His Breeding Obsession

Chapter 108

Limits.

It was a law of nature, in other words.

‘And yet, here I am, breaking those limits.’

Mirania’s heart sank in disbelief.

It was easy to talk about limits. It’s easy to say you’re beyond them.

But in a thousand years of living, she had heard and experienced, that not a single entity had ever overcome the powers, duties, and limits imposed by nature.

“They say humans are the only race that can escape their limitations, but that’s all they are.” “…” “Because their race has so many limitations, they sometimes do extraordinary things. All life follows the path we have written. A thousand years ago, the human Adensha nearly strayed, an anomaly in this world, but she failed, and eventually died, didn’t she?”

Mirania found nothing in the old woman’s words to refute, so she fell silent.

“There’s a reason why Grecan can rampage beyond his limits.” “…”

The reluctant-looking old woman sighed as if the ground would soon give way.

“It’s because of that thing outside the law. It shouldn’t have been there, and it’s what caused everything to happen.” “What is that?” “I’m sure you can guess.”

A cursed and revered artifact.

Mirania spat out the answer through clenched teeth.

“The red flower.” “Yes. It belongs to the realm of the gods, a stain that breaks the laws of this world. I should have known better. My mistake, our mistake.”

The old woman twisted her thin lips as if grinding her teeth.

Mirania was surprised to realize the source of the strangeness she had sensed in the red flower, but it still didn’t make sense.

“What does that have to do with Grecan?” “Once upon a time. The leader of the wolf clan made someone take the red flower to save his companion. She was carrying a child in her belly. The child was born and she died. He was discouraged that the red flower didn’t work, but he didn’t know better. In truth, the red flower had done its job.” “It wasn’t the woman who was saved…”

The old woman said in horror.

“The red flower chose the fetus and saved it.” “…” “Originally, Grecan was destined to die. And as a side effect of the Red Flower, its mother died.”

The old woman had said some pretty gruesome things with such nonchalance.

I wonder how Balkan would have reacted to hearing this? Would he have hated Grecan even more?

Mirania, familiar with the relationship between Balkan and Grecan, listened to the story with a sense of disbelief and shook her head.

“Wait, that doesn’t make sense. How can you be a leading figure in the world if you’re destined to die…”

When Mirania paused, the old woman clicked her tongue.

“I told you, the Red Flower is against the laws of the world. Grecan lived and was chosen by the Red Flower. It was Grecan who interfered with the fate of Leverianz, which was meant to be.”

When Mirania found herself at a loss for words, the old woman calmly asserted.

“Grecan was born with a red flower. It allowed him to push the limits, to challenge the authority of his creator.” “…” “With that power, you destroyed my world, you bastard… you, that bastard!”

The old woman, who had suddenly begun to seize, continued to curse at Grecan.

“You dare, how could you, a foolish subject, who doesn’t even know what the laws of the universe are!”

The old woman, who had been pacing to herself, let out a long sigh.

Mirania couldn’t help but look at the old woman suspiciously, as her emotions seemed to fluctuate between this and that.

It was a little disconcerting to realize that this being was the Creator, but she also realized the reason for her troubles after several regressions.

Not wanting to deal with it anymore, Mirania hurriedly spoke up.

“Creator, there must be a reason you told me this.” “…” “What do you want from me?”

The old woman’s eyes glowed red. Unlike when she described the events after Mirania’s death, the old woman’s tone was furious. It was as if her personality had changed.

Mirania seemed to understand the word ‘we’ that the old woman repeatedly spat out.

“There is something I need you to do.” “I don’t want to hear it.”

The old woman sneered at her little complaint.

“It’s not something you can refuse to do if you don’t want to.” “You resent Grecan’s destruction of the world, and you blame me for it, so it’s easier to understand what you want.” “Really? What do you think I want from you?” “…I think you want this body to stop Grecan.”

After a pause, Mirania muttered bitterly.

 “Right.”

The different

‘old woman’

whispered,

“You must live. If only to keep my world from being ruined.” “If the world is broken and time has been turned back, then the same fate will repeat itself when I die anyway, and I am not confident.”

The old woman smiled in response to Mirania’s plea for rest.

It’s a grim, almost scheming smile.

 “That won’t happen now.”

Mirania was about to ask what that meant. The old woman waved her hand in dismissal.

“I’m done talking. This will be the last time, and unfortunately, you’re the only one I can count on. If you don’t do something about it, this world will be ruined for good this time, and it won’t recover. That will mean the end of your beloved trees, grasses, animals, and other intelligent beings. Because of him, you too are now out of my grasp, and I hope you choose wisely, unlike him.” “You can’t be so one-sided…” “Enough complaining, now go back.”

The ground suddenly gave out beneath her feet, and before she could scream, Mirania was plummeting into the void.

She panicked at the sensation of falling into the black depths, but there was nothing she could do about it in this strange realm, so she forced herself to focus.

Nothing could be seen, not even what was right in front of her.

Time and sensation collapsed, and Mirania curled into a ball as she fell downward.

Her mind eased, and she thought of nothing. Somehow, it feels like this should be what she’s been hoping for.

What do you expect me to do, you old fool of a creator? I’ve suffered ten times, I should find another way, not make my old body suffer again.

Hopefully.

‘I hope there will be no regression…’

If only things were as they are now, without the need for a return to life.

Mirania wished she hadn’t gotten herself into this mess.

Her body plunged endlessly beneath her, not sure if there was a bottom or not.

For what seemed like a hundred years in real-time.

The heavens have opened.

A new sky has appeared. The blue sky set and the red sky rose.

For a hundred years, during which the earth and sky were turned upside down, the Leanna Empire was tumultuous, and there was never a good night’s sleep.

Every day brought with it the daily rise and fall of lunatics who proclaimed the end of the world and rebel seeds who demanded a return to the past.

The world of man had fallen apart, and a world of beasts had arrived.

A world divided into two continents, one human and one other, had fallen into the hands of the beasts, and it had happened decades before.

When an old power collapses, a new power emerges to take its place.

The elegant and refined mansions of the human aristocracy became the domain of the new beasts and the like, who had taken over the imperial capital.

It was a time of reversal between the slave and the master.
