Hogwarts: The Unscientific Wizard (TL)

Looking at the fangs, sacks, and claw-like bloody parts – resembling monster drop illustrations in grim fantasy stories – floating before them and the giant spiders that plopped on the ground with a thud. 

Hermione turned pale from shock and horror.

But at a second glance, realising they were just scary, giant spiders, she composed herself a bit and asked. "How did you do it? Disarming Charm can only disarm the weapons and objects held by the target, right?"

"Moreover, Acromantula has magic resistance." 

"Well, you know Harry used the Disarming Charm to stop Voldemort's killing curse, right?" Andy, who was in a good mood, asked.

Seeing her nod, he continued, "I also used that spell against Voldemort to test it, and it worked wonders."

"After that, I realised the whole 'disarm' is a broad concept. We can even disarm a spell like a killing curse if we are good enough. If we have enough mental strength and magic, we can disarm all the threatening means opponents could use against us."

"This morning, seeing you use that fog spell. This realisation once again hit me."

"All the spells have a broad concept. Our belief, emotions, and magic are all that matter."

"After we master the spell, we should go beyond the standard rules and guidelines. We can separate the Lumos light from the wand and make it float around us; maybe we can even make the eyes of our opponent light up during a fight."

"That's why I tried the spell on the Acromantula, and it worked." 

"But because of the magic resistance, we need more focus and power to pull out the threatening parts inside the body. The outer parts, like fangs and claws, are a bit easier compared to the inside parts."

"Do you want to give it a try?" After giving her a few seconds to digest, Andy asked in a curious tone. 

Andy was quite curious to see how she would respond, because the Hermione in the first and second year would have immediately refused and called this a dark magic variation of the spell.

So he wants to see how much Hermione's tolerance toward such a spell increased. That's why he used a spell that might cause a bloody scene, other than wanting to test his thoughts and make his understanding of magic deeper.

Hermione paused for a few seconds, with a big struggle going on inside her head.

Although she didn't stop Andy from learning dark magic, she was always resistant to it.

But when she thought about the times she was unable to help Andy despite wanting to, her heart got heavy.

Thinking about how Grindelwald was able to roam free after all his past deeds and being able to slowly whitewash himself.

Hermione already realised the important truth of the world. 

Power can solve pretty much everything.

That's why she is trying hard to get strong.

If she lacks strength, won't she become another Fudge, even if she manages to become Minister, will lack ability to make a difference and introduce her policies smoothly?

All the Ministers who made big changes are strong wizards. If the weak one tried to go against the purebloods' will, they would end up dead or kicked out of the Minister's post. 

With all these thoughts, Hermione decided to try this variation.

From now on, she decided to set herself one strict bottomline: Never harm an innocent and try to become stronger without breaking it.

"Hm." Then, Hermione answered.

Hearing her response, Andy was happy. Now, there is no need for him to overly worry about what to do if she stumbles upon his experiment in the future.

Maybe she will soon turn from pure Gryffindor to a member of the Collins family, just like his mother.

Joining the dark side.

In a good mood, Andy decided to tease her a bit. "Did you say something? I can't hear you."

"Okay."

"What's okay?"

Feeling slightly frustrated, she yelled, "I want to try too!"

Then, seeing his smile, she understood he was teasing her, so she puffed her cheeks and turned her head.

Only after a bit of coaxing, she looked at him again and started to ask about the spell. 

A few minutes later, Andy levitated the Acromantula that Hermione had stunned before towards them and let her try the Disarming Charm.

After a dozen tries, although she wasn't able to pull out its sacks, she managed to pull out a few of its fangs.

Then, after a lot of practice, when she got the hang of it and pulled all the fangs and sharp hook-like parts at the legs, Andy collected all the sellable body parts and venom before they left for the castle.

That night, Andy's Patronus became more brighter, and he also got a good night's sleep.

The next morning, after breakfast, Andy first wrote a letter to Carrow to remind him of his arrival this evening and to have everything ready.

Then he wrote the twins a letter to discuss about the amusement park and facilities.

Before, apart from investment and ideas, Andy didn't get involved much because of his lack of abilities.

But now that he has started to learn alchemy, he wants to participate in the equipment creation process.

Moreover, after seeing the planetarium in the Department of Mysteries, Andy also wants to personally slowly create one for himself.

The next semester, Andy planned to buy all the equipment from a closed amusement park using his grandfather's connection and personally participate in the modification to gain more potential points.

Without him knowing, Andy's schedule for next semester seemed a bit full.

From the duel with Dumbledore to alchemy practice, basic spell modifications, experiments on the fusion of body and mind (True soul), and a date with Hermione, he has a lot on his plate.

And since this is the twins' last year in Hogwarts, they planned to buy land outside Hogsmeade this winter holiday using the money he gave and build the facilities the next semester.

He didn't know whether they had bought one, so he also asked about that in the letter.

During the construction, Andy also intended to build two personal labs for himself. One on the surface and one underground.

After sending both letters, Andy went to the Room of Requirement to practice, only to find Hermione already inside. So they practised together until lunchtime.

After lunch, Andy and Hermione went to the Muggle world for a date.

Later that evening, when they returned to Hogwarts. Andy left the castle, saying that he was going to deal with amusement park construction and other issues related to it.

And that's not a total lie. As he is going to bring the consumables that will be used in the underground lab that he plans to build later.
