Kiana's jealousy came on fast and faded just as quickly.

She couldn't be bothered to ask Noldrei who the extra girl was, but the person's appearance was somewhat familiar.

Kiana instinctively felt it was the Herrscher of the Void, but she looked different from the one in her consciousness.

Neither of them had much to do. The streets of Academy City were currently plastered with Hachiman Hikigaya's speeches, which were broadcast intermittently to subject the brothers and sisters of the city to a new form of psychological attack imported from Shenzhou.

Bronya had already received numerous complaints from citizens, but she was just a lowly soldier following His Majesty the Emperor's orders, responsible for the lives and property of three million people.

Kiana stared at the cube in her hand in amazement.

You're not even going to dodge?! Bronya stopped worrying about her 'heir apparent's' safety. Seeing Kiana's condition, it was clear a couple more shots wouldn't kill her.

So, Bronya focused all her attention on finding the direction of the attack.

The surrounding crowd was in chaos, and Kiana paid no attention to the person who had already fled.

She was carefully examining the black cube. An incredibly dense amount of Honkai Energy was emanating from it.

"This thing... it's not some kind of Honkai Energy crystal, is it? It looks a little dangerous. I should probably keep it in my stomach for now."

Shortly after Kiana put the box back in her stomach, she felt it shatter inside her.

Soon...

"What the—?! Idiot Kiana, what did you do?!"

Bronya stared in shock at Kiana's rapidly growing belly, unable to believe she was about to give birth right then and there.

"What's going on?!"

Kiana was utterly stunned. She was still a virgin and didn't want to make this kind of news on the street.

She had no idea why a perfectly fine black box could create such a large, living person, but it was clear she couldn't let anyone see her in this embarrassing situation.

The streets were now filled with a chaotic crowd.

The gunshot hadn't been very loud, and since it had only hit Kiana's stomach, it hadn't created a particularly gruesome scene.

Unlike Hachiman Hikigaya's shooting incident, Kiana was completely unharmed after taking the bullet. It had only broken the black box inside her.

But that break was a big deal. To the passersby, it looked like the girl's stomach was inflating like a balloon.

"Ah! Someone call an ambulance! This girl's about to give birth!"

Just as everyone was preparing to help the pregnant young woman, Kiana couldn't hold it in any longer and revealed her true form on the spot.

A giant, pink, jelly-like sphere appeared at a busy city intersection.

This entrance was so dramatic that it left the guy who had been shouting for help to deliver the baby completely dumbfounded.

Inside the transparent pink jelly body was a young girl with long rabbit ears.

Bronya regretted not being able to catch the attacker. She had no idea what they had used to hit Kiana, but it had shattered the black box in a single blow.

When Kiana had first swallowed it, she thought the box was incredibly sturdy. Who would have thought the enemy's weapon would be so powerful? It couldn't have been some kind of long-range superweapon like the Judgment of Shamash, could it?

Kiana felt she was just plain unlucky. She had no choice but to "give birth" to this rabbit-eared woman right there on the street.

The bystander felt that this world was just too exciting.

Isn't our world supposed to be a sci-fi cyberpunk setting?

Why did something like an isekai slime suddenly appear?

Could it be that all our recent advances in biotechnology are the result of dissecting and studying people from other worlds? Are the slimes here to eat people for revenge? But that girl looks like a real kemonomimi... Could it be that the people from the other world are having internal conflicts?

This guy's imagination was running wild, but it was clear he was still missing a few pieces of the puzzle.

Kiana felt her life was now just one long, embarrassing dark history. Without a second thought, she wrapped up the woman she had just spat out and dived into the sewer to escape.

Bronya quickly followed, but was stopped by the stench from the sewer.

She lifted the manhole cover with one hand and cupped the other around her mouth, shouting, "Hey! Remember to come home for dinner! Don't eat anything from the sewer! I know you can eat a lot, but the memory of going in there last time is too vivid! Don't eat it!"

I wonder if she heard me...

Bronya was exhausted. She knew Kiana's body had an incredibly strong digestive system, capable of devouring and cleaning out everything in the sewer.

But she didn't want her friend to eat in the sewer every day.

Bronya looked around at the numerous people calling the police, wondering what excuse the security team should use to cover this up.

Maybe...

She looked up at the young man speaking on the large TV screen on the building.

Have him represent the security team and bow in apology?
