Hogwarts, i am Dementor

Chapter 210: Chapter 210: Harry Potter's Blood... Can't You Forget About Him, Little Voldy? Aren't I Enough?!

Clearly, Voldemort wanted to whip up a body ASAP.

He probably just couldn't wait any longer – if he did, his old crew of Death Eaters would all turn into dummies in Azkaban, and Dumbledore looked like he could live another hundred years...

As for this meeting spot, Voldemort probably wanted Cohen to open the door to the Room of Requirement at ten o'clock; it was safer to talk there.

Voldemort had briefly visited once last year – but thankfully, most of Cohen's luggage was now stashed in his trunk, so Voldemort wouldn't see the Horcruxes he was constantly worried about.

After dinner, Cohen returned to the Room of Requirement to wait for Voldemort to arrive.

His two flesh-and-blood puppets were still tucked away in the trunk. If he took them out this smoothly, it would seem too suspicious – at the very least, he had to let Voldemort know that "making a body for him was a big hassle."

"Why do you smell like dog?"

Earl, carrying two bird legs, scurried over to Cohen on the ground.

"Don't tell me you found another set of parents—"

"It kind of feels like you're insulting me," Cohen looked at Earl suspiciously. "This time, I found Harry's 'parent.'"

"You've gotta be kidding me," Earl flapped his wings and flew onto the table. "You went to Hogsmeade, not Godric's Hollow."

"It was his godfather," Cohen said. "Sirius Black. I felt like he had a panic attack the moment he saw me; he just lunged at me without saying a word."

"Anyone who's been in Azkaban for over a decade would have a panic attack when they encounter a Dementor again," Earl looked at Cohen with sharp eyes. "But he didn't run away; instead, he charged at you...?"

"Yeah, because he wanted to beat me up," Cohen nodded.

"Because he has something he wants to protect!" Earl lowered his head and pecked at his wing. "Even a bird like me understands people better than you..."

"As a Dementor with only 10% human blood in me, I'm already trying my best!" Cohen retorted. "I've got some humanity in me, at least."

But after Earl's reminder, Cohen felt like he had indeed been developing in a strange direction over the past two years – he seemed to be becoming more and more like a Dementor "playing human."

Whether it was with Dumbledore or Voldemort, he was always putting on a show – but thankfully, the "fear" that the Boggart had found made Cohen feel like he still had a little bit of humanity left.

At least he still had things he cared about... like family or something. It was definitely better than having the orphanage director deduct hundreds of dollars from his living expenses every time he went back to the orphanage in his previous life.

"And after he pounced on you? You just went along with it?" Earl asked curiously.

"I know who corrupted me," Cohen looked at Earl calmly. "Just how many young wizards did you mess with in the past?"

"A young wizard wouldn't be corrupted by a bird," Earl turned his head away and said. "You're just naturally talented in that area – so, did you go along with it?"

"Go along with your butt!" Cohen glared fiercely at Earl. "Me, get pinned down by a prisoner? I'm a Dementor! I just flipped him over with a backhand."

"Boring..." Earl said disappointedly.

"Get used to it," Cohen said dryly. "Looks like I was fantasizing again, imagining you were a normal owl."

[Soul Strength: 40+10]

"No time to argue with you – Voldemort's coming to find me."

Cohen stood up from the chair.

"What?!" Earl instantly jolted. "Voldemort? Here?!"

"Yeah, isn't it normal for my business partner to come find me?" Cohen said to Earl as a matter of course. "You can say hi to him too; he's pretty easy to talk to—"

"..." Earl was silent now – just like it was an ordinary owl.

Seeing that Voldemort had arrived, Cohen went to the door and opened it a crack for him.

As a wraith, Voldemort couldn't be recognized by the Room of Requirement, let alone actively enter Cohen's room – he could only come in if Cohen opened the door for him.

Voldemort's wraith floated into the room and burrowed into the book on Cohen's desk – this way, he would have a medium to talk to Cohen.

"You said..." Voldemort's face appeared menacingly from the book, "...after a year... help me create a body..."

"Didn't I say next year?" Cohen said. "I haven't gotten Nicolas Flamel's inheritance yet – aren't you being a little too impatient?"

"A body can be replaced..." Although Voldemort's voice was very faint, one could still hear his anxiety. "I have a spell for reshaping a body... but it requires some... materials..."

"You sound like you've got erectile dysfunction – what materials?" Cohen asked. "If you want my blood, you can have it anytime, but I'm telling you in advance, I only donate 50cc. Any more will affect my growth..."

"I don't need your blood this time..." Voldemort said. "Something less... potent will do. I want Harry Potter's blood..."

"?"

Cohen put on a surprised and annoyed expression.

"You'd rather have his blood than mine?! I thought we were good teammates fighting side-by-side!"

"No... no..." Voldemort quickly explained, "I had an idea... his mother saved him with 'sacrificial protection'... that ancient magic will flow in his blood... neither of us can harm him..."

"And then you want to take his blood to create a body, and then use this body, protected by the same magic, to kill him?" Cohen asked.

"Yes..." Voldemort said, "And it must be me... there was once a prophecy..."

"What kind of prophecy?"

Cohen suddenly thought of something – since he had appeared in this world, would the original "prophecy" about Voldemort and Harry still be the same?

Or would... he also be included in it?

"'The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him... born as the seventh month dies...'" Voldemort said. "Severus only heard the first part... it refers to Harry Potter..."

Coincidentally... Cohen's birthday was also in July, July 15th, which was the birth date of Edward and Rose's former child.

But obviously, Voldemort didn't know this, because the current Cohen was "created" after Voldemort's death.

"You have to help me get Harry Potter's blood..." Voldemort said. "I need his blood to make my first body... kill him... and then use your more powerful body to conquer the entire world..."
