Hogwarts: The Unscientific Wizard (TL)

Andy naturally understood what Grindelwald meant by experiment.

It was nothing more than finding someone to create a Horcrux, then killing and resurrecting him using 'Voldemort's Resurrection Ritual' to analyse the principles behind the resurrection ritual.

Grindelwald had many followers and was not short of mindless idiots.

He only needed to give an order to make this happen.

At this thought, Andy raised an eyebrow slightly. "You're an expert adept in dark magic; haven't you read 'The Secrets of the Darkest Art'?"

"I've never thought about creating a Horcrux."

Grindelwald explained, "I'd rather accept my own death than split my soul."

"As for that resurrection ritual…"

"Of course I know how to perform it, and you know it too, but we can't turn it into a spell."

Andy could only sigh in silence in response.

Modern magic is really very simple. You just need to chant the incantation, wave the wand, and focus on the corresponding intent and emotions; that's all it takes to cast a spell.

It's so simple that most wizards know how to cast a spell, despite not really understanding the underlying principles.

Voldemort's resurrection ritual may sound impressive, but once you know the specific ritual steps, most wizards can replicate it.

But no one knows the principles behind that resurrection ritual!

Andy thought about this for a moment.

After communicating with Grindelwald, Andy no longer had too much hope in the resurrection ritual.

How simple was magical transfiguration?

Andy only needed to add a few points to increase the power of magical transfiguration. After [Constitution] reached level 7, Andy could attempt to fuse the magic in his body with mental power.

In addition, alchemy could not be neglected.

After all, the Philosopher's Stone could grant long life!

Of course, Andy would only utilise it for the purpose of 'magicalizing the body'.

After a moment of silence, Andy let out a breath and asked, "When do we start?"

Andy didn't want to give up on the resurrection ritual.

After all, this is the magic that can be used to rebuild the body!

In the material world, it is impossible for the body to remain incorruptible.

If Andy wants to live forever in the true sense, he must obtain the method to remake his body.

Magic transfiguration can make the body magical.

The Philosopher's Stone can make one live longer.

The resurrection ritual can be used to rebuild the body.

You can achieve true immortality by combining the three.

Naturally, Andy wants to have it all!

Grindelwald's lips twitched slightly, revealing an imperceptible smile after hearing Andy's reply.

"Anytime."

"Creating a Horcrux is easy, but the resurrection ritual requires some preparations."

"I'll arrange everything before your holiday ends," Grindelwald said with conviction.

"Thank you." said Andy.

Although he knew that Grindelwald's motives weren't entirely pure, this didn't stop Andy from pursuing his passion for magic.

Because...

He is only one step away from achieving his goal!

Maybe he can even let Hermione take charge of the political side when the time comes, given her interest in bringing equality, order and peace to the wizarding world. 

"Collins, any questions?" Grindelwald asked with a smile.

"The Department of Mysteries..."

Andy asked, "When are we going there?"

After a moment's thought, Grindelwald said, "How about Christmas Eve? Everyone will be on holiday, leaving the Ministry of Magic with minimal guards."

"Minimal guards?"

Andy raised an eyebrow slightly. "We're going to break in?"

Grindelwald laughed. "Of course not! But some people in the Ministry of Magic have a bit of a misunderstanding about me. They might assume I'm planning to carry out some kind of violent act against the Ministry of Magic."

Andy: "..."

Andy felt that their concerns were not unfounded.

"Okay, then we'll visit on Christmas Eve."

Andy nodded, happy that the two things he had planned to get done in Europe were now sorted.

After a moment's thought, Andy added, "There's just one more thing... Mr Grindelwald, could you cast the Imperius Curse on me?"

Andy was curious to see how resistant his soul became after fusing with mind and magic.

Back at Hogwarts, Andy had asked Hermione's help to experiment, but the young witch's proficiency in dark magic was truly disappointing – her Imperius Curse did not affect Andy even a bit.

To be honest, Andy would prefer to experiment with the killing curse.

But...

Experimenting with the killing curse could be fatal.

"It shouldn't work."

Grindelwald said, "Your soul has already merged with your mind, so theoretically, the Imperius Curse can no longer affect your soul."

"Of course, it should also be the case in reality!"

Grindelwald said with a smile and continued, "Collins, the spell you want to try more is the Killing Curse, isn't it?"

Andy spread his hands in response.

Without a doubt, the Killing Curse was the spell Andy feared the most.

In the material world, the soul cannot be destroyed.

However, in the world of magic, the souls of people killed by the Killing Curse will not remain unharmed.

"Currently, it is difficult to kill me with conventional means."

Andy said confidently, "Whether it is the magic of a wizard or the weapon of a muggle, even if my body is destroyed, my soul can escape."

"That resurrection ritual can bring me back again!"

This is the confidence that True Soul has given Andy!

In the material world, the soul is immortal!

So Andy is very curious to know if the Killing Curse can harm his True Soul.

But... Andy didn't dare to try it.

He's afraid of death!

Although the Killing Curse is deadly, it is actually quite easy to defend against.

You can dodge it or use physical defence.

From this perspective, Andy is now somewhat invincible.

"Haha."

Grindelwald chuckled before saying, "In the history of the wizarding world, only two people have managed to survive a Killing Curse attack."

One was Harry Potter.

The other was Voldemort.

Harry was able to survive because of the passive resistance spell his mother had cast at the cost of her own life, and Voldemort was able to survive because he had a Horcrux.

"As long as your soul remains in your body, you cannot avoid the killing curse," Grindelwald concluded.

Andy sighed.

This was actually what Andy had been thinking.

However, until he has confirmed it, Andy still has a glimmer of hope.

But... the reality is cruel.

The Killing Curse is still the biggest threat to Andy.

This means that even if Andy completes magic transfiguration, creates a Philosopher's Stone, and possesses a spell that can instantly reform his body, the Killing Curse can still kill Andy!

Thinking about this, Andy's face became a little cloudy.

Andy can accept being defeated, but he can't accept being instantly killed!

The Killing Curse: this spell can instantly reduce all of Andy's efforts into nothing. 

What's more terrifying is the fact that the vast majority of adult wizards can cast the Killing Curse. 

In a sense, the Killing Curse really does treat all living things equally. It is the gun of the wizarding world.

'I must find a solution to this.' Andy thought to himself.
