Chapter 39: Flying Thunder God Seal

The Seven Ninja Swordsmen

Uchiha Yuma suspected it might be the Seven Ninja Swordsmen.

But Uchiha Yuma didn't dare trust his instincts entirely.

He knew very well that, on his own, it wouldn't be a problem to face off against those seven formidable enemies.

The real trouble was the three companions he was tasked with leading.

They thought he was weaker than he actually was.

And no matter how strong one person is, it's impossible to protect three others while fighting seven powerful opponents at the same time.

Uchiha Yuma, having already assessed the situation clearly, didn't waste any words.

He turned to his team and said:

"The camp wants us to inspect this area... Fine! Let me take something out before we head off."

Reaching into the ninja bag on his waist, Yuma pulled out a scroll.

With a flick of his wrist, he tossed it into the air.

Bang!

A plume of smoke appeared, and from it materialized a stack of tags, each covered in intricate sealing scripts.

"Brother Yuma, are these explosive tags?" Shiranui Genma asked, confused.

Given the situation, why would he prepare explosive tags?

But before Yuma could reply, Ebisu—known for his theoretical knowledge—pushed up his sunglasses, shook his head, and said:

"No, these aren't explosive tags. The runes on explosive tags are different."

Yuma gave them both an exasperated look and said, "Stop guessing. These are my Flying Thunder God Seals. Each of you should take one."

He handed a tag to each of his companions.

In their time together, he had come to know them well enough to trust them with something this important.

Understanding the Team

Shiranui Genma was outgoing, often seeking attention because of his good looks.

Ebisu, on the other hand, was overly serious and constantly showed off his theoretical knowledge, which could be annoying at times.

And then there was Might Guy—cheerful, but not quite as confident as he would become in the future. At this stage, he still carried insecurities stemming from his father's reputation.

Despite their quirks, all three were good-hearted and loyal companions. Yuma didn't want anything bad to happen to them.

That's why he entrusted them with the Flying Thunder Tag Seals he had developed himself.

The Flying Thunder Tag

"What does this tag do?" Might Guy asked, examining it with curiosity.

He knew a little about ninjutsu but had focused mostly on taijutsu, as per his father's guidance.

"You've all seen the Flying Thunder God Technique in action over the past six months," Yuma replied.

The three nodded in unison.

"This tag is my own creation, inspired by the detonating tag . Once you activate it, I'll be able to sense your location and teleport to you instantly, no matter how dangerous the situation is."

Yuma's tone grew serious as he continued:

"It's a failsafe. If things go south, I'll make sure to get you out of harm's way."

The Flying Thunder God Technique had fascinated Yuma for some time. He had spent countless hours researching it, using the inspiration provided by the Sword of Ninja Love and the detonating tag.

While the detonating tag used stored chakra to create powerful explosions, Yuma realized he could repurpose the sealing technique to store chakra for teleportation instead.

The Genius Effect

This idea had been possible thanks to the [Genius (Gold)] ability Yuma had extracted from Kakashi.

Like Kakashi's seamless development of the Chidori, Yuma's creation of the Flying Thunder Tag Seal was smooth and intuitive.

The tag worked on a simple principle:

The holder would infuse a small amount of chakra into the tag. Yuma, sensing the chakra, could teleport to their location instantly. Alternatively, if the holder was in mortal danger, Yuma could remotely activate the stored chakra in the tag, teleporting to their side and bringing them back with him.

Now, with the tags distributed, the three teammates accepted them with a sense of awe and trust.

They had witnessed the incredible power of the Flying Thunder God Technique and knew Yuma wasn't exaggerating.

As the three tucked away their tags, Yuma gestured for them to follow.

"Let's move. We're heading to the area where the infiltration was reported."

Into the Forest

The sun hung high in the sky as the four-man team ran through a quiet forest.

Too quiet.

"Brother Yuma... something feels wrong!" Shiranui Genma warned, narrowing his eyes.

"Indeed," Yuma replied seriously. "This forest is unnaturally silent."

Stopping abruptly, Yuma formed a hand seal and focused his chakra. Closing his eyes, he activated his sensory abilities—an enhancement he had developed recently using the Senju bloodline he had inherited.

The [Genius (Gold)] ability came into play again, providing him with the creativity and intuition needed to master sensory techniques based on the bloodline limit.

Yuma opened his eyes suddenly, his expression grim.

He turned to his team and signaled for them to stop.

A Grave Warning

"Brother Yuma, what is it?" Might Guy asked, a bead of sweat rolling down his face.

They all knew Yuma's sensory abilities were reliable. If he had stopped them, something serious must be going on.

Looking at his three teammates with scarlet Sharingan eyes glowing, Yuma spoke firmly:

"You three, retreat to the camp immediately. If there are enemies, I'll hold them off!"

Before they could protest, Yuma quickly formed a hand seal.

Bang!

A plume of smoke appeared, revealing a shadow clone standing beside him.

The real Yuma's expression hardened as he prepared to face whatever threat lay ahead.
