Chapter 43: Harvesting White Zetsu Body
As White Zetsu's words fell, a huge Bodhisattva statue with countless giant arms stood tall in the forest.
"Wooden Golem Jutsu? But... is there something wrong with this height?" Uchiha Yuma muttered in confusion as he observed the Wooden Golem, which stood at only about thirty meters tall.
He had already recognized this special White Zetsu.' However, at this stage, Obito had not joined them yet, so naturally, he had no name.
Suddenly, Uchiha Yuma realized something.
"Oh, so that's why the Wooden Golem's height seems off... it's because the timeline hasn't caught up yet!"
He remembered.
This guy's Wooden Golem Jutsu aspires to match the legendary Senju Hashirama's technique, even attempting to wield the power of all five elemental releases. But that level could only be reached with someone like Yamato's abilities.
As these thoughts raced through his mind, 'White Zetsu' suddenly controlled the massive Wooden Golem, raising its enormous fist to strike at Yuma.
"Die, you damn brat!"
"Why do some people always rely on things beyond their capabilities?" Yuma sighed, his tone carrying a hint of mockery.
As the fist closed in, Yuma lowered his gaze, calmly turning the handle of his blade.
Whoosh!
In an instant, his figure vanished, only to reappear behind 'White Zetsu.'
Shhhk!
The ninja sword pierced through 'White Zetsu's' body.
"Did you forget? I can use the Flying Thunder God Technique," Yuma mocked, a sly smile playing on his lips.
But 'White Zetsu' turned his head slightly and smirked cruelly.
"Uchiha boy, you fell into my trap. Did you really think I'd forget about that?"
As soon as the words left his mouth, 'White Zetsu's' body began to squirm unnaturally.
Yuma's Sharingan caught the movements, and his expression shifted. "Not good!"
He immediately swung his ninja sword.
Slash!
'White Zetsu's' body was cut into two. However, this transformation also affected the giant Bodhisattva statue.
Boom!
The Wooden Golem Jutsu began to dissolve amidst the loud rumble.
"So, this is how you survive—by severing your 'tail,' huh?" Yuma muttered, his expression a mix of awe and frustration.
He looked at 'White Zetsu's' bisected body on the ground, feeling slightly annoyed but also impressed.
In truth, the Wooden Golem was merely a distraction. Under its cover, 'White Zetsu' had already transferred his conscious core into a new body underground. By sacrificing most of his body, he rendered the Flying Thunder God Technique ineffective.
The part of the body that carried the seal and the main consciousness had already escaped.
"As expected from someone who can stir up chaos alongside Obito and survive the Fourth Great Ninja War," Yuma admitted begrudgingly.
Still, he wasn't entirely dissatisfied.
He glanced at 'White Zetsu's' remains.
"The biggest prize is still mine," Yuma said, his voice filled with satisfaction.
He had obtained White Zetsu cells—specifically, the enhanced version from 'White Zetsu.'
This 'White Zetsu' version of White Zetsu cells possessed immense power, enough to support Uchiha Obito's mastery of the infamous Kamui. For Yuma, this acquisition was priceless.
"With these cells, I won't have to worry about blindness anymore," Yuma mused, knowing he could upgrade his Senju-related abilities in the future.
But he couldn't help but reflect on the situation.
"This battle was a wake-up call," he muttered.
He realized the importance of building his own power base. The thought of being manipulated or having his life controlled by others disgusted him.
"Never again," Yuma resolved.
His plan was clear—to begin consolidating power within the Uchiha clan.
The Uchiha were relatively easy to handle. As long as you could defeat them, you would gain their respect and, more importantly, their loyalty.
If he could convince them of his strength and vision, they would follow.
"Madara, Obito, Sasuke—they all followed the same pattern. Once defeated, they changed their stance," Yuma thought with a smirk.
Using the clan's desire to reclaim the Hokage position, he would gain their trust and allegiance.
With this resolve, Yuma walked over to the remains of 'White Zetsu,' sealed them into a storage scroll, and began collecting other spoils from the battlefield.
As he approached the Seven Ninja Swords of the Mist, the forest stirred.
"Hm? An ambush?" Yuma wondered.
He tightened his grip on his ninja sword, his Sharingan scanning the surroundings.
Then, he caught a glimpse of green light and a familiar chakra pattern.
"Oh... it's him," Yuma muttered, his tense shoulders relaxing.
Boom!
A figure landed heavily a short distance away.
The green light dissipated, revealing Might Dai.
"Yuma Jōnin, are you all right?" Dai asked, recognizing the Uchiha attire.
"Aside from one escaping, I defeated all the enemies. You can unlock the Eight Gates now, Uncle Dai," Yuma replied calmly.
Hearing this, Dai scanned the area.
Seeing the defeated enemies and the shattered battlefield, he nodded, unlocking the Eight Gates with relief.
"Hah... it seems the enemy wasn't as strong as we thought. Was the intel wrong?"
Curiously, Dai tilted his head. "By the way, how did you recognize me?"
Yuma sighed. "I've been Might Guy's team leader for some time now. Recognizing his father wasn't hard."
In truth, Dai's thick eyebrows and green jumpsuit were unmistakable.
As Yuma sealed the Seven Ninja Swords and collected the severed heads of his fallen enemies, Dai finally noticed the carnage and the legendary weapons scattered around.
His eyes widened in shock as he realized the scale of Yuma's victory.
