Herrscher's ability should be to slow down the movement of matter. I plan to use this new ability to create a pair of completely opposite life forms. I just don't know if you can handle them."

Hearing Noldrei's words, Tesla's heart suddenly stirred. She was over eighty; what was wrong with having two children?

"What are you planning to do?" Tesla was worried Noldrei had other ideas.

"I want to use the power to slow down matter to reverse-corrode the Honkai, thereby freezing the space-time of the solar system."

Is that how you use a Herrscher Core?! Countless question marks popped up in Sirin's head.

How had she never thought of using it like that?
