Hokage travelling to crused world - why everyone is traitor

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Sasuke Arrives in Otherworld and Enters Elementary School

"... Uchiha Itachi!"

Sasuke's voice was cold as he glared at Uchiha Itachi, his scarlet Sharingan eyes burning with intensity.

That face!

It was too familiar.

Memories flooded his mind, clawing their way from the darkest corners of his consciousness.

That night five years ago...

The face that haunted him, that woke him up in anger, hatred, and fear for countless nights.

"..."

Uchiha Itachi's once-gentle expression slowly faded.

"I'm sorry. I caused you a lot of harm in another world," he said softly.

He already knew what had happened in Sasuke's world.

The version of him over there had destroyed the entire Uchiha clan.

Had even killed their parents.

"..."

Sasuke clenched his fists.

He knew the man standing before him wasn't the one he sought vengeance against.

This was merely his counterpart from another world.

But still...

The mere sight of him made Sasuke's blood boil.

He wanted to punch that face.

He had to force himself to hold back.

There was no way he could speak to this man calmly.

Seeing Sasuke's reaction, Itachi sighed inwardly. Without another word, he turned slightly and gestured for Sasuke to follow.

This place was part of a facility built for the Empire's parallel ninja world exploration project.

It was still under construction.

A stable portal to the parallel ninja world was being developed here.

Soon, Uchiha Itachi and Sasuke stepped into an elevator.

The metal doors slid shut, and the elevator began to rise.

For a while, neither spoke.

Then, Itachi finally broke the silence.

"We are currently in the border region of the Land of Wind, now known as Wind State, part of the Central Plains of the Ninja World."

"Your destination is the Imperial Capital, but the distance from here is quite far."

"You have several travel options—land, railway, airplane, airship, or even space teleportation."

"If you ask me, I'd recommend taking an airship. It's slower, but you'll be able to see the Empire's landscapes from the sky."

"On the way, I can also explain more about the Empire to you."

Sasuke listened quietly.

A strange feeling crept over him.

For a brief moment, he felt as if he had gone back in time.

Back to before the massacre.

Back to the days when Itachi was still his older brother.

It almost felt like they were on a family trip.

"... Yeah," Sasuke muttered, his voice low.

That was as close to acceptance as Itachi was going to get.

Hearing Sasuke's response, Itachi sighed in relief.

At least his younger brother was willing to communicate.

Before long, the elevator reached the surface.

The moment the doors opened, Sasuke was met with the sight of a massive construction site.

Workers moved about, operating strange machines he had never seen before.

Everything was foreign to him.

Sasuke followed closely behind Itachi, his muscles tense with unease.

He had no idea what any of these strange devices did.

"We're here," Itachi said suddenly.

Through the corridor's glass walls, Sasuke saw a massive airship docked outside.

His jaw nearly dropped.

"That... that's the airship?"

He had expected something small—maybe the size of a blimp.

Not this!

This thing was enormous!

And it was supposed to fly?

How was that even possible?

Following Itachi, Sasuke carefully stepped onto the airship.

Moments later, the massive vessel rose into the air.

Inside the luxurious lounge, Sasuke stood frozen before the enormous floor-to-ceiling windows.

The scenery below stretched endlessly in all directions.

His eyes widened.

"Wait!"

A sudden realization struck him.

He turned to Itachi, his voice laced with disbelief.

"You said we're in the Land of Wind?!"

That couldn't be right!

Outside, there were lush forests, rolling fields, and rivers as far as the eye could see.

But the Land of Wind was supposed to be a barren desert!

This looked more like the Land of Fire!

"That's one of the reasons I suggested you take the airship," Itachi said, his voice calm.

"More than a decade ago, His Majesty redesigned the entire ninja world."

"Using the power of the Six Paths, he rewrote the very geography and climate of the land."

"Now, even the Land of Wind—once the most barren and uninhabitable region—is a paradise."

Sasuke felt dizzy.

This was beyond anything he had ever heard of.

Someone had rewritten the entire world?

That was... god-like power.

"Is that even possible?" Sasuke muttered.

"Completely changing the terrain of the world? That's absurd."

"So, your Majesty is unique."

Itachi's voice was filled with respect.

"Whether it's in terms of power or leadership, His Majesty is unmatched."

Sasuke fell silent.

He had heard a lot about this mysterious ruler.

Menma.

Kakashi.

Now Itachi.

They all spoke of him with admiration and reverence.

Just who was this person?

"Once we arrive in the Imperial Capital, His Majesty will likely arrange for you to enroll in school," Itachi said.

"There's still much you need to learn."

Sasuke blinked.

"School?"

That was unexpected.

He had just graduated from the Ninja Academy.

Going back to school wasn't exactly appealing.

But at the same time... it wasn't entirely unacceptable either.

"Yeah."

He nodded.

If it helped him understand this world, then fine.

Itachi continued, his voice slightly strained.

"The Empire's education system consists of nine years of compulsory education—six years of elementary school, three years of junior high. After that, there's high school and university."

"If your grades are exceptional, you can skip ahead without restrictions."

Sasuke listened, nodding slightly.

"So if I enroll, what level will I be placed in?"

Surely not elementary school.

Maybe junior high or high school?

After all, he had graduated top of his class at the Academy.

There was no way they would put him in—

Itachi hesitated for a moment before answering.

"Based on Menma's report, you haven't completed basic Chakra control training, such as water-walking. You also lack knowledge in cultural subjects, including ninja world history."

"So, you'll most likely be placed in elementary school."

Sasuke froze.

His face turned stiff.

"...What?"

Elementary school?

He, Uchiha Sasuke, top of his class at the Academy, was being sent back to elementary school?

This had to be a joke!

But Itachi wasn't joking.

Sasuke groaned, running a hand down his face.

This world...

This Empire...

It was going to be a long adjustment.

And it seemed his first step would be—

Elementary school.
