Hokage travelling to crused world - why everyone is traitor

Chapter 28: Chapter 28: Sasuke’s Personal Grandfather, Indra!

"After all, he has lived in your body for so long."

Ōtsutsuki Tenma chuckled and said, "I should give you something in return, right? Just consider it as paying the rent."

Meanwhile, inside Sasuke's body, within a special sealed space, the eldest son of the Sage of Six Paths, Ōtsutsuki Indra, remained silent. His will had been forcefully stripped away by an unknown power, bound together with a portion of his chakra and sealed within Sasuke's body.

For the foreseeable future, he could only exist in this limited form. Resisting was futile—especially against the man standing before him, a figure who, despite his unassuming presence, radiated a power akin to Kaguya Ōtsutsuki. A being beyond the realm of the Six Paths.

Sasuke couldn't sense what was so special about Ōtsutsuki Tenma, but Indra could. This man was an entity far beyond anything he could challenge. And since Indra's presence in Sasuke's body was merely a lingering fragment of chakra and will, he had no means to fight back.

Fortunately, this situation wouldn't last forever. Once the chakra anchoring him was depleted, his consciousness would fade, and he would be freed.

"Indra is sealed inside my body...?"

Sasuke felt a strange unease. This was too similar to Naruto's situation—except, instead of a giant fox, he had a powerful ancestor watching his every move. The idea of being observed constantly by another person, especially someone like Indra, was unsettling.

A New Life in the Imperial Capital

"Next, I will arrange for you to enroll in a school," Senju Tobirama stated coldly. "As for your living arrangements, you will reside in the Uchiha clan settlement in the Imperial Capital. Do you have any objections?"

"...No problem."

Sasuke shook his head. He was curious to see how the Uchiha clan functioned in this world.

"Good," Tobirama said, his lips curving slightly. "If you need anything or have any concerns, report directly to me."

Sasuke sighed. He wasn't exactly eager to be under Tobirama's watch, but since even the Emperor remained silent on the matter, he had no choice but to comply.

The Uchiha Clan Settlement

Swish!

With a flicker, Senju Tobirama transported himself and Sasuke to the Uchiha district in the Imperial Capital.

Waiting for them was a middle-aged couple.

"I brought the kid," Tobirama said bluntly. Without another word, he vanished using the Flying Thunder God Technique.

Sasuke was stunned. The people standing before him were unmistakable—their faces exactly like those of his parents from his own world.

"You must be Sasuke from the parallel world, correct?" Uchiha Fugaku spoke with an unusual gentleness. "The clan has already been informed of your arrival. Coincidentally, our Sasuke has left for His Majesty's parallel ninja world exploration program, so you can take his place here for now."

"The clan is eager to welcome you," added Uchiha Shikato. "We're even planning a celebration. Is there anything special you like to eat? We'd be happy to prepare it for you."

Sasuke remained silent, his expression blank. These people were exactly like his parents. The same father, the same mother, the same brother. Yet, in his world, Uchiha Itachi had destroyed everything.

Seeing Sasuke's hesitation, Uchiha Shikato gently suggested, "Would you like to rest first? Traveling between worlds can be exhausting. You might need some time to adjust."

They knew about his past. The entire Uchiha clan had debated endlessly, unable to comprehend why another Uchiha Itachi would choose to slaughter his own kin.

"How could someone test their power like that?"

"What kind of madness is that?"

Even trying to imagine it was disturbing. But for Sasuke, who had lived through it, the pain was far more profound.

"...No, I don't need rest," Sasuke finally spoke. His voice wavered slightly, but he forced himself to remain composed. "I just... want to walk around the Uchiha district."

This wasn't his home. His real parents were gone. This was someone else's family. Someone else's world.

"I can't afford to get attached," he told himself. "This will never be my home."

Seeing his determination, Fugaku and Shikato hesitated but eventually nodded.

Memories of a Lost Home

Sasuke wandered alone through the Uchiha settlement.

Unlike the traditional architecture he remembered, this Uchiha district was filled with modern high-rises, their lower floors bustling with shops. Yet, among the unfamiliar, there were still traces of his past—the same clan insignia, the same quiet streets.

People passed by, their faces eerily familiar. Some had perished on the night of his clan's massacre. Yet here they were, alive, laughing, going about their lives as if nothing had ever happened.

"You're... Sasuke?"

A familiar voice pulled Sasuke from his thoughts.

He turned, his breath hitching.

"Uncle Teyaki..."

It was Uchiha Teyaki, the man who had once run a small pancake shop with his wife. In Sasuke's world, they had died along with the rest of the clan. But here, they were still running their shop, living peacefully.

Acting on instinct, Sasuke took out the money Tobirama had given him and bought a pancake—just as he had when he was a child.

Sitting alone in a corner, he took a bite.

The taste was the same. Exactly the same.

Snap!

A tear fell onto his hand.

"Damn it!"

He wiped his eyes furiously, trying to stifle his emotions.

"I am an Avenger! Avengers don't cry!"

Inside him, Indra, who had been watching silently, sighed.

"For once... let me do something for this child."

Meanwhile, at Mount Myōboku...

In Ninja World No. 1, at the legendary Toad Sage's sanctuary, Mount Myōboku, a powerful summoning jutsu was performed.

In an instant, Jiraiya, one of Konoha's legendary Sannin, was teleported there.
